The Tournament of Power 13/27

Jayr POV - Dragon Ball Universe, Null Realm - Age 780

As soon as the eliminated Super Ribrianne and Jimizu got transported to the spectator stand next to the other eliminated warriors and the deities of the 2nd Universe, the Grand Minister didn't waste any time and immediately announced, "All the warriors of the 2nd Universe have dropped out. And now, the 2nd Universe will be erased!"

Hearing that, the Zenos raise their hands and charge twin blue spheres of energy in their hands that are going to be used to erase the 2nd Universe from existence while cheerfully yelling, ""Okay!!""

At the same time, the warriors and Deites of the 2nd Universe in the Null Realm, excluding the Guide Angel Sour, start flashing in a white aura but different from the previous time, this time thet aren't frozen as they can all still move and talk, a small grace that the Supreme Kai of the 2nd Universe, Pell, make use of to praise and console the warriors one last time, "Well done, all of you. You showed us a magnificent light of love."

This is followed by the God of Destruction of the 2nd Universe, who says, "Now that it has come to this, let us accept our fate. Gracefully. And above all else... Beautifully!"

At this point, Ribrianne faces the small device they were using to transmit the Tournament of Power to the whole 2nd Universe, and with a big smile on her face, she says while taking her pose, "Everyone! Thank you truly for cheering us on!"

Kakunsa appears beside her as she also takes her pose and says, "Even if the 2nd Universe is erased, our love lives on inside all of you!" This is followed by Roasie, who does the same and adds, "Now let's finish it off with the usual!"

"""Ready, set..."""

In the end, all the warriors, in addition to the Supreme Kai and the God of Destruction, take their poses all around the trio while yelling with a smile on their faces.

""""""""""""Love!!""""""""""""

"""Bye-bye!"""

At this point, the Zenos close their open hands into a closed fist while announcing, ""Squish!""

Immediately after the flashing warriors and Gods completely disappear, leaving behind only Sour the Guide Angel and a small glowing pink heart that slowly floats away.

Using my Cosmic Awareness, I confirm that the same is true for the whole 2nd Universe, which has now become a completely blank, empty space.

I watch the calm Sour who continues to sit on the spectator stand, but his gaze isn't focused on the fighting stage, but instead it is focused on the small glowing heart that is slowly floating, hinting that despite his rigidity, he did have some fondness for his universe and its inhabitants.

Looking at this scene, I can't help but smile wryly while thinking, 'I can't understand why the 2nd Universe was so hated in my previous life. Sure, some of their warriors were a bit annoying and overzealous; however, they were all good people who simply fought to protect their universe. On top of that, I can only have respect for the way they went out. And who wouldn't? They had the best farewell, they took it like champs and went out in the most classy way possible: doing stylish poses and encouraging the people of their universe. They also had the courage to tell their universe about the Tournament of Power and show it. In response to their trust, the entire universe rallied together to support the team. This tells all one needs to know about how united the 2nd Universe was. It is very likely that among all the 12 Universes, the 2nd Universe is actually the most peaceful one, and that is quite something for the Dragon Ball Multiverse as a whole.'

While I'm thinking that, I soon focus on another part of the fighting stage where Goza is about to face the two Namekians from the 6th Universe, Saonel and Pilina.

Saonel is a very tall and well-muscled Namekian.

Seemingly customary for the 6th Universe Namekians, his skin is pine green in color as opposed to the standard green of youthful 7th Universe Namekians.

Overall, Saonel looks very similar to Piccolo, except with a smaller nose and somewhat broader jawline.

His clothing is similar to Nail's, consisting of beige pants, dull brown boots, and a long flowing turquoise vest, while his vest is secured by a yellow sash tied in a knot at his left hip.

On the other hand, Pilina is a large and muscular Namekian, similar to Lord Slug.

He is considerably taller than his teammate Saonel, but, just like him, his skin is a pine green color instead of the normal green exhibited by the 7th Universe Namekians.

