Dirty cops 2

Time never waits a man.

By the time Bryan and his love got down from the roof, it was too late.

Miss Old Gindi was crying out loud, calling her sister, "Bai Songyi!" Bryan didn't know who Bai was but the name shook Mae. The couple now hid on the stairs, a distance safe from notice as they listened keenly.

"Bai...I'm sorry I wasn't there for you." Old miss Gindi lamented. The door was half closed as they moved closer to peek. This was creepy as they knew it was not the right time to nose around.

Inspector Joe, tied on to a wooden chair was the first person visible from the stair.

"Why is Inspector tied up?" Mae whispered to Bryan who shrugged his shoulders as he moved down stair, a bit closer as he listened.

"Why did you force Katumo into killing her!" Miss Old Gindi suddenly turned back to Inspector Joe with a trembling hand, gun loaded.

"Please, Miss Old Gindi. I didn't do anything like that." Joe Ken knew that in here no one was going to save him, even Jane had took a step back, no one spoke.

"Give me a reason why I should let you live." Miss Old Gindi asked Joe who was trying to shrink himself out of the bondage.

"I never expected he would just shoot his son." Inspector confessed.

"Have you never known!" The furious, weeping old mama said mockingly. "Bai was pregnant before Katumo married her."

Mae heard everything from the stair.

She too was confused from the news. The guards were getting out of the room now after being ordered to. Now Bryan squatted next to Mae as they both listened attentively, the guards already near the door, heading out.

The joints started connecting as Bryan too understood who this Bai Songyi was.

"Jake is not your blood bro?" Bryan asked Mae.

"How would I have known." She said as she listened gesturing him to remain quite.

"Bryan, did you hear that?" Mae asked Bryan who was now lost in though. 'Jake is not Mae's brother?'

"Babe, did you hear that?" Mae knocked him using her elbow as he shook his head. "No, I didn't."

The story was now begetting interesting as Joe was set free under warnings not to think of anything stupid. "I have no issue with you. But I'm greatly disappointed in you." Miss Old Gindi told the Inspector.

"I knew Jake was not his real biological son." Joe Ken said forgetting he was still a hostage.

"It did be best if you shut your beak." Mrs. Yumaa chipped in advising Inspector Joe Ken. "Ok." He just replied as Hao Ge stood up to comfort Miss Old Gindi.

The reason why Bai Songyi had lived comfortably with Katumo for over sixteen years was simply because of love, though Bai belonged to the Yesha clan, same clan as the Ge, no one would have known that she had also lived peacefully with Katumo for the sake of her son.

Miss Old Gindi wanted to say this out loud for everyone, but decided against it.

"Please sit down," she said pointing at Joe Ken who was standing, fearing to make a simple stupid move.

"Mrs. Yumaa. Can you please serve tea?"

"Yes Missus"

Mrs. Yumaa left the room immediately heading to the kitchen.

"Hey whose there?" She suddenly asked as her gaze ran from the top floor to the ground flour. Mae froze over Bryan who simply announced his presence in a whisper.

"Hey! It's me!" Bryan almost shouted the whisper as Jane went back and locked the door properly, cutting them off from the meeting being held.

"What are you doing here?" Mrs. Yumaa asked in a worried face.

"We couldn't rest." Bryan simply said as Jane sighed.

"Get back upstairs. It's not safe here now." She insisted. But the couple won't hinder as they showed their own stubbornness.

Bryan after knowing that Jake isn't part of Katumo family but Ge family, wanted to know more so did Mae.

"We not leaving." Bryan said. This was the first time he did refuse to obey her.

"I'm sending you back upstairs!" Mrs. Yumaa tried to push them away now. She knew this won't be good for either if they were spotted eavesdropping. She was just helping them avoid punishment.

"Please Bryan. Just go back upstairs. I promise I will tell you everything you want to know."

Bryan thought over, he believed her but right now, he wanted to listen from his grandma. Something told him he should stay.

Mae was reluctant too, she would follow Bryan to where he went, his decision was hers, now he wanted to stay and listen, so did she.

"Ok. As you want. I'm not going to beg for her to forgive you." Mrs. Yumaa tried sounding terrific as she left them be.

They didn't speak back at her as they were now in a dilemma. Should we retreat and await the morning or should we learn the truth now.

Of course they went with the last option, lets sit here and nose around abit.

Mrs. Yumaa ignored them as she saw them now crouching near the door. She was always like this, not a person to keep pushing someone into something, she left them be.

