Chapter 21: You cannot beat a child of destiny

PART 1

The Higher Gods Realm, it was a realm that existed above the infinite hierarchy of the Celestial World, in this realm of the higher gods, they looked down on the infinite Celestials as if they were all grains of sand on a beach. The same could be said for Loki, however—

"His power skyrocketed, he's using the flames of Heaven... how did he get this power?"

Loki back-stepped a few steps away and formed a golden portal next to him.

"I'll have your head! Your rage has sent you over the edge! I'll make sure to have you on your knees after we're done!"

Loki pulled forth the Laevateinn. An ancient sword crafted by none other than Loki himself, a mere swing of it and you may as well be deciding where you'll go after death.

"Haaaaaaah!"

"Uuuoooooaaaa!!!"

They made way into one another, and collided their swords.

*Kaboom* the sound of a thunderous explosion that echoed miles upon miles inside of the Devil Zone.

Dàinsleif and Laevateinn clashed into one another, however Dàinsleif's power was weak compared to Laevateinn, though it could only manage itself via the Flames of Heaven coating its exterior.

"How did you obtain those flames Child? Do you have any idea what they can do?"

Loki talked to Seth in a menacing tone of voice, the two of them had sparks from their blades light up the area as the previous explosion from their clash blew away the entire landscape, kilometers around them.

"I don't know what they are, but I do know I'll use them to beat you! I'll make sure I winnnn!!!"

In a exaggerated yell for victory, Seth pushed forward, his heavenly flames coated his blade even more, forming a fiery sword around his own sword.

"I'm suppose to be on the level of a Higher God... how can a inborn Mortal push me back... rgghh... Eraaaaaa!!!"

Loki tried with all his might but wasn't a match. He fell to one knee, using both of his hands to hold onto Laevateinn, as Dàinsleif was directly over him, pushing him into the ground bit by bit.

"Uuuwaaaaaahhhhh!!!"

Loki screamed for dear life, Seth toppling his power with the Heavenly Flames as Dàinsleif's flames of heavens nearly reached over Loki's face.

"If those flames touch my skin... I'm good as dead... not even Father Odin can survive it's power—"

Loki closed his eyes, and decided to take this to the next step. His blade Laevateinn started to change in its power, morphing and changing its recent power into an entirely different new power.

"Curse of Hades!"

Loki shouted before Laevateinn swiped Dàinsleif to the side. Loli's sword could be embedded with any sort of curse, and use it accurately.

The Curse of Hades allowed for an opponent using fire in battle, to never be able to wield it again. The same could be said for the flames of Heaven, now taking advantage of Seth's opening, he elbowed him right into the gut, however he managed to miss—

"W-What—? Guoh!"

Seth dodged underneath his elbow, socking the god of trickery into the torso, his fists covered in the same flames of heaven...

Seth managed to copy the flames of Heaven, only meant for the realm of the higher gods. Loki may have taken away Dàinsleif's power to use the flames of Heaven, but not Seth himself.

Loki started to feel his body being pummeled, from left to right, left to right. Seth aimed for his Upper-body, making sure to leave no part of him uninjured.

"UNGH... GAH! MMF—"

Loki had literal holes in his body, he couldn't take anymore pain, he's already been knocked unconscious, his body going limp and falling backwards, bouncing off the ground.

"S-Seth that's enough! Calm down!"

In the background Providence's voice was heard. Before Seth delivered the final blow, he had stopped himself, his eyes still full of Malice, having their colors changed to pure-red from his Genesis Awakening.

"Seth it's over, he's done! C-Can't you see, you've done enough?"

Providence who flew next to him would grab his arm, she cried into it, holding onto Seth as if she's just seen him die...

"Don't lose yourself, please don't lose yourself, you damn idiotic Mortal child! It may not seem like it but... *Sniff* I'm even holding my life in your hands. Everything we've done up to now, it's been for a reason, you are a Prophecy Child, don't have it go to waste Seth!"

PART 3

I felt her tiny head wiggle back and forth as she dug it into my Coat's sleeve.

My eyes went back to normal, seeing Loki beneath me battered and bruised. Holes were all in his body, seeing that the flames of heaven still burned around his wounds.

"I-I see now.... The reason you were able to use the flames of Heaven is because of the world creating endless possibilities in order for the Hero to win... I stood no chance against you from the beginning... H-Heh... however even though the world created a possibility for you to win, how did you manage to use the flames as if they were second nature...?"

Loki talked with blood pouring from his mouth, his life slowly faded away, he was dying without a chance to come back. I could see it in his eyes, he feared death despite his existence as a Higher God.

"I have no clue, when I awoken Genesis, I felt like I could have perfect control and accuracy on whatever I use, but—"

Providence slowly crawled up my shoulders as I looked down in regret...

"Child of Mortality, you cannot leave him be! You must fix him, he is a Higher God, can't you see he's of importance?"

Providence after whispering this in my ear would kick her foot on my cheek a few times.

"I...I understand... I just... I can't stand it damnit..."

Providence and Loki both looked at me, confused...

"Gods, they always look down on us and try to play with our lives. They think of us as if we're nothing more than infants walking around on a thin line. When Loki spoke of my brother, it pushed me over the edge... I couldn't handle it..."

I had closed my eyes, and looked away in shame, gritting my teeth.

"But... it is true... Seth..."

My eyes opened again, slowly turning to face Loki once more.

"Cain had killed Abel.... And now... Cain is currently on a quest, to obtain World Domination... while you venture out into the Mountain of the Gods... heheheh... I came here to warn you, but... as you can see, you've beaten the Holy Spirit out of me."

...I stopped thinking. At that moment it felt as if my brain flipped upside down inside of my head. Functions didn't work properly, I stuttered trying to speak, my face looked as if I had seen a ghost.... What Loki had said must've been true.

After all, no one would lie in this situation. That's when it hit me, Cain was the Prophecy Child, destined to be the greatest Murderer of mankind.
