Emir announced, "We've reached."
"Oh, finally the ride has stopped," Ember said, catching her breath.
"Let's go. We're getting late," Emir urged.
As they stepped out of the car, Emir instructed, "Hold my hand, Ember, tight."
She followed his directive, gripping his hand tightly. "Run!" he exclaimed and took off.
"What?!" Ember exclaimed, taken aback by his sudden burst of energy.
They sprinted towards the classroom, hand in hand. Ember managed to ask, "Can you please slow down?"
Emir glanced back while running, and their eyes met. His soft smile sent a wave of happiness through her.
In Ember's heart, a whirlwind of thoughts raced, 'My mind is on cloud nine. I forgot we were running. I just want to hold his hand tight and not let go. It's like something out of a drama, happening in my life. His smile, so carefree, I can't forget it.'
Arriving in the classroom, Ember realized, "Oh! We're not late."
"Yes, we're not late," Emir confirmed.
They faced each other and burst into laughter, "Ha ha ha ha…"
After settling into their seats, the class began in a few minutes.
At the end of the lecture, the instructor asked, "Tell us about the homework you need to do."
Ember exclaimed, "Oh! I forgot to do my homework."
Emir questioned, "What homework are you talking about?"
"Actually, it's a task for my college," she clarified.
"Let me help you with that after class. We can head to the library," Emir suggested.
Ember smiled and agreed, "Okay."
After the class, they headed to the library.
"Wow, your library is so big. Even my college library isn't this big," Ember remarked.
Emir faced her, running his hand through his hair. "Sometimes you're just too cute."
Ember asked, "Did you say something?"
"No. Let's sit here," Emir gestured.
"Hmm. You know, I love spending time in the library, even back at college. Books always have something new to offer," Ember shared, maintaining a bright smile.
"So, what's the topic of your homework?" Emir inquired.
"Well, I have to make a presentation on management accounting," Ember replied.
"Okay, you sit. I'll fetch the books for this topic," Emir offered, and Ember nodded.
As Emir left, Ember started feeling a bit bored. Deciding to take a stroll, she noticed Emir talking to a girl. She discreetly peered from behind a bookshelf, trying to overhear their conversation.
"Dylan, why haven't you been coming to college? You know yesterday was a crucial day for you. You had an important shoot for our college. You're representing us," the girl scolded.
Emir remained silent, not saying a word.
"Are you even listening to me?" the girl raised her voice.
Emir finally responded, "I know."
