I've already done a UNION update on Day 1.5, so I'll immediately move on to my status.
So well...I'm short on metal here.
Probably cause of my rusty-ass skills, entering EXPANSION 3, I've already started running out of resources, specifically metal. I've barely covered the costs of the construction of the [Generic Port III], increasing the number of SHIPS I can manufacture.
Now with this concern, I've changed my focus to allocating my focus to start building DESTROYERS, which I need a [Destroyer Dockyard] to do so and start manufacturing the AC721 Destroyers.
One of the main reasons I've been looking forward to unlocking the AC721 series is that they have upgrades for their storage system, meaning that I can carry more resources across per trip for my mining OPERATIONS. This will increase the productivity and the efficiency, covering the costs for future upgrades which costs over 100k metals...
To understand the severity of this issue to me, I can only produce 17k metal per hour and the majority of the upgrades in EXPANSION 3 here cost more than 100k and EXPANSION 6 has a minimum of 1 mil metal per base upgrade. The costs for manufacturing Cruisers aren't as cheap as Destroyers as well.
For comparison, the [FG300 - Multi-Role Frigate] has storage of 2000 units, meaning it can carry 2000 metals.
For the [AC721 - Heavy Logistic Destroyer], it has a starting storage capacity of 6000 units. Plus, the storage capacity of the AC721 series can be upgraded by 720 units per upgrade and this can be done 10 times. This means at the max storage capacity, it can carry 13200 units of metal by itself.
~ Note: in the upgrading menu for the [AC721 - Heavy Logistic Destroyer] is 6% per upgrade, which is 360 units, so I'm not sure if this was an error or not.
Well thankfully, EXPANSION 3 has an exclusive base upgrade for metal; unlocking it boosts +5000 metal per hour and per upgrade adds another 1000 units. And I could upgrade this 10 times, so recovering from this issue will be fairly easy.
Of course, my production is still slow even with this upgrade, so I'll have to wait a bit to unlock the [Capital Shipyard II] and continue upgrading the [Generic Port II].
Opening my eighth Black FILES, I was able to get another BLUEPRINT of a FIGHTER this time. The [Bullfrog - Dual-Purpose Bomber] shows outstanding ANTI-SHIP and SIEGE Firepower // GRADE: A. Apart from its GRADE: C Survivability, it's a pretty good LARGE FIGHTER that can be equipped to the [KCCPV2.0 - Light Aircraft Cruiser] later on.
Though I'm still wondering why am I now getting all the BLUEPRINTS with high GRADES in Siege? Does the game want me to be building a Fleet solely for Siege or something?
Well, I won't refuse this blessed RNG. I've gotten the Mare Nubium and the Bullfrog here. What's next? My all-time favorite Taurus Destroyer or another high-Grade Siege ship like the Spear of Uranus?
But I'd prefer to get the Taurus Destroyer since it's much cheaper and quicker to build a Destroyer this early than having to wait till EXPANSION 7, spent a dumpster load of resources just to wait for another 8 hours to actually use the Battlecruiser.
Anyways, time to just be talking about today's status.
[Leader] Rico and [Officer] CPT Hook have started planning the first City OPERATIONS. Showing the following details of the city:
New Glynde
It is a comprehensive building complex that fulfills the basic residential, trading, and industrial needs and is particularly common in the outer rims of the start system due to its low construction cost.
UNION BONUS will be increased after the city is captured: +500 metal per hour
300+ SHIPS
Defense Fleet
Lv (Level)
Lv7 x 2
Lv6 x 6
The city is located in the far northern part of Region 5, while I'm located somewhat in the middle part, so it's a long trip for me. There's no specific schedule, but it seems that the UNION wanted to start the first City Operation within 3 days, a week at most.
But the progress of the UNION is very fast as we've leveled up to Level 4 this morning, maxing at 60 players now. There are still another 12 applications of players wanting to join the UNION.
I've also spotted several BLUEPRINTS being posted into the UNION of a Tundra and a Winged Hussar which is impressive.
The [Tundra - Tactical Destroyer] is essentially a healer. It's such a good SHIP TYPE to use in the early game, out healing the enemy's damage. Though I've heard that it starts to fall off once it can't keep up with the DPS in the later game.
The [Winged Hussar - Light Missile Destroyer] from what I've remembered is one of the strongest damage dealers among the Destroyers along with Taurus.
It's both good and painful to see that our UNION has some lucky fellows working together.
Of course, a tiny bit more painful...
Though, I have to say regarding the situation of the UNIONS is a little surprising. Maybe it's because of the UNION Leveling system, limiting the number of members per level when in the past, it has a capacity of 100 players instantly once it opens, but I felt the impression that it isn't as crowded as usual.
It might just be because it's just the second day, so there might be more people joining in on the third day before a new server opens up.
It's still early today, so I'll be ending this log here and making another update by the end of the day.
