The case of abduction leads to the Highlands.

It took them less than an hour to drive along the deserted road to Ithanga Health Centre.

"Did you pack some fruits?" Old Miss Gindi asked her maid, Mrs Yumaa who stepped on the brake just outside the entrance to the health facility.

"Yeah, I did pack some beforehand." Her reply made Old Miss Gindi smile as Abi pulled up her lips. 'This family is blessed.'

"Shouldn't you let me?" Mrs Yumaa opened the door for them to get out.

"Thank you so much." Abi recognized her gentleness.

"Welcome. Please lead the way." Mrs Yumaa locked the van as she turned on the anti-theft mechanism set on the vehicle.

"Yea. Please lead." Old Miss Gindi who had just been watching, waiting for everyone alighted, agreed to Mrs Yumaa's suggestion. Well, it was good, Abi led the way through the reception down to the women's ward.

"This my mother." She introduced them to the thin, weak woman on the bed. She did look familiar to Bryan, "Hello mother." Bryan was second to Abi as he shook the skeletonic hand.

"Hello, young boy." Abi's mother greeted back. Her stare was cold, something about her eris colour, like flames, sent his back in fear.

At this moment Old Miss Gindi and her maid had already got the meal for breakfast out of the bag.

"Abi. Let her have some for breakfast." Old Miss Gindi passed over a cup of porridge as she said so.

"Make sure she eats all the porridge, then feed her some of the fruits." Everyone sat waiting, no one bothering with the steamy soup as Old Miss Gindi tried making friends with the sick mama.

"Mom. Please eat more." Abi held a spoon in her right hand as she fed her mother.

"I'm full. Thanks, my little angel." Her voice was low but audible. Something about this made Bryan feel uneasy.

'Where did I meet this woman?' He thought it over and over but still could not get to remember anything about it.

"Abi? I'm going out for fresh hair please." Bryan excused himself as Mrs Yumaa, who knew this lady not pretty well got in deep get-to-know.

"Grandma, let me look around this time, please." Bryan who saw the warning expression on his grandma's face ignored the situation and walked out.

He walked out, to have some fresher air. Time was running slow this time, he feared the woman out of nothing. 'Something about her...or I knew her before being saved.' He did not have to fear her, she was his in-law already.

His phone vibrated as a beep sounded. He took his phone in hand to read the message. 'It was from his lover, Mae.

Good morning babe. Just woke up, to your messages.

The message was left in this manner for him to reply.

"Hope you are fine." Bryan had to type back as a black billionaire driver sped inside the facility.

"Who is that?!" Bryan exclaimed as he peeked at the driver of the billionaire vehicle.

"Looks like Erick." He moved closer for a better view ignoring his manners.

"It was Erick!" He recognized him at first sight.

His decision now changed yet again as he planned not to go any step nearer.

'Why are Inspector Joe Ken and Detective Jane in the Billionaire Drive too?

He had to run back, to inform his grandma of it.

.

3 hours earlier.

Somewhere near Josika Estate.

This place was now marked as a thug hideout due to the high number of cases reported by citizens.

Erick and his friend were having fun inside one of the houses owned by the Kolagi group.

'Knock'

'Knock'

Some unexpected person turned up at this hour. 'Now who is this!' Erick complained as he requested one of his friends to take a look.

"No visitors. We are ok!" Erick shouts the last part as he minimizes the volume on the radio. He had just answered thinking it was one of the service girls who offered pleasure. He was spoiled He was a mama's boy after all!!!.

'Knock' The knock persisted to the annoying part.

"It's me, Erick."

Erick and his friend smiled as they realized the voice behind the ebony door.

One of them walks up to open the door, and Jane walked in upright.

They were all drunk. Erick sat on his bed with five others dancing with some pretties who never miss on such occasions.

"Hi," Erick said with a smile, he knew why she did come over. 'What do I do?' Erick wondered as Jane walked straight up to him.

"We're here on duty." Jane almost politely told him. She still felt the need to go smooth with him, she loved him despite his ignorance.

"So who did you come along with?" Erick asked as he continued to smile. His gaze looked around, trying to spot the partner.

"Are you trying to look out for me?" It was Inspector Joe Ken. He walked inside the unlocked room as the whores scrambled to escape, leaving Erick all alone.

