On a quiet loop of country road in the middle of nowhere sits the town of Mannington, with it's one town sheriff and it's groves of trees, old cemetery and quiet countrified people.

But unseen to most is the real town that sits underneath, a town filled with people with dark secrets, serial killers and lawlessness.  Then one day when a lonely old woman is removed from her house by a corrupt minister something invades the town, something unseen, unstoppable with a hunger for people with dark secrets.

Guilty of terrible crimes himself, Sheriff Clyde grows more and more afraid as victims keep turning up.  Trying to keep his own secrets hidden while searching for answers, sheriff Dinkle lives in constant fear that it will come for him, like the others, not killed by human hands but by something that can be anywhere, something that can raise the dead, something lurking, waiting, and striking night and day, something that wont stop as long as there are people with dark secrets...…….something that lives....in the trees.

T.W.O.G. was an amazing place, easily the nicest looking building in that section of Mannington, and well it should have been. Ed had it hooked up to his bank account which was where all offering money or whatnot went. He had the biggest office. A new security system had been put in place since a bit of vandalism had transpired and the bad guys were going to get caught without question next time.