Pilina's outfit consists of a long, dark brown vest with a beige sash tied around the midsection, black underwear, white gloves, and brown boots.

(Image Here - Pilina)

The two Namekians of the 6th Universe do not waste any time on useless banter and immediately attack Goza, ganging up on him with a combination attack.

Saonel creates a yellow Ki Blade around his left hand and attacks Goza with a powerful chop, and in response, Goza closes in and grabs Saonel's left wrist, blocking his attack.

However, it seems that the yellow Ki Blade around Saonel's left hand increases the attack strength of his chop attacks to potentially lethal levels, as the force behind his attack is powerful enough to create a crater under their feet despite the fact that Goza stopped it.

At this point, Saonel doesn't hesitate and quickly rips off his felt arm before he quickly jumps out of the way as Pilina as gathered enough Ki to fire a powerful Energy Wave from his mouth that quickly advances toward Goza, who immediately react and doesn't hesistate to jump out of the way, however, Pilina's Energy Wave isn't that easy to deal with as it quickly curves and homes in on Goza, who at this point retaliates by firing his own Energy Wave which clashes against Pilina's generating a massive explosion that creates a thick cloud of smoke that quickly expands and envelopes all the fighters in the area.

The next moment, the thick cloud of smoke is blown away as Saonel, who took advantage of the time brought by the clash between Pilina and Goza's Energy Waves to regenerate his ripped off arm, onca again attacks Goza with another chop enhanced by the yellow Ki Blade not giving him any chance to catch his breath.

However, this is nowhere near enough to overwhelm Goza, who once again repels Saonel's attack with a well-placed kick on the offending arm before retaliating with a vicious punch into the Namekian's guts that pushes him back to his teammate's side.

Watching this brief exchange, I simply shake my head a little and sigh while thinking, 'Geez, Goza is acting just like Vegeta and Goku. He just keeps holding back, playing around, and having fun fighting his opponents, trying to bring out more of their power so that they can have a more exciting battle. In this particular case, he is just waiting for Saonel and Pilina to adjust to the full strength of their fusion with the other Namekians so that they can unleash their true power before he actually fights them seriously. Now that I think about it... After the Tournament of Power is over, I have to remember to undo their fusions. After all, it would be a shame for the noble Namekian race of the 6th Universe to be composed only of Saonel and Pilina after this tournament is over. Especially since once the 6th Universe's inhabitants of Planet Namek were told of the situation regarding the Tournament of Power, all the Namekians decided to merge their beings into their two strongest warriors to fight for their universe, which is something that I can't help but admire.'

While thinking that, I move my gaze away from Goza's battle against the Namekians and focus on a much more interesting battle, the ongoing battle between Goku and a member of my team, the Scutum Silver Saint, Juan.

Goku faces off against Juan, who goes on the assault and pushes Goku back through many boulders and toward the edge of the fighting stage with a powerful series of shield bashes, but then Juan gets overconfident and lowers his guard, which allows Goku to knock him aside.

Goku calmly looks at Juan and with a smirk on his face, he comments, "You got some power, don't ya? As expected from a Saint from Jayr's Universe."

Hearing that, Juan chuckles and says, "Of course, I do. All the Saints go through some truly hellish and at times deadly training in the hope of becoming one of the Saints of Athena and fight for justice and to protect our world."

Then Juan grins and adds, "Naturally, that isn't the only reason why one wishes to become a Saint of Athena. The heavy duty of sacrificing oneself to protect the world is accompanied by quite a few perks, but without any doubt the most important is... that besides training and fighting from time to time, you don't have to do any other job at all and still live a very comfortable life!"

Hearing that, Goku plainly says, "All right, cool, I guess. I, too, would like to only train and fight very strong opponents, but I must set some time aside to work or risk making my wife angry..."

At this point, Juan chuckles a little before he becomes serious and says, "Jayr told me that you are one of the most powerful warriors taking part in this tournament. Since I trust him a lot, that must be true. So I want to test just how strong you are in comparison to me!"

