"Ok, how many square feet of wood do you have ready for delivery?" I asked and he was deathly silent for a minute, "What?" he asked surprised and I repeated myself, when I heard him whisper questioningly, "He doesn't mean to buy all of it?"

I chuckled, "Maybe Michael, I have a new investor and you're the only logging company I trust to do business with, plus since your sister is with my beta I thought we could cement an alliance." I finished letting that sink in.

'I have not talked to Kate, but once she understands why then she will not deny me' I thought

and I heard some movement, "so you want to buy all my wood and setup an alliance? What's in it for you?" He asked questioningly, but I don't want to show my hand too soon, "this is a business proposition Michael and I am willing to be a silent partner to get your thumb from under the council," I dangled with a carrot and he went silent, he's scared and I can't lose this.

"You won't lose you sanction Michael... How much do you need," I asked hoping to buy him in and he choked out, "80k" which made me sit up a little straighter. I have the money, but it is more than I thought and thinking about the 2nd Realm, I knew It is a risk worth taking.

"How many square feet of wood do you have available?" I asked again and I here a rustling of papers being turned with a pause,

"A hundred and three thousand square feet," he said and I smiled like a Cheshire Cat

"Perfect, ill take it… I will have your sister get in contact with the payment and delivery of the goods, then I will contact my lawyer to draw up paperwork for the business," I said as I heard him breath in deeply, "Daniel… How?" He asked, not really believing his luck.

"I have a new investor that is on our side Michael and this is our ticket out from the councils greedy midst and hopefully make life better for all supernatural beings," I said and he pushed back.

"Daniel that sounds great , but were only fifty wolves and we can't lose our sanction," he said quietly, worry in his voice, "what you're asking is at a great risk," he whispered and heard the desperation to know I'll be there.

"I understand your fears, but the risk is much greater for everyone, you and me and all the supernatural world if we don't seize this opportunity now…" I said leaving him to fill the gap and after a moment of pause, "im in," he said more resolved and asked me what everything is for and I didn't want to give any details just yet.

"If any of the council come sniffing their nose just say you got a break and sold your stock," I told him and confirmed he will be down for the winter hunt, "great, I'll fill you in on the details when you get here and have all the paperwork ready" I said finishing the call and heading back to my room.
