Forming the Teams
Jayr POV - Dragon Ball Universe, Zeno's Palace - Age 780
After the Grand Minister completed his announcement and teleported everyone back to their universes, he teleported to the Null Realm and started to work on creating the perfect stage for the Tournament of Power.
Meanwhile, I continued to spend some time playing with the Zeno while at the same time, I used my Cosmic Awareness to check on a few interesting parties.
At the Sacred World of the Kai of the 7th Universe, Beerus blames Goku for reminding Zeno of the tournament, but Whis quickly defends him by informing them that Zeno was already planning to destroy the universes.
Then Shin reminds him that they don't have time to fight among themselves and dreads how innocent people will be dragged into this.
At this point, Goku suggests talking Zeno out of wiping out the universes, but Whis says it's best to leave it because messing with Zeno's mood might cause him to erase Goku on the spot, followed by Beerus, who retorts that Whis must be unaffected because he won't be erased, which makes Whis reply he is simply a Guide Angel.
Since most of the strongest warriors are on Earth, Beerus suggests they head to Bulma's house and eat their potentially last few meals while discussing a strategy.
Meanwhile, at Belmod's Planet in the 11th Universe, Belmod talks with Marcarita about the Super Dragon Balls really existing and asks Top if all the Pride Troopers are able to participate.
Top replies that they are scattered on missions, but he will call them, which makes Belmod tell him to make sure Jiren comes, which Top promises before leaving.
Marcarita then asks Belmod how he plans to convince Jiren, whom Belmod says never kills people in the name of justice and will go against his own principles if it means pursuing justice.
Belmod says Jiren, however, has a wish that can be granted with the Super Dragon Balls and confirms his plan to use this as bait to convince Jiren to participate, and after that, Belmod asks Khai to take him to where Jiren is.
Back at Capsule Corporation in the 7th Universe, while eating, Vegeta and Bulma are dismayed at Goku for the tournament.
Shin suggests they contact Goza and ask him his opinion since he usually travels around the universe and thus may know some unknown powerful warrior, which Goku agrees to, and then he asks Vegeta to join the team, but he refuses because his child could be born any day.
At this point, Whis comes in with a blanket and uses his magic to bring forth the baby, thus returning Bulma to her original frame before pregnancy, and wraps the baby up as he hands the baby to her.
Although everyone is stunned, Bulma thanks Whis for allowing the baby to be born painlessly, while Goku says this is his first time seeing a baby be born and thinks it's the normal way, but Shin says it's not.
Bulma shows the baby to Vegeta, and he is happy to have a daughter before she asks Whis if he can do that again if she has more children, and Whis says yes if the universe isn't erased.
This reminds everyone not to celebrate just yet, and Bulma asks how many planets are there with mortals.
At this point, Shin explains that with the loss of Planet Namek, Vegeta, and Sadala, there are 28 planets with mortals, which makes Bulma berate him for making the 7th Universe look weak and not doing his job in studying the planets.
After some time, Goza arrives and they start to discuss the formation of the team before deciding to first gather all the possible warriors before choosing the best team possible, of course, this is Goza's suggestion.
Goku suggests then suggests Buu, Master Roshi, Cell, Tien Shinhan, and Krillin, while Vegeta suggests Gohan and Nappa, but Goku has doubts because Gohan has been busy, but agrees that Nappa is a good choice and then suggests Trunks and Goten instead of Gohan.
However, Vegeta is against bringing children into the tournament and doesn't want the boys to know.
Goku then wonders about Android 18 as he isn't sure if she is a viable option, and Bulma explains that Android 18 was a human who was simply modified into an android.
At this point, Vegeta suggests they should recruit Android 17 and Android 16 as well, even though Bulma is unsure due to them being a former enemy.
Vegeta then asks Goku if he knows where Android 17 and Android 16 live, but Goku says no because he can't sense their Ki.
As Goku decides to head to Krillin's house to ask 18, Goza stops him and reminds them about Piccolo before he also tells him to simply gather everyone who wants to take part, and then they will all decide the best team possible together.
