Classroom Musings

Ash

Ash was getting ready to slap himself. Once more, he was sitting in the back of the lecture hall, firmly planted next to Kai. The third time he caught himself glaring at someone who had glanced in their direction, he knew he needed a good slap. He wasn’t intentionally glaring at their peers, but their eyes kept reminding him of how much he was getting lost in thought, usually while staring at Kai no less.

The boy, or really the young man sitting next to him had quite thoroughly managed to capture Ash’s wandering mind. There was just something so alluring about him that drew Ash in, and he was starting to realize it was more than just Ash’s curiosity. He was starting to realize that Kai was much more than just an academic rival or an enigma of a peer. He was captivating in the most persistent of ways.
