Son of Vengeance

The ship had been a bit too old for the voyage, but it had been cheap. Every trip it took was dangerous and a high risk. But every trip it made brought money so they kept sending it, again and again, then finally one trip was the big storm, with high wind, blasting rain, and for hours the crew tried to save the ship, but finally it was no use and they fled.

It slowly tilted over and tons of the cargo slid out and into the ocean, boxes and crates that washed ashore in different places, and soon enough the mysterious ship was just another forgotten legend and the junk that washed ashore was trash that scavengers picked through, such as little Mexican kids who looked for anything interesting, shiny, fun to play with.

Renate DiGorno was one of them, just another little girl who roamed through a new pile of junk every day, till she found it, under a pile of slop and weeds, with fancy old fittings, tired looking wood, but oh so cool and beautiful.