After that, Vegeta also reminds Goku to bring plenty of Senzu Beans but Whis says those are forbidden because they stimulate stamina before Shin assures Goku they still have Majin Buu who can use healing powers then Goku departs to speak to Krillin and Android 18 while Bulma contacts Mr. Satan to request Buu's presence and Goza contacts Cell telling him to come to the Capsule Corporation.
Back in the 11th Universe on Planet Bas, the Pride Troopers are battling a giant crab beast that is terrorizing a city with its "spawns".
Dyspo tries to help the citizens while fighting the crab and is saved by Top's timely arrival when Top uses his Justice Beam to cut off one of the crab's arms.
Top then asks where Jiren is, and Dyspo says Jiren is on Planet Towale after prisoners broke out of the galaxy prison and started a chaos.
The crab traps the Pride Troopers and citizens in foam, and Dyspo tries to attack, but Top tells him that doing so will endanger the citizens.
Before the crab can kill everyone, Jiren flies and effortlessly beats the crab and captures it, and then, Dyspo asks Jiren if he traveled through outer space from Planet Towae by flight rather than a spacecraft, which Jiren confirms because it was faster, and Dyspo says Jiren really is out of the ordinary.
After freeing the citizens, Jiren refuses Top's invitation because his priority is protecting the peace of the universe and believes it is the universe's fate to be erased if it loses.
Top asks Jiren if he believes it is justice to let everything he protects be erased, but Jiren stays quiet.
At this point, Belmod arrives and tells Jiren about getting a wish, which makes Jiren interested and agrees to participate on the condition he returns to the 11th Universe if something happens to it.
Meanwhile, back on Earth in the 7th Universe, Krillin, Android 18, and Marron are at home and turn off the TV as Goku comes by for a visit.
He tells Krillin and Android 18 about the Tournament, but leaves out the details of the consequences of losing.
Krillin agrees to enter even though he's out of shape, as he feels it will be fun, while Android 18 refuses, not wanting to go through the trouble when there's no reward.
At this point, Goku tells her that there will be a financial reward of 10 million Zeni per person for the victor.
At first, Android 18 believes that he may be lying, but in the end decides to enter.
Goku then asks if she knows the locations of Android 17 and Android 16, to which Android 18 tells him that they work at a Wildlife Sanctuary, but is unsure of the name.
At this point, Krillin advises Goku that he should go and ask Dende, as he can see everything from up on The Lookout.
Goku goes to see Dende and Mr. Popo, who already know the details of the Tournament of Power and do not hesitate to help.
Dende tells Goku that Android 17 and Android 16 are on an island to the South and uses his abilities to send The Lookout hurtling through the sky.
On the way, Goku ponders why Android 17 turned into a good guy after he was brought back to life, to which Dende replies that after his bomb was removed from inside him, he began to reclaim his humanity.
Dende also tells Goku of a boy nearby in a small village named Uub.
He tells Goku that one day he should train him in order to use his power correctly.
Goku tells him that it isn't really his thing, but Dende responds that Uub is the reincarnation of Buu from many years before, and Goku vows not to forget his name.
After pointing out the island that Android 17 is on, Goku lands on the island only to find it swarming with monsters, and then, he hears the noise of vehicles nearby and goes to see who it is, assuming that Android 17 and Android 16 may be there, so he puts a mask on.
Soon, the two Androids appear before the poachers and easily fend off their attack.
At one point, Android 17 attacks the masked Goku and is surprised when he defends himself.
The two continue their battle as Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan 2 and Super Saiyan 3, but the battle ends when Goku tells Android 17 who he is.
After that, Goku helps the Androids with removing the poachers from the island, then discusses the Tournament.
Android 17 and Android 16 initially refuse, not wanting to leave the island; however, after the truth comes out, they eventually agree to enter after believing that they owe Krillin for having the bomb taken out of Android 17 and helping repair Android 16.
