Trusting the detective.

"Didn't I tell him to wait here!" Hao Ge stood outside Malcolm's antique with a look of worry.

It was now an hour and Bryan had not responded nor revealed himself. This was getting scarier. Old miss Gindi had ordered him to take care of Bryan before she returns, but now Bryan too was nowhere to be found.

After several attempts to get him through the phone, Hao Ge gave up eventually and instead made a call to his pal, Berick. He walked along the road nervously and fear shaken as he thought of where Bryan might be.

It had been a long day for both Old Miss Gindi and her companions after getting hand of information about Houston's covert for them.

The Gindi case had been hard to solve, the matter digging deep into politics and chronology. He had to find the heir to Gindi Dynasty before late.

"Hey gay! Why are you calling!" Berick's heavy voice came through the mouthpiece as Hao Ge laid his crisis.

"I will be dead if that boy is in trouble. You got to help me!" Hao Ge pleaded for help.

"You don't have to yell. I didn't say am not helping... Eer did you look at him at Abi's?" Berick suggested as he tried to calm the over-fussed Hao Ge.

"Well... Abi left to work and Bryan was all ane when I summoned him. Am sure he is lost!" Hao Ge had to get Berick inside the box. 'Just what happened to him? Ever since he left for the US he has been acting like a fam!' Hao Ge curse the fact that he was seeking help from Berick.

"Inspector Joe Ken has the tracking software I got from Katumo's." Berick confined as he added something else to it.

"After I arrive tomorrow you will buy me enough drinks for that."

"Is not me you are helping! It's Bryan's life...!" Hao Ge shouted back.

"Yep. I know, but I still owe you!" Berick laughed his heart out.

"What makes you laugh! Pttfh!" Hao Ge spat a thick yellowish froth on the pavement as he decided to make a call to the Inspector instead.

It was getting late and the gloaming dark filled up the suburbs he faced. He knew he couldn't make it to Angel's City and Joe Ken might already have left for his home at Westlands.

So he just hoped that the phone would go through.

*****

An hour later,

Inspector Joe Ken drove his car near Thika Arcade, an hour and a half after Bryan had left that building.

"Thanks for coming Inspector." Hao Ge who had noticed Inspector before came to him from the cafeteria.

"Is my duty to answer." Inspector Joe Ken smiled back despite the mood. "How long has he been missing?" Joe Ken questioned as they got in the car to use the tracking system installed on his laptop.

"Bout two hours ago sir." Hao Ge answered uneasily as he checked the time. He wished he could make everything run under his command, or have powers similar to doctor strange and reverse the time back and amend all this to perfection.

"Got it!" Inspector Joe Ken lifted the laptop to show Hao Ge the ticking red dot on the screen.

"That's way far from here." Hao Ge pulled on a disgruntled face as he realized the location and distance from Thika.

"Don't mind about that. We should head there at once let me notify Jane." Hao Ge listen to that sentence and almost freaked.

"Jane!?"

"Yeah. She is my teammate, I trust her." Inspector Joe Ken didn't show any sign of unsureness as he went ahead to make the call.

"No! Don't!" Hao Ge pulled out his gun ready to shoot if Inspector said a word to Jane.

"What the matter Hao?" Inspector Joe Ken tensed as he saw the nozzle pointed at his left eye.

"I promise I will shoot if you tell that bitch a word." Hao Ge believed that Jane was behind all this mess. She was the one who also induced the death of the former Governor's wife, Bai Songyi, sending his Employer Miss Gindi mad.

"How easily do you forget?!" Hao Ge raged at the Inspector. "Or have you two been working together to eliminate the Gindi too?"

The situation had heated up. Hao Ge was not going to trust Jane even for a fraction of a second.

"Listen up Hao. Put the gun away and listen!" Inspector Joe Ken got over the shock and commanded.

"Jane has never worked for the Kolagi. She lost her sister after Katumo's kidnapping sag." His hand were up as he surrender to Hao Ge. "You can count me responsible for anything that happens."

Inspector Joe Ken asserted Hao Ge of Bryan's safety, after Jane's support from the police base.

