The Final Battle (2) - 16

A/N: So, I split today's chapter into 2 parts, just to get the split between the volumes right, that's why this chapter will be a little bit shorter than normal, and the next chapter will be a lot shorter than normal.

She was all red in the face, and she had actually covered her eyes like a child, putting her two palms to her face whilst still curious and looking through the cracks between her fingers.

"What are you so red about, dear disciple?" I asked teasingly.

"Y-y-you t-two!" She cried out, looking back and forth between our smiling, flustered faces as her eyes kept looking at our held hands and her hand kept touching her own lips.

"What? We were lovers before all of this happened..." I replied, translating for my sister who didn't have a writing utensil or anything to write on.

Kanao looked at Yasu to see if my translation had been correct, and Yasu nodded, telling her that my translation was trustworthy.

"B-b-but, Yasu! Don't you think it's too sudden?"

"What? I trust him with all my heart, and I know he feels the same about me too."

"B-but..."

We just let Kanao absorb everything as played with each other by squeezing each other's hands in fun patterns.

"So, Kanao, time's up. Do you want to travel with us or not?"

"Travel?"

You see, I had already relayed my situation to my sister through our almost telepathic form of communication, and, as she trusted me 100%, she didn't even question how or why?

But, for Kanao, it would obviously be different.

"Let's just say that we want to take you on an adventure with us."

"A-a-adventure?"

Hearing this, her mind was obviously in the gutter, so I had to do my job as her master and help her drag it out.

"Yes, we'll be traveling to a place that you've never heard of, but I promise, the experience will be fun."

But then, thinking of something that would solve my problem quickly, I just decided to say,

"Just flip your coin."

"O-okay..."

She flipped her coin, and voila! She definitely got heads out of pure, absolute luck, I definitely had nothing to do with it.

Anyways, there was one final thing that I had to tell her before I went and killed Tanjiro, as that would be the fastest way out of here, and now that I had already checked with my sister if it was okay, I could do it without a heavy burden weighing on my heart.

"I have a feeling that something will happen, so, when a darkness engulfs you and you hear the voice of a higher being, just don't listen to anything he says and respond with, "I want to keep my Star Breathing"."

"O-okay..."

"Oh, and before I forget, here's the rest of the forms."

Walking over to her whilst dragging Yasu along with me, I touched her forehead and transferred all my memories regarding the breathing technique to her.

This just had something to do with my tranquil blood demon art thingy, don't worry about it.

Anyways, after that, all the preparations were ready, so all I had to do was kill Tanjiro, which I did, standing in place, using my tranquil demon art to kill him after locating him with my demon senses, by putting him in the state of ultimate tranquilness, aka, death.

And, immediately afterwards, we were all presumably engulfed by a blackness.

"Yo Rob, I'm glad to be back."

"How'd you know?" He asked, sounding very annoyed.

"Of course I knew. I wouldn't mistake the presence of one of my besties!"

"Just fuck off. Well, before that, which power do you want to keep with you to the next world?" He asked, expecting a reaction from me with his arrogant tone.

But, I didn't satisfy him, as I knew something like this would have happened.

It was probably some hidden clause somewhere in our agreement, but it seemed like I could only take one power with me this time due to the deal that I had made.

So, that was why I had told Kanao to do what she did, and I had already "told" my sister something similar.

"Just if you were wondering, you have 3 possible powers that you can take to the next world, your demon physique, your blood demon arts, or your breathing style and forms."

"I'll take the demon physique." I replied a second later, having already chosen my pick before I had even come to this familiar dark space.

"Alright, you got yourself a demon physique to take with you to the next world, are you ready?"

"Yeah I'm ready, although, can I take the body of a depressed guy this time? I'm feeling a little too happy after seeing my "sister" again, and it might affect my judgement."

"Sure, do what you want, just get out of my face."

Smiling, as I had gotten something for free this time just by taking advantage of Rob's impatience and annoyance at me, I readied myself to be thrust into another body once again.

"Well, the transmigration cycle is now ready, in you go." Said Rob, before pushing me out of the death dimension in a manner very similar to that of last time's.

And with that, I was engulfed by darkness once again.