Android 17 then voices his desire to use the Super Dragon Balls in order to get a large Cruise Ship worth 5 billion Zeni, and Goku promises to let him have his wish if he wins, as he doesn't want anything.
Meanwhile, Mr. Satan, after having finished his interview, remembers Bulma's request and goes to see Buu only to find that he has fallen asleep, a hibernation that he enters once a year, and then he contacts Bulma and tells her the unfortunate news.
Back at the Capsule Corporation, Beerus, Whis, Shin, Goza, Cell, and Vegeta discuss the last two members for their team before deciding that they should go with Gohan, who can be counted on as long as he can regain his fighting instinct.
Goku, having been told the news, heads to see Piccolo, who tells him to give him some Senzu Beans as he declares that he is going to train Gohan up in time for the Tournament.
After that, I focus a bit on planet Sadala in the 6th Universe, where Cabba, on the orders of Champa, attempts to track down fighters ready for the upcoming Tournament of Power.
Two members of the Saiyan army drive past Cabba, commenting that they are in Caulifla's territory and they should be careful, however, Caulifla appears before them, stopping their vehicle in its tracks and orders her underlings, one of whom is Kale, to unload the cargo of the vehicle.
The Saiyan decides to fight back, stating that Caulifla shouldn't underestimate the Saiyan Army, however, he is easily thrown aside.
The cargo is revealed to be food and jewels for King Sadala, and the Saiyan attempts to shoot Caulifla, but Kale uses a quick burst of speed to grab the gun and crushes it before he knows what happened.
After that, Caulifla and her underlings return to their hideout, where they share some of the food with some young Saiyans, and Cabba then arrives looking for Caulifla.
Caulifla fights Cabba, annoyed that she was asked to take part in a Tournament.
Cabba tries to explain that if they don't win, their entire universe will be wiped out, but Caulifla doesn't care; she tells him he will have to make her participate and that she has never met a Saiyan who can defeat her.
In response, Cabba turns into a Super Saiyan and immediately turns the tables of the fight, taking back the jewel that Caulifla stole and telling her that the Saiyans of the 7th Universe are also capable of the form and can evolve even further.
At this point, Caulifla agrees to join the Tournament, wanting to become stronger herself.
Kale then offers her back the jewel that Cabba took, shocking him, but Caulifla refuses it and says she should give it back.
Back at the Capsule Corporation in the 7th Universe, Beerus awakens to find that Krillin and the Old Kai have now also appeared.
Goku soon arrives, telling them all that he's recruited Tien Shinhan, and Krillin confronts him, knowing that he lied about the prize money, and says that he and Android 18 now refuse to enter.
Goku pleads with Krillin to enter, knowing that he will be a good teammate, and Bulma says that she will pay Android 18 and Master Roshi herself.
Having now gathered more than the 10 necessary warriors, Beerus voices his annoyance that they are all from Earth and that it's their fault for wiping out the Frieza Force.
The Old Kai, having been vacationing at the time of Frieza's return to Earth, is told the story of what happened by Whis.
It then gives Goku the idea for another possible fighter to be Frieza, suggesting that he have Fortuneteller Baba revive him for 24 hours, and that even he would not want all the universes to be wiped out.
Vegeta asks why Goku would go for such a stupid ploy, but he explains that he fought against a warrior from the 11th Universe and lost.
Then he explains that there is someone else even stronger than him but before he can move, Goza stops him and inform everyone that he know of a very powerful warrior whose potential is on a whole other level and is likely a much better option than Frieza, the only problem is that he is somewhat difficult to handle, and may possibily be even be hostile.
After saying that, Goza brings out his Spaceship and, without wasting any more time, he heads off to bring back this "mysterious" warrior.