"Jane and the Group are no longer related, she has been working undercover for Angel police force for three years now. Thanks to her we have arrested and finally put Kolagi to rest."

"I don't take that as a reason to trust her! She is damn pregnant for a terrorist!" Hao Ge raged. "She is the same woman who was after Mae's life!"

"Hao, believe me, that had all been part of our plan, mine and Jane's to get to the core of Kolagi." Inspector Joe Ken admitted having worked with Jane and pretending to be against her.

"Is this true?" Hao Ge relaxed a bit as he pulled his weapon away to stare at Inspector Joe Ken.

"Berick is also part of the Angel Police, we let him work for the Governor after agreeing with Madis Global to work together in cracking the Gindi case."

At this moment Hao Ge was confused.

All this while these guys had worked concurrently, intimately and ludicrously to crack the Gindi case?

"How am I supposed to take that?" Hao Ge was not going to accept this. They had fooled everyone.

"What about Thomas Maingi?" Hao Ge asked as he remembered the guy from Madis who had struggled with Bryan back at the highlands.

"Thomas? That fatty guy?" Inspector Joe Ken ratified the fact.

"He sure is the one representing the case at court."

"After he left, Old Miss Gindi has been leaving for the capital all through, can you tell me what exactly is going on because Mrs Yumaa and Old Gindi are elusive!" Hao Ge demanded now.

"Let's save Bryan first. I will tell you everything on the way." Inspector Joe Ken valued precious time and he was not going to waste it with this dude. What if these are the pick-up lines he uses on men?

"Let me let Jane handle the case before we get there! She is nearer than we are!" Inspector Joe Ken made the call arrogantly as Hao Ge kept swearing that it won't end well if Jane tries to do something else.

*****

Joe Ken enlightened from the mini aircraft Jane had organised for him from the national police federal. With him was Hao Ge who was more than ready for action.

"So Jane can get an aircraft so easily?" Hao Ge beamed as he saw the force already in action surrounding a house built just near the coast.

"This house here is also presumed property owned by Gindi." Inspector Joe Ken spoke softly as a lady emerged from the dimness shouting for help.

"Hurry. Help her!" Hao Ge sprinted after Inspector Joe toward the lady whose attire was stained in red, blood.

"What happened!"They both shouted as the lady handed over the man.

" Bryan!" Inspector Joe Ken didn't believe it at first. He was extremely faded to the extent he resembled a ghost.

"Inspector Joe..." Bryan breathed before collapsing In his embrace.

"Who are you, lady?" Inspector asked the woman who had rescued Bryan.

"I'm Gris. Madis Global chief secretary." The woman introduced herself as Inspector Joe Ken commanded his men to get them to the aircraft.

"Hao. You have to be left, the craft can only accommodate four people." Inspector Joe Ken stopped The dude who wanted to accompany them.

"Is my duty to protect the heir!" Hao Ge cried out.

"There is no room. I will take care of him." Inspector shouted back as the aircraft ignited.

"You can trust us."

A familiar feminine voice sounded near him.

"You?" Hao Ge saw the detective, Jane now smiling at Inspector Joe Ken who waved back as the aircraft hovered.

"I don't trust you! Neither him!" Hao Ge cursed back as Detective Jane handed over her criminal to him.

"I bet Joe Ken has revealed our identity." Jane smiled as Harrison who had been handcuffed fell head-first in front of Hao Ge.

"I swear I will get my revenge!" Harrison yelled back.

"The guy poisoned the Houstons, we will have to present him to the court for murder and treason."

Hao Ge had not done much work before the site was cleared. A bomb was deactivated and the bodies of Gabriel and Jos were brought to the morgue.

"Hao Ge. Trust me, I'm a good detective." Jane patted Hao's shoulder as he got in a car to leave for the hospital where Bryan was being regaled.

"How many times do you tell people to trust you! Pttfh.!" Hao Ge almost spat on her as he got in the car.

"You sure are gay!" Jane mocked the pink-haired dude who drove madly out of the site.

It was minutes to six Thursday sunrise.
