The Suppression of the Falsehood Nihil

With the absence of sounds and movement, out of nowhere, the wind that was obliterated with the tendrils-flailing void wall and its attached horse head, had appeared once again, accompanying the sorrowful look of the giant sapient.

His eyes glowed red. Even though his mouth didn't move an inch, the voice of a grown man started to reply to the voice of the child.

"My son, wherefore seek'st thou thy face thus to hide?"

There was no answer, nothing happened, and nothing ever moved. The silence was held for nineteen-six seconds.

Until finally, the voice of the unknown child echoed once again.

"Dost see not the Erl-King, with crown and with train?"

In fast motion, the giant skipped numerous grounds in a matter of a second, rushing into my direction as he grabbed something with his left hand. The trail of the wind was stretched from the in-between of his fingers.

Waiting for such a moment, I weaved the handle above my head, with the long blade facing the ground, leaving my left wrist to support the hot blade by its body, preparing to block the attack.

Before even making a possible contact, the giant did a feint with his left arm being swung into the air, four meters in front of me—before he tightened his grip on the invisible object, and pulled out a bright and ferocious thunder out of thin air.

He then swung that massive electrical mass.

Mirroring his actions, I immediately replied to the generous strike with an offensive act, as I pushed the blade of my MIND with my supporting wrist, weaving the blade in a build-up spin, fast enough to connect the arriving 'thunder' on its way to my skull.

At that moment, I commanded Adust to sprawl her tidal matters. Not far away from the timing of the clash, she splotched the blue Tidal Scar at every direction, allowing more surface to connect with the lighting.

It absorbed every electricity into the conductible liquid matters, trapping it, allowing an extreme amount of kinetic energy to be available for Adust to consume.

In the middle of the absorption, when there was still a lot of electricity within the semi-liquid mass—I advanced forward with my footsteps, spinning and weaving the blade of my MIND before using all of the momentum into a decisive thrust into the giant's chest.

A burst of electrical explosion along with the ejection of the Tidal Scar was discharged on the other end, where the tip of the blade went all the way, protruding on his back.

Not wanting to disperse the intensity of my offence just yet, I commanded Adust to fill the inside of the giant with a gust of semi-liquid matter of extreme amount of Piranha Scar. Just like injecting water into a balloon, the giant's body began to swell excessively.

But before I could burst him to death, a storm of pitch black dust began to envelop his body, swirling and churning, preventing the whole chemical reaction of piranha-solution-like semi-liquid that Adust produced.

"Hmmph!?"

Cracks began to form on his body, creating a vein-like formation all over his skin that glows in dark grey. Aside from that, I felt a sharp rise in temperature. Gradually, a lot of smoke escaped from the cracks.

No, it wasn't smoke. It was a mist! This damn bastard, he was creating the mist by converting the Piranha Scar using the heat inside his body!

With a fast reaction, I commanded Adust to eject a dense propelling force using her Tidal Scar, creating a huge distance gap between me and this hell of a monster.

"My son," spoke the adult voice, as the giant's eyes started to glow intensely under the cloudy mist. "'Tis the mist rising over the plain."

In reflex, I stopped my breathing to prevent any of these poisonous gas from reaching my lungs.

Then again, the Piranha Scar was supposed to be combustible. It should explode when exposed with heat.

Did the property of the MIND's manifestation had been manipulated inside his body?

Well, it could also be the fact that everything a MIND tries to manifest won't be perfectly accurate to the existing reference of the matters. As one could say that the MIND created its own law of physics that was similar, but not the exact same as the one that exists within this reality.

Too dissimilar would make the manifestation completely unstable otherwise.

Heck, Adust herself seemed to be confused by this phenomenon. With our mind synchronized, she could read my thoughts. As of now, she was suggesting that my guess about the manipulated Piranha Scar to be plausible.

And she told me to run away.

In that instant, I immediately knew that I was not supposed to fight this monster head on.

And with me still trying to comprehend the situation, the giant began to walk menacingly in my direction. I couldn't waste more energy to clash. In the end, my only option was to defend.

He weaved his hand onto the string of the bow, pulling it out. Out of thin air, the very same arrow that was lunging at my head back then had manifested with a spark.

Then the child's voice was echoing again.

That exact moment.

I closed my eye.

Ears opened.

"My father! My father! And dost thou not hear, the words that the Erl-King now breathes in mine ear?"

To which I oppose the logical incapability within this fight, I highly deemed that the overwhelming echoes of the child-like voice could be proven to be coming from one source, despite it coming from multiple angles within the vast area of the Lowstreet that was filled from intersection in every direction.

Just as the same time where the giant picked his bowstring, I ran in the one direction from many layers of incoming echoes that I felt to be stronger than others the most.
