14. The Day of Departure 2 : The sudden invasion

"There is a rouge attack on the west side of the territory, there are a number of them. We need help there.", it was an anonymous message from someone in the pack.

Ryan stood up from the table.

The rest of them also stood up.

"Jeon-soo head toward the east territory with two units of wolves, call half of the wolves from the northern territory if required, and tell the rest of the guard to stay at the post and remain alert."

"Yes, Alpha headed to the east.", the two said in unison and ran outside jumping through the window.

"Myung-soo, guard the inner area, send a message to everyone to stay inside, and make sure that no rouge can enter the residential area."

Myung-soo nodded his head and left from there.

"Iseul and Eunha stand guard for the house and Eunae! go with all the kids to a safe place."

"Yes, alpha."

After commanding them, I also jumped out of the window and ran toward the east territory converting myself into the wolf form.

On my way, I contacted Hwan.

"Hwan, head toward the east territory right now."

"I am already on it, I will be there in a few seconds.", Hwan replied.

"Fine, I am on my way too."

Within a minute a was at the east territory where Rouges intruded.

There were actually too many of them, approximately more than thirty of them. I gathered more wolves just in case we are still less in number, seems like Jeon-soo hasn't called the guards from Northern territory. If required I will call them myself.

"Don't let anyone get in.", I roared.

After saying this I get myself into the fight.

I first saw a rouge coming inside, I ran toward him at full speed and started the fight by biting his neck and throwing him on the ground with a thud.

I took care of the most who got in crossing the territory after passing my wolves.

I saw one of the rouge hovering over my wolf, I ran toward him before I can reach him I saw another wolf helping him.

But...

It was Jay, my little brother.

I will talk to him later. First, I have to manage these rouge.

After, one hour of the fight. We were able to get rid of them, and some of the rouges ran back while a few died.

I saw around me.

Jeon-soo came to me running, "we have successfully sent them back", he reposted to me.

"We didn't send them back they ran away because we were able to defeat them."

Jeon-soo looked at me with confusion.

"Check, if one of the rouges lied here is still alive. Take our wolves who are injured to the pack doctor and report me the casualty."

"Yes, alpha.", Jeon-soo replied.

"Jay! come with me.", I said with a firm voice enough for everyone to hear me.

"Jay? How can he be h....", Jeon-soo stopped mid-sentence after seeing Jay there in his wolf form.

No one of us knew that he was here.

"Jeon-soo, take care of everything here and call another unit to exchange duty with the guards. And, Hwan takes someone with you and checks if there is some rouge hiding around."

The two nodded, they called for help to remove the bodies of the rouges and to take care of the rest of the things.

"Jay, follow me. I will take you to the infirmary myself.", I converted myself into human form.

Without saying anything, Jay followed me after converting to human form.

"Jay, who ordered you to come here."

"Hyung..., I was on my way to the pack house when the message came."

"You are still a child.", I said in a bit louder voice.

"I am an adult, now hyung.", he said in a low voice.

"You are not.", I roared in aggression.

"You can't always keep me in the shades, I also wanted to help you and stand beside you in each of your fights.", he said.

His eyes were shining with the moon's reflection.

I think he is actually grown up, he can stand by my side in fights and help me manage the pack. I think I have decided what to do.

For some reason, my eyes were also getting filled with tears.

"Hyung.", Jay said holding me by the elbow.

"Even though you are an adult now, promise me you will never set out to fight without my permission.", I said will a full throat, keeping my other hand on top of it which was holding my elbow.

He nodded his head.

The two of us came back to the pack house.

I asked Eunha to bandage Jay.

Jeon-soo came to me to report.

"There isn't any casualty, a few have little injuries, no one is deeply injured. Our wolves fought greatly."

"They were just rouges, if someone gets seriously injured that will be a shame on us. The problem is they attacked in groups."

"Rights, It is somewhat odd for them to unite and attack."

"It can be dangerous. Is there any rouge caught alive?"

"There was one who was still alive but died before we can take him to the doctor."

"That means there's no one."

Jeon-soo nodded his head.

"But I don't think there's anything suspicious to be careful of."

"And why is that?"

"Other packs faced such attacks recently a few times."

"Why wasn't I informed of that?"

"The attacks were on faraway places, I just got to hear about them a couple of times. Maybe they are just trying to invade to stole some food. The pack's food storage is also near the east territory."

We saw Myung-soo and Hwan coming toward us.

"I have checked everywhere, and everything's fine.", Hwan said.

"That's good"

"Ryan, don't forget you have to leave now too, for the scared night.", Myung-soo said.

"I know, but after this attack. I don't know it will be alright for us to leave or not."