After saying that, Juan starts to burn his Cosmo to the maximum, to the point that a silver aura envelopes his body and the faint image of the Scutum Constellation appears behind him, which makes Goku exclaim, "Whoa! Even if that is different from Ki, I can still tell that you are much more powerful now! This is interesting!"

Juan makes his Cosmo explode and leaps into the air while yelling, "Even if my guardian constellation is the Scutum, it doesn't mean that I only have defensive techniques!"

After yelling that, Juan calls out, "Gravity Crush Screw!" before he starts to spin his body, makes his Cosmo explode, and manipulate gravity to exert an immense amount of force on himself by boosting the gravity, making him falls toward Goku with astonishing speed and power until he delivers a devastating kick to the foe.

Seeing that, Goku also turns serious and, without any hesitation, he transforms into Super Saiyan Blue and moves out of the way to dodge Juan's attack, whose force is so great that it creates a massive crater in the floor, blowing away all the nearby rubble.

After dodging Juan's Gravity Crush Screw, Goku doesn't waste any time and closes in onto Juan before he retaliate with a very powerful kick.

In response, Juan has only the time to barely react by using the shield of the Scutum Cloth to defend himself, however, Goku's kick is so powerful that the shield breaks into pieces and Jaun is blown through many rock formations until he flies past Jiren and then out of the fighting stage ending up being eliminated from the Tournament of Power.

Jiren pays no mind to Juan who passed by and sets his sights on Goku who now also stares back at him while Juan gets transported here and the Grand Minister professionally announces, "The contestant Juan-san from Jayr-sama's Universe has dropped out." followed by the Zenos who happily mark his elimination on their GodPads while commenting.

"Juan... Juan... Here! Tap!"

"Jayr's lost another warrior!"

"He was eliminated by Goku!"

"But their battle was so quick!"

""Still it was fun!""

While they are talking about that, I give a brief glance at Juan, who is now sitting on the ground while nursing his broken arm and complaining about Goku's power before he starts mocking Algol for lasting less time than him, implying that it was proof of the fact that he was the better Saint.

Seeing that, I calmly wave my hand use Restoration Magic to fix the broken Scutum Cloth and heal Juan back to perfect health just like I did for Algol before and then I focus back on the fighting stage where Jiren and Goku, who in the meantime turned back to his base form to conserve his stamina, are still staring at one other.

As the two have a stare-down, the Supreme Kai of the 11th Universe, Khai, comments, "I think the time has come at last."

This is followed by the God of Destruction of the 11th Universe, Belmod, who agrees and states, "Agreed. I will give him the order," before he closes his eyes and telepathically contacts Jiren, likely telling him to crush Goku with his power.

While Jiren walks towards Goku, his presence catches the attention of every other fighter, with Android 18 noting that the entire Null Realm is shaking, and Top tells Jiren to fight to his heart's content to obtain the Super Dragon Balls.

As Jiren calmly stops, Goku takes his iconic fighting stance and confronts him, "So you've finally decided to fight me, after all this time."

In response, Jiren lets off a shockwave with a burst of his Ki that shakes the entire fighting stage, with Krillin exclaiming, "That's nuts!" followed by Beerus, who comments, "Yes. Who would have thought that there is one mortal warrior who can release a level of energy comparable to those two monsters?"

Even the Zenos seems quite interested in this battle in particular, as they exclaim.

"How amazing!"

"I wonder what will happen next?"

"It's so thrilling!"

"And exciting!"

"But also thrilling!"

"And exciting, too!"

Goku commences the battle by firing a Kamehameha, which Jiren casually blocks with the force of his enormous energy, creating a wall in front of him.

At the same time, Shin asks why Goku isn't transforming into Super Saiyan Blue, and Krillin tells him that Goku wishes to gradually test his own power against Jiren's.

After that, Goku dismisses his ineffective Kamehameha and immediately goes Super Saiyan before he rushes up to Jiren and attacks him, but his punches have no effect whatsoever.

He then backs off for a moment and goes Super Saiyan 2 before he resumes his rush, but Jiren is still unfazed by his attacks.

