"Haa, haa, is this it?" Mo Xiaowen muttered, catching his breath from running over. Right now he was standing in front of a shop. It was pristine yet not grand, not big but not small either, and it had no sign on its front.
Due to this Mo Xiaowen wasn't sure if it was the right place, but he calculated exactly a kilometer and this was the best looking shop there. Not to mention the rest of them had signs, none of which were "Treasure Palace".
Entering the shop, there was almost nothing inside, just a simple counter with an old man sitting behind it. "Are you lost?" The old man asked as he locked eyes with Mo Xiaowen. Customers were quite rare here after all.
"Can I sell to Treasure Palace here?" Mo Xiaowen replied, ignoring the question.
"Yes it is."
"Then I am not lost. I was wondering is it possible to sell you Body Tearing Grass?" The boy continued his line of questioning. At least he was in the right place.
"Depends on how much you can sell to us. We only buy the grass if you're selling us over 100 at once. For this we will pay 1000 Silver per 100 grasses, or 10 Silver per grass. This price is non-negotiable." The old man explained concisely.
'...Considering they sell it at 20 Silver they might as well be scamming me, but how else am I going to sell it.' Mo Xiaowen thought to himself. Unfortunately his options were limited, but he also looked on the bright side. While he would be sacrificing some profits, 10 Silver was better than no Silver.
"Okay then, thank you for the information." Mo Xiaowen replied before leaving the shop. Seeing this the old man merely sneered. 'These kids come all the time thinking they can sell a grass of two, how foolish of them.'
Mo Xiaowen then went to a different shop and bought himself a large bag. 'This will be good enough to transport the grasses and anything else I might need to sell.' He thought to himself before continuing to walk around Merchant's Street.
Unfortunately he couldn't find anything that could push along his progress. So he decided to head to Sea Glass City's Library. For the somewhat high price of 5 Silver, Mo Xiaowen was allowed to stay in the library for the rest of the day.
Compared to the Demonic Cliff Sect's library it was much more grand, and full of books. But going through them Mo Xiaowen was quite disappointed. 'Most of these books are useless, they're not even odd, they're just literally useless.'
Some books talked about the most basic training method of running around with weights, while others were literal speculation. What made the speculation worse was it was from mortals, people who hadn't even reached the 1st Stage of Body Tempering.
'What a dead end, I was too harsh on the Demonic Cliff Sect.' He sighed before continuing to read the drivel in his hands. Regardless he pushed himself to read as much books as he could, just in case there was something of worth.
Unfortunately just as not all that glitters is gold, not all that is odd or nonsensical have some deep and profound meaning. Some times its simply that, odd and nonsensical.
'I should start heading back, what a waste of 5 Silver.' Mo Xiaowen shook his head before leaving the library. Thinking about it more, he realised how stupid it would be for the library to contain actual cultivation books.
The library was owned by the Kingdom, therefore any and all useful books would be kept in the Royal Academy, not the public library. As soon as this clicked in his head Mo Xiaowen could barely stop himself from face palming.
'Whatever, my first trip to Sea Glass City has more or less been fruitful. If I ramp up my production of Body Tearing Grass, I can easily make 100s of Gold a month.' He thought excitedly arriving at the construction site once again.
"Finally you're here." One of the workers called out upon noticing Mo Xiaowen. "This dullard finished his work about 10 minutes ago and then fell straight to sleep." The worker continued pointing towards Old Ox who was fast asleep.
"Understood, did you already give him the payment?" Mo Xiaowen asked to confirm on behalf of his sleeping friend.
"Ah, we almost forgot. I'll call the leader and get you your money." The worker replied slapping himself on the forehead.
A few minutes later the worker came back with a small pouch. "This should be it, I hope to see you two tomorrow." The worker said handing Mo Xiaowen the pouch. He then headed back to the inner section of the construction site.
Hearing this Mo Xiaowen was pleasantly surprised. 'So is this a daily mission? Doesn't that mean I can come here everyday?' He thought before picking up Old Ox, and making his way to retrieve Black Flash. They then left Sea Glass City atop Black Flash.
"Clink! Clank!"
The coins within the pouch hit against one another. 'I wonder how much he made...No I shouldn't look, its his money.' Mo Xiaowen was conflicted. On one hand, he should keep his integrity as a man, on the other his curiosity was eating away at him.
'Screw it, I won't look, my integrity is more important than seeing how much he made. I can just ask him tomorrow. Either way I am going to be making a lot of money with my Body Tearing Grass.' Coming to a decision, Mo Xiaowen then focused on the road ahead.
There was an hour until sunset, and they were about 20 minutes from the Sect. He was hoping to train his punches a bit before heading to bed.
"This outing was fun, I am surprised I didn't run into any rampant young masters "I once again Reincarnated as the God King" made it sound like they were everywhere. Then again all those young masters are probably in the Royal Academy."
Some time later they arrived at the Sect. He took Black Flash back to the stables, and ended up carrying Old Ox all the way to his residence. Luckily the Stable Manager knew where he lived otherwise Mo Xiaowen would've been completely lost.
Using Old Ox's key he kept on himself, Mo Xiaowen opened up his residence and dumped him on his bed. The boy then tossed the key onto him before leaving the residence and shutting the door. Now he understood why many chose not to team up with him.
