Going through together.

Bryan walked his way to the station, for the bus back to the highlands.

"Bryan?" Abi called his name softly as she followed behind him and took the seat next to him leaving Mae no choice but to stand by the side.

"Are you not going to speak with me?" Abi persisted. She looked up at the teenage girl and back at Bryan, 'I decided to share you with a teen yet you still don't trust me!'

Abi was not more worried, but a bit angry at her lover. After all, she had done all she could to win back his trust yet Bryan didn't have anything to say to her.

"Bryan?" Abi did call his name now for the last time.

"I'm not in the mood. I just need some rest and privacy." Bryan spoke coldly, not even giving anyone an eye. He knew what he felt inside him, he was all but broken and confused, the death of Old Miss Gindi had just been unexpected.

"Babe? I'm sorry for the loss." Mae tried to console Bryan from her point.

"Thanks, Sweetheart," Bryan replied as tears again formed and his heart couldn't bare the weight anymore. He broke down to tears on the highland, with his two girls too, weeping alongside now.

"Where is Hao Ge?"

Later, after having got to the huge mansion back in the highlands, Bryan asked.

"Did Hao Ge just leave?" His question at the moment was easy to answer but hard to reply to.

"He rushed to the capital, he said he will be back before night," Abi informed Bryan as Mae nodded in confirmation.

"Ok." That was all Bryan said as he walked up to his room on a weak and delicate heart.

"Mae?" Abi called out as she realised Mae was comprehending following Bryan upstairs.

"What?"

"Give him some time alone." Abi aired out as she closed the door.

Some hours ago she had learnt that Bryan had preferred Maeia over her. "Can we talk over something?" She added as she walked up to Mae.

"Yeah." Mae accepted without a second thought.

"Well. It's about Bryan. Ever like at this time, we shouldn't disturb him as he meditates. He's gone through a lot "

"Is not like I was going to disturb him! I'm also not feeling any good! I want to accompany him everywhere in his life!" Mae protested as Abi who had taken her hand in hers pulled her towards the kitchen.

"Abi! Just leave it be!" Mae almost screamed out now as Abi's temper soared.

"Every time is Mae Mae Mae! Even at this moment, he won't give an ear to me! Mae why?" Abi shattered. Sure it did be a hard time for all. Yet none wanted to lose the other.

Something had to be done. The person after The Gindi had to be hunted before Bryan lost his life too. Mae shook in fear as a guard, one who had been guarding the gate as they came in opened the door using the spare keys.

"Sorry my... " The guard stopped his apology mid-sentence as he noticed the two girls sobbing by the kitchen door.

"Little Miss." He directed the title to Mae, not Abi but the latter responded before Mae could clear her throat.

"What?"Abi was quite rude. After Miss Old Gindi's silence for a month, Abi had lived with Bryan in this mansion for more than three weeks, something that had made her bossy over everything.

"The man from last time is back." The guard ignored Abi's tone and instead reported to them.

"No visitors. Tell him not today, Bryan is not around." Abi was unsure of what to say but her wish was clear, no one was allowed from outside.

"Yea, I already told him to leave but he insisted that he had to meet Bryan today." The guard insisted.

"Then let him in," Mae concluded as Abi rejected it.

"No, you shouldn't let anyone in. This not the right time for visitors." Abi was just being careful with these strange persons at odd times.

"Let him in." Finally, Bryan who has stopped by the stairs and listened to the three gave the final authorization

"Ok, sir." The guard saluted as he rushed back to his post.

"Let me talk with the man." Bryan saw from the window the man outside being escorted towards the house requested.

"Take care." They both said as they left for the upstairs.

Sure Bryan had won a pair of doves, it was up to him to choose the one for his eternity. But the two girls won't let go of him, regardless of the situation, they had each promised to stick to him for life.

"Hello, Mr Gindi." The man who walked in was no other but the fat Thomas Maingi from Madis Global.

"Please have a seat mister." Bryan welcomed the man in. He still thought back to the day when this rep came by and talked badly of him. 'What made you think I can be homicidal?'

Bryan looked at his visitor who sat at a safe distance away, probably cautious least Bryan uses his scalpel.

"I've got the news bout your grandma and I did like to ask some questions about the day she left... " Thoma always talked straight to the point.

"The day she left the Highlands is the same day you were kidnapped," Thomas had all information, "I need to know anything that she may have told you the day she left."

This was so much of a question.

"What exactly, that day I got home and they had left even without leaving a notice!" Bryan honestly replied.

"Do you know of anyone who might have called her during the day? Just anything that can give us a lead?" At this juncture, everything about this family had turned into a paradox.

"Later in the day, you will be the official head of everything your parents owned. The lawyer will be here to let you sign some papers." Thomas talked politely, "Don't you understand? Being the sole inheritor will make you the next target."

"I want the person to come for me, I'm tired of hiding under guards' wings." Bryan talked with anger, he still hadn't gotten over the pain of losing old Miss Gindi.

Thomas had nothing to collect from Bryan and after an hour of talk, he excused himself.

"I will leave now, don't go out of your house at night or to the street. It would be better if you remain here for the time." Thomas advised as he got up to leave.

"Thanks for the advice." Bryan appreciated as he walked Thomas out.

"See you next time Thomas." Bryan bid the Madis Rep as the guard let him out of the huge gates.

'You think am just going to sit here?' Bryan grinned at the now empty front. Sure, he was not the man to just sit and watch, this time he had to act.

*****

Hao Ge drove safely to the Ge manor. He had bad feelings toward Prince Ge, his older brother.

"Hi aunty, is Prince here?" Hao Ge asked the first person she saw as he drove into the compound.

"Hello, Hao. "His aunty waved back. " The prince left early this morning."

'He left!' Hao Ge screamed inwardly.

"Did he say where to, when he be coming back?" He had a lot to inquire about at the minute. This issue had to be fixed once and for all.

"I'm going back, let him know I was here." Hao Ge had no time to sit and have dinner at home. He had vowed to protect Bryan for as long as he breathed. He was a martial artist and his master taught him well to protect the truth and innocent.

"Are you not coming back?" Aunty Ge asked as Hao drove his back for the rear.

"I might not come back soon," Hao replied as he drove back out of the vast Ge manor.

"May Buddha watch over you my son." Aunt Ge prayed as he took off.

"Mae?" Bryan called out to her as he saw her back on the stairs.

He felt sorry for her, she had left the states for him, and now he feared he might not give her a bright future.

"Babe? I'm going to leave for the capital this afternoon." He informed her.

Her face was full of sadness. She too was grieving over the situation. "All going to be ok. It's life."

The two hugged each other there on the stairs as Abi who had gone to the room came back and saw them there.

Her heart fell heavy for the first time after she did decide to share him.

"Are you leaving?" Abi stood by the railing up the stair looking over them.

"Yes. I'm leaving." Bryan confirmed. He knew he should also take Abi in his arms too but at the moment Mae won't let go of him. She clung to him tight, drenching his shirt in tears as she buried her face in it.

"When you be coming back?" Abi worriedly asked.

"I don't know. I have to look into this myself. I want to avenge my parents!" Bryan cried out.

Everyone remained silent as Mae started crying. She was being soo childish. "Please don't leave me... Babe I don't want to leave you."

"I will come back for you. You will stay with aunt Xie Yu for the time being... Ok, hunnie?" Bryan soothed her but Mae had closed her ode.

"I'm not leaving you."

"I won't leave you too..." Abi from the stairs declared too as she too came down and added herself to him. Swinging by his side.