"Did they leave you all alone?" Joe Ken humiliated him, I need some answers now!" Inspector Joe Ken was not going to waste any more time, last time he did, but not now.

After half, an hour sweat could be seen forming on Erick's forehead. His confident voice now quivered and his fingers seemed to tremble.

He was on fire.!

Inspector Joe Ken was making hell on earth for this boy.

"You have to explain.!" He thundered stooping over the now coward Erick.

"I know nothing about it I swear." He tried to explain but the inspector was adamant.

"I have never even spoken to him!"

'BOOM!'

"What do you mean by that, well explain this." The room turned beyond comfort as Joe Ken held Erick by his neck lifting him off the chair.

Inspector Joe Ken then took lead as he questioned Erick.

"What were you doing that night? After you got drunk and left after everyone was asleep.!"

His words struck him out of the hell he was. He came back to his senses. What day was it? Oh, it's still December 24 I remember. He slightly closes his eyes as if trying to remember something.

"I don't remember anything, sir."

'SLAP!'

"Who do you think you lying to!"

"Answer now boy!" Inspector was angry. He was 100% sure Erick was the head man of the secret Kolagi group. The mastermind. Joe Ken was not going to let him off easily this time. He knew someone was always there to cover up but now the persona mentioned wasn't. He knew Erick's uppers would soon be here, so he turned on his recorder as Erick pronounced the last word that he might regret before his boss came to view just as predicted.

"I decided to visit him at his place. I was drunk but I had no bad intentions. I was just..." Erick couldn't finish as he saw Jane take a seat to sit and listen through his lies.

"Finish your sentence." Inspector Joe Ken slammed his fist on the wall. It had been a long period, and this time he had to uproot all the weeds.

"You better speak!" Jane reminded Erick that she was not in with him.

"I visited him ..." Erick went on to continue his phrase but a slap landed on his face before a gun was quickly pointed at his forehead. "Talk what I need to hear." Inspector Joe Ken didn't have all time.

"I swear, I did nothing, Katumo was obsessed with Abi's beauty, Abi was my best friend's girlfriend, but I needed money so badly, that's how I got myself to draw Abi into Katumo."

"How could you do such a thing to your friend!" Jane couldn't believe Bryan's only friend was the main cause of his ailment.

Ever since that day, Bryan had always avoided socialization, he preferred to hang around only with his love full stop.

"The girls you abducted are hidden back at the highlands, we are aware that Ithanga Health Centre has some connections to you.! Kolagi!!!"

Inspector Joe Ken had decided to end this for once and all.

"I don't kidnap!" Erick tried to save himself but Jane stopped him from speaking anything more.

"We are going to Ithanga Health Centre right now!" Her tone was strong and with a hidden threat.

"We have enough evidence to put you too behind bars, but right now you can help us out by leading us to the den." Inspector Joe Ken offered. "That way, I will lift off some charges."

His deal was better than lacking half a loaf.

"Ok, I will show you where the kidnapped are hidden." Erick had no other option.

"You better not play any game." Inspector Joe Ken said as he cuffed his hand to his.

"I need you out of Jail. That baby needs a father." Inspector Joe Ken added sending Erick into regret. 'I'm going to be no father!'

Bryan was rushed back to the hospital. Old Miss Gindi was just bidding farewell to the sick mama while Abi sat next to Mrs Yumaa talking to their staff.

"Hey Bryan, why are you panting," Mrs Yumaa asked as the rest noticed him too.

"_Inspector Joe Ken is here with Erick!" He almost talked loudly unable to keep down his fear.

"Let them work, we have our businesses." Old Miss Gindi was right, they shouldn't interfere.

"But I saw Erick too! What is going on!" Bryan asked. He knew Erick was not part of the police force, what was he doing hanging out with an inspector?

"Let's get back home first. I will explain all that you don't know." Old Miss Gindi promised as she stood up to leave.

"I'm going to remain behind," Abi said as they stood to left. She had realized her cousins didn't keep an eye on her mother as she thought they would.

"Ok. Take care." Old Miss Gindi bid her as they hurried out of the facility.

"What is going on?!" They all wondered as they neared the exit.

'When did all this happen?'