At this point, I smile wryly while thinking, 'Goza clearly wants to bring out the big guns. This "mysterious" warrior, whose potential is on a whole other level, can only be HIM. Broly THE Legendary Super Saiyan. Sure, Goza may have the same mutation as him and maybe even more potential, but they aren't the same. Goza is well-trained and powerful in his own right, but Broly is a true genius, a natural-born fighter who absorbs everything the opponent does and makes it his own. The honorable creator himself, Akira Toriyama, described Broly as an incredibly strong Saiyan as well as "that almighty Saiyan," which is more than enough proof of his true potential. I mean, even Goza himself decided to be reborn as a Legendary Super Saiyan because of him. His name basically became the synonym of the word overpowered.'
While thinking that, I also quickly use my Cosmic Awareness to check on the situation in the other universes that are going to participate in the Tournament of Power.
In the 2nd Universe, the God of Destruction Heles is organizing an audition call for a spot on her universe's team for the Tournament of Power, and is even organizing something that closely reminds me of a reality show as everyone in that universe was informed of what is happening and are closely following the ongoing event.
On the other hand, in the 3rd Universe things are moving much quicker as the God of Destruction Mule, the Supreme Kai Eyre, and Guide Angel Camparri, enlisted Dr. Paparoni who has quickly gathered his team and is now focusing on artificially enhancing himself, his creations, the artificially intelligent machine lifeforms, Borareta, Koitsukai, and Pancéa, and the rest of the team for the tournament.
In the 4th Universe, the God of Destruction Quitela, the Supreme Kai Kuru, and the Guide Angel Cognac were able to quickly gather the strongest warriors of the universe as they already had plenty of information about them, and now Quitela is sending spies to other universes in order to gather more information about the other teams, especially the Team from the 7th Universe because of his rivality with Beerus.
In the 6th Universe, while Cabba, Caulifla, and Kale are now heading toward Champa's palace to gather with the other members of the team and train together and Hit is searching for the still hiding and disgraced Frost and the last member for the team, Dr. Rota, a magic user he encountered before, Champa and Vados decided to recruit Namekians of their own and so they went to Universe 6's Planet Namek to recruit a few of them.
But once the Namekians of the 6th Universe's Planet Namek were told of the situation, all of them decided to merge their beings into their two strongest warriors, who are Saonel and Pilina.
Different from all the other universes until now, the 9th Universe is having some trouble finding members to recruit for their team, until now they have only comfirmed the Trio of Danger composed by Bergamo, Lavender, and Basil since the 9th Universe has the lowest mortal level but since they still have six days thanks to me, I'm sure that they will be able to create a competent team this time.
Lastly, in the 10th Universe, the Supreme Kai Gowasu and the Guide Angel Kusu have already gathered their team and presented them to the God of Destruction Rumsshi, and are now wasting time dancing as a preparation for the tournament while Gowasu films them, presumably to post it on GodTube.
After confirming the situation of all the universes that are going to partecipate in the Tournament of Power, I realize that it is finally time for me to move and form my own team, so I quickly decide to move my Digimon Incarnation that is currently enjoying some time training with my little sister Geist while the Main Body cotinues to waste time with the Zenos and Patamon.
Jayr (Aegiochusmon) POV - Saint Seiya Universe, Earth, Greece, Sanctuary - 1994
I focus on my little sister Geist as she raises her right arm akin a cobra raising its head, sets her Spiral Cosmo on fire making it explode as her outstretched hand and fingers produce real lightning with electric charges of over 10,000,000 volts, before she calls out the name of her and Shaina's signature technique, "Thunder Claw!!"
Then Geist charges toward me at the speed of light, but before her hand can touch my body, I calmly grasp her wrist, completely ignoring the electric charge running into my body, and with a proud smile on my face, I comment, "Not bad, Geist... Now you have a very good mastery of your 7th Sense. The current you is as strong as an inexperienced Gold Saint. I'm very proud of you."
In respose, Geist reigns in her Spiral Cosmo snuffing out the lightning and electric charge coming out of her hand, snorts and says, "Even so, I'm still the weakest among us..." before she glance at the sun up in the sky and exclaims, "Oh shit! It is almost training time! Today is my turn to tortur- ehrm I mean train the Trainee!"
