Commotion at IHC.

Some ladies don't mind fooling around. An insinuating comment is replied to with a more intimidating comment. But, there are also squaws who will see you to the last penny if you even mention that they look nice. Unfortunately for Thomas Maingi, a Cool guy from East Africa working for Madis Global, the woman he worked with was the latter. Her name was Mary Ann, and she was built just like an angel.

"Please, hurry up. We are getting late." Mary Ann pushed him out of the office. Madis Global was an NGO formed to fight for human rights. Precisely an organisation that sued evil doers and fought for justice.

"I'm right behind you," Thomas yelled as he tried to foot himself into the office.

"Working with you is total shit!" Mary Ann complained. Thomas, a very hardworking guy, had just but one problem, the Secretary, Gris Touson.

Though he was an experienced field manager, he couldn't keep away from the office nowadays, not after the new Secretary was employed.

Sure, Mary Ann was tall and shapely, but where she was busty, Gris was huge. But as a colleague in the world of law, her figure was even all more bizarre.

"Just because someone acts like a prude, doesn't mean they abstain." Mary Ann whispered. She had to get him out of there in time before they get late.

"I don't think there is a man who has ever gone past and won her." Thomas resumes a talk his colleague disliked with a smile showing interest in winning a bet hence getting a chance to see Gris' nudeness.

'Pervert' Mary Ann mocked him silently but of course, he couldn't hear as he had already strode over to greet the secretary.

"Hi." He greets the busty lady who was now turning around to leave the office too.

"Hi to Mr Maingi," she responds cooly with a smile that lets sparkles reflect on her teeth. She hurriedly pushed past him aiming for the door but Thomas quickly blocked her.

"Why do you always avoid me?"

"I do?" Gris asked, in a tone of surprise.

"Every time, you pretend to be busy when I come in." Thomas was a real fool.

'So foolish.' Mary Ann who stood by the door disqualified her workmate from the list of alluring men.

"I wished to have lunch with you, Miss Gris." Gabriel declares as he stands right next to this secretary.

His invitations seems to have knocked her off completely as her face turned pale.

"I'm quite busy, maybe some other day." She turns down his invitation instantly without a second thought. "Just call me Gris, without adding anything to it." She added as she tried to get past him.

"You sure are busy." Thomas pulls her hand over his side mannerlessly as he offered to escort her out of the office. This left Mary Ann at a loss for words. 'For once, you can't even act as a gentleman?'

He had always been rejected multiple times by different women, since his adolescence. 'Why is it that I can't be with the one I truly feel?' Thomas cried inwardly as the secretary slapped his face.

"Let go of my hand! Shame on you!"

But his urge to get this new secretary under his charm grew 10× unresistable.

"Haha. Let's get going. Haha." Mary Ann couldn't hide her laughter, now she did enjoy the drama.

"What are you laughing at!" Thomas grew angry, but it was useless to do so now.

"I will bet 500 kes if you win her." Mary Ann for once engaged herself in a gamble.

"What if I f*ck her too? How much will you place."

"You know what?" Mary Ann turned round to face him.

"What?" Thomas felt a kinda prideness flow over him. This was the first time he did make his workmate look at him soo daring, straight in his eyes.

"You have to bathe regularly and try the slim possible down street. Otherwise, you will never, never win her over." Her voice was low, yet her advice sounded true.

'Didn't I bathe last night?' Thomas wandered. "Who said I don't bathe?"

"Hey! I'm talking to you!" He ran after his colleague who was about to get into the lift.

"I'm not interested in your talks, just pursue her... I'm not going to get myself involved." Mary Ann said as the lift went down.

"Fine! Stay away from my personal life, just like I do to yours!" Thomas sealed the quarrel. He was always a man who didn't pry on others, why did others pry on him?

Getting out of Madis Tower, they drove their way away from the Capital, to the highlands.

Thomas was in no mood to begin a conversation as he began planning his approach strategy. Mary Ann too continued browsing the net for the information she needed to know.

'Why does she always avoid me like that,? Well, I must win her no matter what!' Thomas decreed as he drove on. His mind was so far away, lost in fantasy, thinking of the prude back at Madis Global.

