Vera lowered her guard on purpose, giving off the impression of a lost tourist. She crossed the gate and stepped into the main hall. She walked down the aisle, her nose up towards the frescoes. There were a few biblical scenes on the ceiling, and the arching roof made her gasp. The building had interesting architecture, and the more she walked in, the more it intrigued her. It was full of stories and years, and many things should have happened there.

How many weddings? How many funerals? She could feel the energy of the people vibrate in the air even if it was empty at that time of the day.
