Skipping Yesterday

POV: Ikeda Akihiko

I lasted for thirty minutes running and hiding while I lured them away from Kenshin. It's good that we've successfully lost their trails, but I'm concerned about why they are moving abnormally.

It's good that I've escaped from stalling them, but it feels like they're intentionally slowing their movements. I don't know if it's a coincidence, but they don't even hit me with a bullet even if I'm in the wide open. It's just weird.

Anyway, after that, I followed Kenshin to our meeting place, the broken bridge. It has been an hour since we let the girls escape. As I went to the site, I saw Kenshin staring at the rope that is cut off from both sides.

"W… what happened here…" I stuttered as I kneel down on the ground. My eyes were completely drowning from the darkness beneath. My heart starts to blink rapidly while trying to clear out the positive future.