'BOOM'

"What's WRONG!" Mary shouted at Thomas who almost ran over a cat.

"Is just a cat!" Thomas stepped on the brakes missing the creature by just inches.

"Thank God you didn't kill it," Mary exclaimed as the black cat ran over the other side into an alley.

"Next time I won't show mercy, everything should know how to look left and right before crossing the road," Thomas said with a hidden smirk.

"That's not funny at all." Mary Ann once again degraded him to a brainless pie.

"Ahah... I should have run over it, cats have nine hearts, that is a total of nine lives. To the least, it would have just lost one life." Thomas now stepped on the gas as the car slowly started accelerating.

"And what if it had just one life remaining?" Mary Ann asked.

"Then it would be its fault, but not bad too! I would have just helped it get reincarnated sooner than supposed."

"You are so foolish Tom! I wonder how you got a job with Madis Global." Mary Ann turned to her phone again. As she did say, working with Thomas was like working shit.

"Don't you see the company need a fool like me? Just like the world need villains."

"What are you talking about, what have villains got to do... Didn't you hear what I said?" Mary Ann was acting slayish, like miss perfect.

"Without villains, no heroes could be. Madis Global without a fool, no perfectness could be."

"Hahaaa,... Is good you admit you a fool.!" Mary Ann just laughed.

'You the fool here.' Thomas shook his head as they joined the traffic to Thika.

Soon they will be at Ithanga Health Center. (IHC) at the highlands.

When did all this happen?

"Grandma? What happened!" Bryan asked as they surveyed the area, especially the frontal part of this Centre.

"Make a call to Hao Ge. I need to know what happened." Old Miss Gindi ignored Bryan as requested by Mrs Yumaa.

The media was all over the place, and police busy checking the place. IHC was under lockdown.

"Missus? Hao Ge has no clear information." Mrs Yumaa reported back.

"What has he discovered.?"

"He says that IHC has been a Kolagi corporation. And something about the missing girls being hidden in this centre." Mrs Yumaa added nothing more.

"Ok. Bryan, get back to Abi for now! Help her get her mother transferred."

"Ok... "Bryan obediently hurried back to Abi who had also received the news from the screen feed on the wall.

"What do we do?" Abi asked terrified. A patrol unit came into the wards followed by some nurses who checked all patients as the conduct was performed.

"Let's wait and see." Bryan held on to Abi's left hand as they sat next to the sick mama.

"What is happening outside?" Abi's mother noticed the weirdness and asked straight away in a fremble voice.

"It's going to be an ok mum," Abi promised as she called Marcos to inform him of the situation.

"Hey! Young man!" An officer came to the almost empty ward.

"Yes?" Bryan responded immediately as the officer walked up to them.

"What's your name?" His questioned.

"I'm Bryan Gindi." He answered once again foolishly. "Is there a problem?"

The officer ignored him by beckoning the nurse.

"Nurse, is he listed in the visitors' book? His name is Bryan Gindi."

The nurse ran through the list of names, of all the unticked names, Bryan was not among them.

"No sir, his name is not here." The nurse doubled checked to confirm.

"Bryan. You have to join the rest for questioning." The officer looked straight at him.

"Why do I have to? What is wrong?" Bryan asked confused now. He was not afraid since Old Gindi had used her identity to get the four of them into the wards earlier.

"What about you young lady?" The officer asked Abi who replied honestly.

"Her name is listed, she is the patient's daughter." The nurse ticked Abi being a legal visitor.

"Soo, Bryan... Please don't create any trouble now. You are not accused of anything we just have to get a copy of your ID, follow the rest to the counter please." The officer was polite.

"But sire, I need to know why I have to leave a copy of my ID." Bryan persisted.

"All questions will be answered at the counter! Get out Now!" The officer commanded as a yell erupted from the next ward. A bang sounded before the orderly queue in the corridor and patients ran into a panic.

"Everyone remain calm now! This is the highland Police." A loudspeaker was announced but just ended up creating a more nasty hullabaloo.
