I pressed my hands against my jeans, then tugged at the edge of my shirt before Ean’s hand reached over and clasped mine tightly.  I could feel the tremble in my hands as I looked up meeting his eyes.  I could feel tears gather in my eyes as he smiled down at me.  “I shouldn’t be putting all of this on you, this was my responsibility.”  I looked away unable to hold his gaze, his green eyes so full of trust while I was filled with doubt.
