The Advent of a Juggernaut

Seeing his boss shouting those words as if he would attack right away, the smaller-than-average bandit compared to his peer suddenly closed into his boss. He whispered something.

"It is true this young man's sword is unusual, that might be it if what you say is true. It is just like the description on the wanted board on every empire city since tens of years ago." The bald man grinned from ear to ear. Then he joked, "I have never seen any metal that looked like this. Even my bald head can reflect more light. Hahahaha."

'Wanted? I am so lucky I have had a compass to know where the east is.'

The bald man readied his weapon. His subordinates followed him unsheathing their swords. One of his subordinate looked bored and yawned, as if the scene that was going to unfold was granted to happen. However, this sleepy-looking guy seemed to be more impatient than the other bandits. Then he started speaking, "Boss let's just get on with this, let's cripple him and bring him to Mr. Jefferson." As he said that he walked forward quickly.

Charles felt more alerted to this sleepy-looking bandit, he knew the impatient person was harder to deal with. So he had to make a decision faster. And he decided that even though losing his sword here, he now knew the physical look of the bandits, especially the bald man and the sleepy bandit. Therefore, he could always look for his sword later on, it was not worth losing his life so early before he could even do anything.

"Wait! I might not be the person you're looking for. I found this sword somewhere in the forest. If you agree not to take me away, I will be willing to part with this sword." Charles gulped as he said that.

"Hahaha, at least the head on your shoulder still knows what is good for you. Come here hand it to me."

"No, you stay there. I will put this sword down here and I will leave."

The sleepy man yawned again and seemed to not care, and the bald man sneered. "Heh, suit yourself coward. Put it down and scram!"

Charles put down his sword and walked backward with his back facing the road that had a higher inclination.

When he saw the bald man take the Evil Dragonfang Sword. He suddenly heard an angry voice inside his head.

"What are you doing kid? That sword is my fang! It is mine!"

ROAR!!

Suddenly the sword disappeared into thin air and reappeared in Charles's hand.

He saw the bald bandit looking furious as if he was being fooled.

"What's the meaning of this kid? I don't care anymore! Man! Cripple him!"

The bandits started dashing toward him, and all of them were fast with their feet. However suddenly an arrow was powerfully shot and diagonally passed all of the bandits. The direction was from Charles's upper right, right on the cliff next level from the current one. The arrow itself didn't touch any of the bandits, however, some of them were injured from the gale that followed after the arrow.

"Halt! How dare a group of bandits climbing to this sacred mountain! Cease whatever you are doing!"

Charles could hear the voice, it was a girl. The voice tone was full and commanding. However, his attention was directed to somewhere else, inside his head.

'I am done for! Oi, foolish dragon what are you doing! Do you want to die together with me? If you want to die, just go die alone, don't drag me with you!'

'What am I doing? No, what are you doing?!'

Mortelix let out a furious roar, this one sounded much louder than usual. And Charles suddenly felt pain in his beating heart.

Ba-dump! Ba-dump! Ba-dump!

Each thump felt like being punched without protection and without readying oneself for receiving a punch. Charles hunched forward and gasped continuously. He then put his left hand to his heart and showed a pained face.

The girl called the weak-looking young kid, "Are you alright kid?"

But her worry only lasted for an instant. Her worry was now transformed into confusion and anxiety. Because she knew what she saw. With her mid-level eagle's eyes, she could see the weak-looking young man's pupils changing. From the usual circular human pupil to a slim jagged dark purple oval pupil standing vertically on both his eyes that looked sinister. Every random interval, there would be black lightning flashed in a random direction near each pupil. The pupil she was familiar with, because of her real mission of why she was stationed here in Aelk Village. However the young man's still looked more sinister, she had never seen lightning flashes effect on one's eyes.

When the girl was still startled by the unfolding development, the young man in her eyes charged forward with explosive speed.

With one swing.

Slush! The sound of flesh being separated by a sharp weapon. The young man's sword followed its arc unhindered, it struck true through the flesh and bones of two people like there were no resistance at all.

The scene in her eyes was painted with red blotches. Everything happened so quickly, she couldn't even think of what she should do, her brain was frozen up.

"Trash! Insignificant being!" The weak-looking young man shouted seemed as if the switch on his back was flipped over.

'I-insignificant being?!' She was flustered. Normally she would understand what being she was watching at the moment.

One of the bandits wetted himself and fell butt first and shouted, "m-monster! Monster! Please, save me!" His eyes were wide open and shaken, he couldn't take away his sight from the young man who turned into a killing machine. Each time the young man swing his sword, he arrived with tremendous speed, and his cape fluttered wildly.

They knew that only death await them out of this development. However instinct took over and all of the bandits tried to run away, however, this was path to the middle of Aelk Mountain, and the path was linear. Their fate was already decided.

After she recollected her mind, she stood firmly, showing the dignity of a seasoned warrior. She shouted downward, "You, what are you? What is your purpose? This is a sacred mountain and important place for the Eternia Kingdom." She put her left hand holding the bow, and her right hand took an arrow from her quiver, this one seemed special, the arrowhead gave a hint of glow. She continued, "I prefer not to fight against you, but I will have to bind you and take you to the village. What do you say?"