At the same time, Krillin explains to Shin who asked why Goku didn't start to battle at full strength that master-level martial artists wish to draw out their opponent's full power for ultimate battles and when Shin worries about Jiren being not interested in Goku in the same way and thus taking him out with a cheap shot, Krillin informs him that it is clear that Jiren is also a master-level martial artist and thus feels the same way.

Whis agrees and informs Shin and the others that Jiren is also interested in Goku being a worthy opponent, as he has been observing him all this time.

While this is happening, Goku goes Super Saiyan God and forces Jiren to block his attacks; however, he does so with a single finger.

Their exchange is so devastating that concentric craters form around them, each one larger than the previous one.

Goku then realizes Jiren can't get serious like this and exclaims, "What's it gonna take to get you into high gear? Maybe this will do it."

After saying that, Goku starts roaring before he transforms into Super Saiyan Blue, unleashing a burst of Ki that makes the fighting stage shake just like Jiren's did a few moments ago.

At this point, as the two warriors once again stare at one other, I hear Belmod comment, "Well, he's showin's the full power of the Super Saiyan Blue. Of course, even that will prove pointless."

However, Khai disagrees and says, "Not so. In a different way it could prove quite useful, in fact. We want him as strong as possible when he loses," which makes Belmod ask, "And why does that matter?"

In response, Khai explains to Belmod, "What and you'll see... From what I've seen until now, this man, Goku, may be one of the best warriors in the whole Tournament of Power. If he fights with everything he has and yet Jiren still pummels him easily, the remaining contestants in the ring will realize that they have no chance, and lose their will to compete."

Hearing the Supreme Kai's explanation, Belmod realizes, "So you want Goku to reach full power so we can make an example of him as mental warfare. I like that."

At this point, the Guide Angel Marcarita joins the discussion and warns, "You should not forget the dangers of overconfidence, my lord."

Belmod turns his head to look at his assistant and says, "You're right, that would be true for any other fighter. But we're talkin' about Jiren, who cannot be defeated. Overconfidence would be impossible."

In response, Marcarita hums before she says, "Hm? I wouldn't be so sure of that, my lord. I must remind you that there are many formidable warriors taking part in this Tournament of Power, especially those who still have to make some notable move."

At this point, the battle resumes, and Goku attacks by knocking Jiren away, then following him, exchanging attacks; however, Jiren immediately gains the upper hand and knocks Goku around, forcing Goku to continuously use Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-ken, but this does not change the tide of the battle at all.

The two fight all over the tournament ring, casually passing the other fighters, and Goku is easily knocked down.

At one point during the one-sided exchange, Jiren, remarking that it's over, blasts Goku away and poses; however, Goku barely manages to save himself by going Kaio-ken again.

Then Goku charges again, but Jiren swats him aside with a swift energy attack that the others couldn't even see.

"Father!"

"No way!"

"What the heck was that?"

"Tch. Not even I could see those blast attacks coming. That's one tough bastard."

"Oh, that is quite an impressive feat."

At the same time, I hear Saori casually comment, "A faster than light attack... Even the Gold Saints would have some trouble with that," followed by Robin, who adds, "Just like Jayr told us, the warriors living in this multiverse are truly exceptional."

In the meantime, as Goku is catching his breath and checking the marks left by Jiren's faster-than-light attack, Android 17 also focuses on them and comments, "Look at those marks. He must've hit Goku with countless attacks all at once."

This is followed by his sister, Android 18, who says, "Yeah, but I didn't even see him lift a finger."

At the same time, I also see Kiki who is standing close to them smile and mutter in a confident tone, "Now this is finally starting to get interesting. Until now, the real players all held themselves back, but it seems that it is finally time for them to make a move. Maybe, I should also start to act to kick up the pace even more..."

With Goku cornered, Krillin realizes that Goku should be able to withstand a x20 Kaio-ken as Super Saiyan Blue; however, Beerus and Whis realize that Goku was already using x20 Kaio-ken, much to Krillin's disbelief.

