Chapter 7: Providence Return

PART 1

"What? That's impossible, a fragile mortal such as a human surviving the flames of Purgatory...?"

I could've sworn I died, but around my neck was a glowing Necklace I had worn in order to venture out into the Devil Zone—

"The Necklace of Providence... it saved me?"

Around my body was an transparent white barrier, flames were still attached to it from the purgatory flames this demon called it, now realizing how the barrier formed, I gasped in shock...

"Who are you?"

In front of me and was a creature that looked to be a fairy. This creature managed to save me from immediate death, I was confused at first, and could see the massive demon in front of us open up not one, but dozens of portals surrounding us—

"Hey, watch out, I don't need your help! With the necklace of providence I can manage on my own—"

"Dumbass! I'm from the necklace of providence, I'm providence herself!"

Those words hit me harder than a catapult, this floating fairy— no... providence? Was my savior?

"You're freaking kidding me, a small imp like you saved me?"

"What did you say, you little shit?"

"ME, LITTLE? YOU ARE LIKE FIVE INCHES?!"

This thing... was protecting me? Seriously?

Providence appeared in front of me as a tiny, young female with a pair of fairy-like wings and pointed ears. From what I could tell, she had White hair, Yellow eyes, and pale skin. Wearing  a short, pale-black sleeveless dress and no footwear.

I was being protected by something so small, but I couldn't truly handle these beasts, I was simply bluffing to seem like I could protect her—

PART 2

[DIVINE ABYSS!]

Without even a warning, before my eyes Providence casted a magical circle with three rotating Runes inside of them.

"Haaaaaaaaa!"

The wind had picked up around our area and even I was sliding backwards, having to dig my feet into the ground so I wouldn't be swept up by the wind.

"Gyah— what type of attack!?"

I managed to hold my ground, but in front of me she had fired off a wave of divine energy that had changed destiny itself, causing the portals of purgatory that the demon summoned to disappear.

"Incredible..."

I gasped at the sight, and soon enough that divine energy split apart into separate arrays of blasts, hitting, and Completely vaporizing every demon in our area.

"Foul creatures go back to where you came from!"

Watching Providence shout at them with her sassy-like voice, I couldn't believe my eyes.

"I...can't believe it, they all were eradicated in an instant, what was that?"

PART 3

My eyes still looking up at the divine energy particles that slowly disappeared into the air—

"What was it? Well it was what I called it. The Divine abyss."

The transparent portal around me had suddenly vanished, Providence now stood floating in front of me crossing her arms.

"Divine Abyss?"

"Hah! Guess the old lady didn't tell you about me huh? I am ~~Providence~~, I lived inside of the Necklace for a long time guiding the old Lady Aurora until the three children of destiny were born. Guess who those three are?"

"No clue..."

"......"

Guess my straightforward response shocked her, she even leaned her head back.

"Ahem! So Seth, Cain, and Abel are the three children of destiny, and as you may know I am Providence. I was actually once a Celestial but let's not talk about that—"

I raised an eyebrow at her, I didn't believe in anything she said.

"A Celestial huh? Alright Miss Celestial, can you tell me a quicker way to the Mountain of the Gods?"

"Hey! What's up with that change of voice? Are you doubting me?"

My eyes squinted and I turned to my side, starting back my journey to the mountain.

"I'm outta here."

I placed my blade back inside of its sheathe behind me connected to my traveling backpack.

"I-I can't believe it... that little shit doesn't believe in me? Hey! Come back here!"

I ignored her words yawning with my hand over my mouth.

"No thanks. I'll pass."

"Okay then, how about this?"

As I walked ahead and ignored her, I was suddenly stopped in my tracks.

".....What's going on...? I can't move..."

I hadn't a clue to what was happening, but soon after I was stuck in place, Providence came floating off to the side of my head and now hovering in front of my face.

"You know, you're a tough one... man, I had to paralyze every cell and muscle in your body to make you stop in your tracks."

*Kukuku* I could hear her laugh, it sounded like she was mocking me.

"You make it sound easy, seriously what are you—"

"I already told you, I am Providence, I was once a celestial. When I say these words you better believe them. What I'm about to teach you will change your life forever..."
