Finding The Right Dress

Eye twitching, she tried to ignore the stares of the people around her as she tried to keep up with Rosalyn. She'd like to ask herself how did it happen, but she knew far too well. Next to her was Nyx, Rosalyn, and the guard with Isaac carrying her in his arms. He suddenly returned overnight from his trip and had caught up on everything, insisting on coming along.

She suspected Nyx had something to do with it. As soon as she woke up Isaac was there informing her he had went over to meet Rosalyn and discussed with her about the tea party she'd be attending, insisting he would go as well. He even ate breakfast with her, together, for the first time in ages. Just how quickly did Nyx work?

Arms wrapped around Isaac's neck, she was taken into the boutique early morning that was Rosalyn's recommendation. One of the greatest designers she could find she hired in her territory, if there was anyone who could make a great outfit, it'd be "that person".

Inside the boutique was beautiful, she had to admit. Custom dresses all from children's to young adults with the prettiest of jewels and designs, of course the talent her sister had found would create only the best of the best. A bit further back she could even see things such as pants that she oh so desperately wanted to have if they came in her size. It'd be so much easier to take care of the beasts.

She couldn't help but be in awe at the place as a woman came out nervously and begun thanking her sister. She looked quite pretty from what she thought this mysterious person would be like. She expected something gaudy but instead was a woman well dressed in a simple dress and her white hair in a messy bun, green eyes and the faintest of eyebags.

"Lady Rosalyn! Thank you for coming in person, I really wouldn't of mind going to the estate on short notice." She laughed, trying to ignore the tiger held back by a thin leash Isaac held in his free hand. Anywhere she went Theron had to follow.

As they exchanged manners, he growled slightly as she nearly jumped back but maintained her composure. "I'm so happy to be able to work for Lady Theia, she's quite adorable!" She hummed, helping them into an area with comfortable seating. Right in the center of the room were lines of dresses that seemed to fit her size, and one that was being worked on at the moment.

She couldn't spot any staff, this woman was doing everything by herself, she needed a raise even if she were the owner. "I managed to find some dresses in the lady's size for now, and I've just finished this one this morning, that one's a work in progress…" she rambled on.

As Rosalyn discussed in details what she wanted for the tea parties, the three stood in silence as they couldn't understand a word of what was happening, only for her to be taken away as they sat, changing into the designs displayed earlier for them to see.

She didn't like the process one bit of having this strange woman help change her and fit her into the dresses, but she had to admit it that seeing her reflection did feel great. Bright jewel silver eyes, long hair, and a cute face! All for the price of death awaiting a bad future. What a snag.

Wearing a high neck, off the shoulder, frilly pastel green dress with a cute ribbon in front and sheer sleeves, she admired the ruffled neck and adorable white stockings, and gave a twirl, only to give the woman a thumbs up at her hard work before coming back out front to show everyone.

She tried walking out elegantly like Rosalyn had instructed the day prior while going through her closet, even giving a small curtesy at the end as she flashed a signature Argyris smile. A smile that was known by each family member to be fake and not something you were happy about, but realistic enough to the common man.

"How does my Lady Theia look?" The woman behind the design asked. Immediately Nyx nodded and gave a thumbs up to the dress.. however the other replies weren't as great. "Four out of ten," the guard said, shaking his head. Humming Rosalyn agreed. "The shade of green doesn't go with her hair or her eyes, this screams cute type instead of elegant, also far too plain."

Joining in Isaac acted as though he were a fashion expert. "I'd like to see her in something white or gold, stay away from darker colors. The dress doesn't have to be elegant but it can't be plain. The price doesn't matter, just find something." Where on earth did all this come from?

Returning to the dressing room she knew she was in for a long ride. Pausing for a second, Isaac added something in. "Actually, I'd like to see a dress that matches her ring." Gazing down at her hand she remembered that she was given a ring by Isaac quite awhile back, resizing it every few months when she grew as it was a safety precaution. If she were ever in public she'd just need to show the crest to state that she was indeed a child of the Argyris family.

A blue tanzanite, this woman was in for a tall order. He wanted to see her in brighter colors then immediately changed his mind, now he wanted a white, gold, and midnight blue dress. Just where on earth would she get that?

It surprised her that she did indeed have a dress in white and gold but light blue instead of dark blue. It wasn't too intricate but had multiple ribbons at the front to the waistline, along with multiple layers of frills at the bottom with even more ribbons at the bottom. The sleeves were nice and long but she just didn't feel like this was it despite looking good in it.

Immediately upon entering the room Nyx clapped and the guard shook his head, "Three out of ten." Followed by deja vu of Rosalyn's criticism and her brother acting as though he knew what he was talking about.

This continued for several minutes into hours with her barely scraping by, getting some approvals and mostly rejects. "They're fine for daily wear, but definitely not her first tea party she attends or host." Rosalyn sounded a bit disgruntled as she spoke to the woman, now showing her sketches of what she drew the night before. It looked like even her custom dress from the night before was a bust.

All of a sudden, "You really are a genius, Franciska." She exclaimed as she found the perfect piece, holding the paper up at her as she rested against Theron while her guard finally nodded, giving it a seven out of ten, her previous record being a five.

She was really curious as to what it was but ran out of energy to even bother at that point, it didn't matter as long as they approved. "I was thinking pink to start… but now that I see it this would definitely suit Brother Isaac's suggestions."

"Would you mind sketching up some shoe designs as well with jewelry so we can order it elsewhere as you prepare the dress? I hope three days is enough time to finish this… I don't want to put too much pressure on my favorite designer." She faked a sad look, the woman frantically shaking her head and assuring she could do it in time.

"No worries Lady Rosalyn! A hundred of these could be made in three days if that's what you want." Eye twitching, it finally zoned in on her that she just said shoes and jewelry, this day was far from over. Sobbing silently into Theron she drowned out everyone, Including Isaac who was pulling out money to buy all the dresses after Nyx said he would buy the ones they didn't like because he liked them.

She couldn't wait for this month to be over. More importantly, she couldn't wait for her chance to sleep. Forget death by the third prince, she was about to have a death from exhaustion.