Goku slowly stands up before he faces Jiren, who is calmly standing a few meters away from him, and chuckles before he says, "Heh, heh. You've outplayed me, Jiren. Hard to believe I couldn't even land a blow when I was at Super Saiyan Blue with Kaio-ken x20!"

After saying that, Goku turns back to his base form; however, this isn't a sign that he has given up, but instead the prelude of one of his most powerful techniques, the one that earned him many wins when the situation seemed hopeless.

I'm not the only one who realizes this, as Goku's son and Goza's twin brother, Gohan, also realizes what his father plans to do as he exclaims, "Just wait! There's one move left!"

At the same time, Goku continues his speech, "But I do have a full appreciation of your strength now. And that's convinced me to use something I've been holding back."

After saying that, Goku jumps on top of a nearby boulder and prepares to show his trump card, preparing a Spirit Bomb by raising his hands up in the air and yelling, "All right, everyone! I need you to lend all the energy you can spare! Let's go!"

The Spirit Bomb is a powerful attack invented by King Kai. It is potentially one of the strongest attacks in the whole Dragon Ball Multiverse, but its strength depends on the number of organisms supporting its use.

Users of the Spirit Bomb gather huge amounts of energy from all chosen surrounding life forms and inanimate objects to conduct that energy into a massive sphere of astounding destructive power.

Essentially, to use the Spirit Bomb, one must have a pure heart so they can manipulate and gather energy; otherwise, the move can backfire and possibly hurt or kill the user.

Energy takes the visual form of sparkling, glittering wisps when added to the mass, which are usually blue in color.

The creation of the attack promotes a calm breeze away from the bomb, which turns into a strong, continuous gale and expels colorful bands of radiation of Northern Lights-esque aurora.

The Spirit Bomb is quite swift when used and, if the user is not careful, it can absolutely obliterate a planet.

In response to Goku's request, Gohan doesn't hesitate to raise his hand up in the air and offer his energy while saying, "Take as much of mine as you need!" followed by Piccolo, who does the same and adds, "Yeah, same here!"

Goza also casually offers his own energy and mutters in a very low tone, "I'm curious to see if the combined power of this version of the 7th Universe Spirit Bomb can actually defeat Jiren."

At the same time, Android 17 also offers his energy while chuckling and telling his sister, who is doing the same, "I think we can both spare some." followed by Android 18, who adds, "That's right, it won't bother me."

Cell also doesn't hesitate to offer his energy while saying, "Take as much as you need. It won't bother me," followed by Broly, who offers his energy in an unsure tone, "Um... Erh... Okay... Like this?"

Even Krillin from the spectator stands doesn't hesitate to offer his energy to his best friend, while, as usual, Vegeta is the only one who refuses to offer his energy and says, "Forget it, Kakarot. I'm not gonna be your stupid crutch!"

Soon, the Spirit Bomb starts to form, and Goku immediately thanks everyone for the energy, but also realizes it takes too long to gather the energy, making him comment, "Thanks, everyone! But it's still too small... I'm gonna need a lot more time to gather enough energy."

Hearing that, Jiren tells him without any hesitation, "I'll wait. Take however much time you require. If this is your special move, then I want it done right. Go ahead and do your worst!"

In response to Jiren's words, Goku chuckles and says, "Hehehe. All right. I'm surprised. Thanks for being so accommodating."

At the same time, the Supreme Kai of the 11th Universe Khai comments, "Jiren will take on Goku's massive attack and then counter with a move of even greater might," which makes the God of Destruction Belmod chuckle and says, "Heh, heh. It's a simple but effective approach. I can hardly wait."

Marcarita, however, seems a bit concerned as she says, "I must confess I feel a bit uneasy, my lord."

As Goku continues to gather the energy for the Spirit Bomb, I see that Cyenne notices that Goku is too focused on Jiren, and without any hesitation, he sinks into the floor and starts to swim toward him with the clear intention of taking advantage of this opening to take Goku out with a surprise attack.