"Joe, why don't you relax?" Miss Old Gindi asked him as tea came in.

Mrs. Yumaa served them all but Berick declined the welcome. "I don't do tea, I'm sorry."

"Mrs. Yumaa, bring him whisky." Miss Old Gindi sent her maid once again to the fridge.

"You don't do tea too?" Miss Old Gindi stared at Joe before asking.

"Yes, I don't too!" Hao answered instead.

"I know." Old miss Gindi replied. "So Jane, let's enjoy our tea." Old miss Gindi turned to Jane but she too just stared at the cup. "I prefer alcohol over caffeine."

"Don't tell me you all drunkards! No wonder only Miss Yumaa has a proper head." Miss Old Gindi now ignored them as Mrs. Yumaa walked in later.

"Please have some tea, it's getting cold." Miss Old Gindi welcomed her maid.

"I'm sorry missus, but today I want to take some alcoholic."

"Huh." That was all Miss Old Gindi could say as she enjoyed her tea alone amidst drunkards.

No more important news came from the room as Bryan got bored listening to nothing.

"I'm going to ask her myself." Mae suddenly said as she stood up to leave. Bryan knew his grand ma hated being disturbed so he tried pulling Mae back but she slipped off his hand and crashed through the door.

"What is it!" Miss Old Gindi immediately asked as she strolled towards the door. "Bryan!"

Bryan felt his stomach turl, Mae, you spoiled everything.

"Yes nanny." He answered the call as he saw a pair of strong legs stand infront of him, he slowly lifted his head but regretted just immediately.

'Slap.'

The sound buzzed in his head as he saw stars twinkle in his mind for a minute.

"How many tines have I told you, never repeat this again!" Miss Old Gindi was furious. Bryan was her grandson but he had to behave.

"Get up now." She commanded them as she went back to her seat. She had overreacted forgetting to keep an eye on her two hostages.

"Hao, please drink responsibly." Miss old Gindi reminded her young relative who was now drinking from the bottle.

"Ah..old auntie. There is enough drinks to last a year!" Hao Ge ignored her as he drank, now pacing round the room as he made his way out.

"I got to sleep, I'm so tired." He yawned as his drunkenness peaked. This was why she didn't want them to drink. She didn't notice Jane was not taking any whisky, she just kept sipping, little by little, killing time. As for Joe, he didn't even dare touch the glass, only Berick enjoyed the drink.

"I need to use the toilet." Jane suddenly said as she stood to leave.

"Get your ass back there!" Mrs. Yumaa immediately shouted back, she was drinking too but not that much.

"I'm going to the toilet." Jane said again with rudeness. Miss Old Gindi noticed this as she pulled out her gun a second late.

"Try and I swear, I will shoot her dead!" Jane who had a small pistol hidden well had already aimed her target.

One the couch, Inspector Joe Ken smiled for the first time he arrived.

"Jane what are you doing?" Miss Old Gindi asked as Berick swaggered towards her.

"I told you I will kill you if you do something stupid. Didn't I?"The guards had left earlier, Berick seemed to be drunk while Mrs. Yumaa could not make a stupid move or else Mae dies.

"What do you want?" Miss Old Gindi asked for the last time as she regretted having spared her.

"I need the money Katumo had stolen." Jane said as she stole a glance at Joe Ken who immediately understood what it meant.

"I don't know what you talking about!" Miss Old Gindi acted calm but Jane laughed hysterically leaping onto Mae.

Bryan stared at all this as he couldn't understand what he should do. He knew the only person drunk in here was Hao Ge or Berick. The rest were sober. Jane was unpredictable, her motive unknown.

"Berick! Stay away or you regret.!" Jane warned Berick who was now approaching swaggering ignoring her threat.

Bryan could heard Mae's breathing becoming difficult as Jane strangled her. He had to act. He was too near to watch the death of his love. A sudden outburst of energy suddenly sent him flying over as he knocked Jane over sprawling with her over the floor. It was at this moment Inspector Joe abruptly shot out, sending the gun in Mrs. Yumaa's hand in the air as he delivered a kick on her head, he used martial arts!

"Don't mess with my family!" Hao Ge who had not yet left came back in. Miss Old Gindi couldn't get a proper aim since Joe was behind Mrs. Yumaa.

"It's been long, i need to exercise my drunken fist!" Hao Ge pushed back miss old Gindi as the guards rushed in.
