Homicidal?

The day after that was unusual. Bryan had long been treated and sent back for home care.

The sky was plain, with nothing more than the bright sun.

"Let him enjoy the sunshine." The voice belonged to Old Miss Gindi, in other words, Su Gindi.

Everyone called her Old Miss Gindi, maybe because of her unnoticeable old age or her long life being a boss lady. Though only a few knew her by her first name, Su, she never expected the person in her room now to know her in full detail!

"Well and fine. You have such a lovely garden, I must admit I've fallen for it." The man who had unexpectedly visited them this early morning said as he let Bryan get out of the house.

"Uhmm," he cleared his throat for once. "Sorry for blocking Bryan's way out. I just wanted to know how he will react." The way she said this made both Mrs Yumaa and Old Miss Gindi think twice.

"And what do you think of him?" Old Miss Gindi asked. To her, this man was somehow unpredictable, like a cat playing around with a mouse just to feed on it later.

"For your knowledge, he reacted just as I expected." They didn't expect him to say so.

He had boasted his way inside the mansion after Mrs Yumaa had welcomed him from the gates. The guards stationed outside the mansion had held on tight to their weapons as this man passed. His aura too was intimidating, yet even giving off a feeling of danger.

"Calm down and be alert." Mrs Yumaa had signalled the guards who followed silently.

"Who are you?" Miss Old Gindi had demanded to know from the door.

"Good morning Su Gindi, my name is Thomas Maingi." The man shook her as he introduced himself. Just by mentioning her first name, she knew this was not just a visitor but an intel, a nerd.

"How may I help you?" She did pretend not to have thought much of it.

"I'm here on behalf of Madis Global..." The man did say.

'Oh! So that's how you did learn my first name!' Old Miss Gindi knew the number of people who knew her by full name, just a list of three persons including Madis Global.

Ten years ago she had sought help from Madis Global. At that time the Gindi saga had gone completely into a mystery, with their roots in China it did been hard and quite expensive to dig out the truth in a short period, something that had caused the case to remain unsolved to date.

"Oh. I see... " Old Miss Gindi nodded her head as she now understood why this man's acts were vague.

"Please have a seat Mr Maingi." She had then welcomed him inside the great mansion.

The guards too had dispatched to their respective position after this, if Thomas was an spt or enemy, he was doomed never to leave the highlands alive!

It had been at this moment that Bryan came down the stairs heading out, he was in a rush but the guy, Thomas Maingi had unexpectedly blocked Bryan's path with his huge body.

"Let him enjoy the sunshine." Old Miss Gindi had had to step back into and show that Bryan was all well.

"Uhmm..." Thomas stepped aside letting him go out.

"Why did you do that?" Old Miss Gindi asked the Madis representative after having seated in the living room.

"You see, we know his condition being one of pity at the moment, but a real schizophrenic wouldn't have reacted as Bryan did some minutes ago." He was confident in whatever he was saying. Right now he looked straight into Old Miss Gindi's eyes, he feared nothing from her.

"What do you mean?" The look on Old Miss Gindi now was one of uncertainty, was the doctor wrong perhaps? It can't be.

"When I suddenly blocked his path he should have bumped into me, but he moved to the left." It was a simple test like that. Thomas wanted to go on and ask for permission to even have some time with Bryan but he held on to wait for Old Miss Gindi to request him to do so.

"I don't understand now. Do you think Bryan is now conscious?" Old Miss Gindi asked.

This morning before Thomas had arrived, they had gone to check on him, Bryan, but he had not responded to any of them.

"To me, I would say Bryan is aware of himself, at most times."

"How do you know that?"

"We have intel. You know us well. Can we just go to what brought me here?" Thomas requested. He knew the woman in the next year won't understand anything straight away.

"No, please tell me what you know about Bryan." Old Miss Gindi was not willing to change the topic, no now. To her this was the most important subject to learn, she wanted to help her grandson, only by learning and understanding his condition would she be able to provide essential help.

