How to kill a witch (1)

Neven was observing the scene from the window. He didn't need to look at the screen of his laptop, nor listen to the tape. He could feel everything about Vera even from such a distance.

She was calm, which meant he didn't need to fly down there and wreak havoc. Even the Azhdaya was calm, oddly enough. He was also listening closely, taking decisions and likely being furious about what those humans wanted to do.

Neven saved the tape on his laptop and also logged it in the system, just in case they tried destroying his device. They would attempt to take it back, maybe even convince him not to press charges.

It was too late for that, but how could they imagine it?

«Give me that thing!» Ed said.

Neven's eyebrow twitched. How dared he use such a tone with his wife? Also, it was pointless. The recording was not in the camera anymore.
