"This is hella hard, man!" I basically cried as I just fell flat into the ground.
"Well, it is your first training in basic combat, so it is understandable. I mean, it's your first time doing any sort of physical training, I believe." Jerome spoke as he sat beside me.
"How the hell did I even survive with no physical training? I mean, I guess survival is doable, but I still quite fit, you know? How the hell did that happen?" I questioned.
"Dieting, I guess." Jerome looked like he was confused about that part as well.
"Ha, whatever. It's not like I got time to think about all of that." I shrugged as I said that.
Meanwhile, Leila, who looked like she hadn't broken a sweat, walked towards me. "My Lord, since you're done with training, I'll get ready with the preparations." She spoke.
"Oh, yea. You do that." I nodded my head as I said that. "And I'm telling this to you one more time. Our aim in this is not to kill those bandits. It's to capture them alive so that they could open their mouths and spill secrets that we're gonna need."
"I get what you're saying, my Lord. We will make sure that we won't kill anyone in the bandit's lair." Leila seemed quite confident as she said that.

"Well, that was one big lie." Leila mumbled as she slit the bandit minion's throat who lunged towards her.
"Huh? Did you say something?" Her subordinate turned towards her giving out a really confused look.
"Ah, it's nothing." She spoke. "Anyhow, kill everyone but the leader of these bandits. It's not like they're gonna be holding any valuable information." Leila ordered.
"Are you sure? Maybe there's a secret leader who's ordering these bandits and it might just be someone on the lower levels." One of her subordinates spoke.
"Yea, you're overthinking it now." Leila shrugged as she said that. "Just focus on the killing and be on the lookout for the leader." She ordered to which everyone nodded their heads.
And it didn't take them much to literally wipe the entire bandit lair. After all, they were the strongest squad in the entirety of the kingdom.
"Who are you people? What have I done to any one of you?" The boss of the bandits, who was really scared at that point, asked them as he flimsily pointed his sword towards them.
"Have you ever thought about it?" Leila sat at the throne that the bandit leader previously sat upon as he barked orders at his subordinates.
"Huh? What are you talking about?" The bandit leader was quite confused at that point because Leila was expecting him to answer when she hadn't even finished her sentence.
"Well, there have been people saying the same thing to you, right? Like, I'm sure that there were people who cried and begged towards you as they wondered what wrong they did for you to plunder and kill them like you did." She spoke.
At this point, the surprise in the bandit leader's face grew even more. "What! Kill? Us? Sure, we did plunder, but we never killed anyone!" He argued.
"Wait, you didn't?" Leila stood up. This time around she was the one who was surprised. "Wait, is that why we were asked to capture you guys alive rather than killing everyone?" She mumbled.
"Wait, you were asked to capture us? You could've just said that, you know? It's not like we like fighting and all. Hell, we rarely lift our swords. We would've easily surrendered." The bandit leader shrugged as he said that.
"Hey! It's not our fault. If you were so keen on giving up just like that, why did one of your goons lunge at me raising his sword?" She asked.
"Don't you know something called an intimidation tactic? He probably didn't lunge at you thinking of killing you or anything. He was trying to induce the fear factor and I can't blame him for that." He replied.
"If that was the case, he could've easily just warned us with his words. The fact that he raised his sword against me is the one mistake that he made." She spoke.
"How was he supposed to know that you lot are simply killing machines?" The man shrugged as he said that.
"Yea, I guess we are at fault for that." Leila nodded her head as she said that.
"Just one word. One intimidation tactic from your part. That would've been enough." The bandit leader cried as he said that.
"Well, had you surrendered after the first kill, a lot of lives would've been saved, you know? Too bad." Leila spoke.
"How were we supposed to surrender when the first thing that we heard coming out from your mouth was to kill everyone?" He argued.
"Oh, that's true. I did say that, didn't I?" Leila sighed as she mumbled.
"Argh, this is annoying me to a really great extent. What is your boss going to think when he realizes that you messed up?" The bandit leader asked.
"Umm, my boss, huh? Well, I guess he's gonna be pissed for some time, but when he realizes that we have kept the main man alive, I think he's going to forgive me." Leila spoke.
"Main man? Do you mean me? How the hell am I the main man? Who am I the main man to?" He cried as he asked that.
"To me. You're the main man that I'm searching for." The bandit leader was stupefied by the person who walked towards him with an eerie smile on his face.

"Something smells foul." I sniffed around as I said that.
"It seems like losing most of your memories heightened your sense of smell for some weird reason." Jerome shrugged as he said that.
"Well, I don't know, maybe it did." I chuckled at that point.
"Maybe it's this?" Jerome handed a letter to me as he said that.
"Ah, it sure reeks of blood." I sighed as I opened the letter and read the contents of it.
"What does it say?" Jerome asked, maybe because he saw me smile for some reason.
"Let's go, Jerome! We've got an entrance to make!" I jumped up as I said that.
