Third Realm Domain Spell

Even with a torrent of world energy surging through his veins, Cain could feel his body burning with an itching exhaustion. His limbs ached, and his lungs struggled to draw breath; still, a determined light shone in his eyes. He refused to collapse.

The truth was that forcing an immediate 31 Revolutions Refinement on himself had been a desperate move, and he knew its costs. That was the strongest Revolution Flame he could invoke, and once its healing effects subsided, he would have no further means of repairing his body or replenishing his soul force in the short term.

Under normal circumstances, he might have used a weaker version—perhaps 30 Revolutions—to keep the 31st to heal after all this was over. However, the damage he had suffered was so extensive, and the drain on both his life force and soul force so severe that a weaker technique would have been futile. From Cain's perspective, it was all or nothing.