"According to the doctor's report, I read Bryan developed an innate ability, one that is driven by a sexual desire to calm his mind, this way he overcomes the effects of his mental illness." Thomas watched Old Miss Gindi's expression, but she didn't flinch nor show a slight sign of surprise. 'Well, maybe she knew I might know that.'

"I'm I right Su Gindi?" Thomas asked.

"Yeah. That's exactly what the doctor said."

"I'm here to talk with Bryan. According to our contracted Doctor whom you have met before, Bryan is at risk of committing crimes."

"Haha haha."

"What?!" Thomas didn't expect Su Gindi to laugh out loud at him.

"Sorry Mister, my bad."

"Why did you laugh?"Thomas felt bad now. She had been listening to him like he was giving out an accounted story.

"Whatever you said, well... Eeer I can't take it. But I will let you meet Bryan." She knew Madis Global was full of fools, and right here, they had dispatched one to her.

"You don't have to believe me at all. I know I'm sounding crazy like I'm explaining stuff I read from a fantasy novel."

Thomas shifted himself on the cushy couch as Mrs Yumaa who had left earlier, to give them privacy came back, with tea.

"I didn't mean to laugh Mr Maingi. Please don't take it seriously."

"I won't." Thomas watched Mrs Yumaa serve tea, he didn't care if they believe him or not now.

"Eeer excuse, you said Madis has a contracted doctor whom I may be acquainted with?" Old Miss Gindi had to ask as she reflected on what he did say earlier.

"Yeah, Dr Mike is a well-known doctor from Europe." Thomas went straight into detail. "After we did discover a weird schedule down at IHC, we dispatched him to work at the centre. That's how we discovered the Kolagi packhouse. Very well... Build under the centre is another huge laboratory! Who would have known."

Something about Madis Global's way of unveiling the truth was goosey. After all these years they did been silently ever investigating The Gindi Saga secretly.

This was bad news to Old Miss Gindi. Some things about The Gindi were never supposed to be known, The Gindi Dynasty held lots of secrets, too much for the world to bear.

"Su Gindi? Are you ok?" Thomas Maingi noticed Old Miss Gindi had drifted for a second.

"Yeah, I'm Ok. You just told me something that I never imagined."

"Please, feel welcomed." Mrs Yumaa said as she left the room.

"Thank you much." Thomas appreciated as he took the tea cup in hand, sipping the hot tea silently. 'This is great!'

"Those are leaves imported from Congo. Very strong narcotic drugs." Old Miss Gindi gave him the answer he just wanted.

"I've never tasted this kind of tea. It's great!" Thomas praised as he took another sip, Old Miss Gindi too drank, with a smile as Thomas now requested to meet Bryan.

"Let's go out. You will meet him in the arbour." Old Miss Gindi said as they both finished taking two cups of the narcotic.

"Wait! Isn't that Bryan?" Thomas Maingi almost shouted pointing at the youth behind Old Miss Gindi, outside the room but looking straight at him from the window. He had a sharp scalpel in his hand, turning it over and over in his hand as he now licked the edge psychotically.

"Where?" Old Miss Gindi turned round to look back, out of the window. Sure there he was, staring at them. But his hands were empty now.

"You can go out through the back door. I will give you some privacy." Old Miss Gindi said as she left the room for Thomas and Bryan.

"Su Gindi. Please accompany me." Thomas suddenly stopped her in her tracks.

"Ok. Follow me." Old Miss Gindi led the Madis representative out and to Bryan.

"Bryan. I brought you a visitor." Old Miss Gindi introduced Thomas to the client who didn't seem to be aware of their presence.

"Mr Maingi, please allow me." The phone she held rang sweetly as she left back to the house closing the door behind her to pick up the call.

"Ah!" Thomas had nothing now to get Su Gindi to remain with him. He looked at the youth staring at him blankly, and for the first time felt the legendary invisible demon eye.

"Hello Bryan, I'm Thomas... I'm here to help you." His voice was weak as he felt something wrong with this schizophrenic youth.

"Don't pick that!" He shouted as Bryan picked up a scalpel hidden under his foot.

"Did you say I can be homicidal?" That was the first sentence he heard from Bryan before he went all out.