Shortly after saying that, Geist's figure immediately disappears as she moves at the speed of light, leaving behind only the faint echo of her voice that says, "See you later, Jayr!"
Seeing that I can't help but smile wryly and mutter, "I pity the Trainees training under her... Geist is just as sadistic and ruthless as Grandpa Jayr when it comes to training, but on top of that, she is also a thousand times more mischievous... May my lovely wife watch over their poor souls."
Some time later, I casually float up in the sky looking at the Sanctuary below me while thinking, 'Let's see... I have to form a team composed of 10 people to take part in this unpredictable version of the Tournament of Power. On top of that, even if it isn't that important, I do want to win, so the members of my team must be strong enough to fight and win against the likes of Broly, Goku, Vegeta, Jiren, Goza, and all the other powerful warriors of the Dragon Ball Multiverse. The first obvious choices are my Digimon Partners, Patamon, V-mon, and Wormmon. After all, in their Perfect Level, they are already powerful enough to contend against many of the powerful warriors of the Dragon Ball Multiverse, and in their Ultimate Level, they become at least as strong as the Gods of Destruction. With them, I already have three spots decided, which leaves me with 7 more to fill.'
At this point, my gaze lands on the Gold Zodiac, more precisely on the 12 temples that are the home of the Gold Saints, but I quickly shake my head and mutter, "Nope. I can't fill the remaining spot with the Gold Saints, they are needed to protect the Sanctuary and this world... Maybe I can ask one or two of them to join, but seven of them is just too much."
While saying that, an idea immediately comes to my mind which makes me lightly knock myself on the head and exclaim, "How could I forget about them!" before I mutter, "While I can't bring the Gold Saints with me... I can easily ask a few Saints whose power is close to theirs and maybe even above them! A group of Saints that have faced the Gods many times and that have always come up on top!"
At this point, a grin forms on my face while I think, 'Of course, with Seiya, Ikki, Hyoga, Shun, and Shiryu, my team is going to be an absolute nightmare for the warriors of the Dragon Ball Multiverse!'
Shortly after thinking that, I quickly use my Cosmic Awareness to check on them and after a few moments of watching them enjoying their peaceful lives with their lovers and families, I decide to not approach them while muttering, "Nope... it is so rare for them to enjoy such a long period of peace. After all, they have been through one battle after another other even after the Holy War against Hades, always on the frontlines. It is only after Eri ascended as Goddess of Death that things finally settled down. I just can't disturb them for this, especially since I have other options available."
At this point, I think about my other friends, the comrades who fought against Poseidon with me as we all risked our lives together to protect the world from Poseidon's rage, 'Rigel, Juan, Algol, Isaak, George, and Kiki... Unfortunately, George chose to retire, but Rigel, Juan, Algol, and Isaak are still active Silver Saints. They are very powerful to the point that many of them are very close to the Gold Saints in power. On top of that, Kiki is the current Aries Gold Saint which is more than enough proof of his power.'
After that, another very, very powerful Silver Saint comes to my mind, 'Then there is Orphèe... that guy is a true monster who mastered the 8th Sense for many years and is actually one of the strongest Saints currently alive. On top of that, he owes me a few favors for saving/reviving his then-lover, now wife, and helping with the birth of his children.'
I quickly count them in my mind and mutter, "If I include Orphèe... then I have 9 warriors, which means there is only one spot left... Who should I ask...?"
Suddenly, a figure appears in my mind, and with a mischievous grin on my face, I exclaim, "Oh my, Goddess wives! How could I forget about him!? How could I forget about my dear disciple Koby...? I think it is time to assess his progress and mastery over Cosmo, and nothing works better than a battle against beings who can easily blow up a few planets, galaxies, and even whole universes if they are not careful! This experience will surely build up his character even more... Hehehe..."
Shortly after coming up with a list of prospective members for my team, I don't waste any more time and immediately move to contact my chosen warriors and invite them to take part in the Tournament of Power.
