13. The Day to Departure 1

Evening, Ryan's office

The door opens and a voice removed my attention from the papers I was looking into.

I saw Jeon-soo and Myung coming inside.

"Ryan, are you done with your work?", Jeon-soo asked.

"No, I still have a few things to go through."

"You have to leave by ten, you are done with your packing, right?", Myung asked me.

"I packed my bags the last night after returning from the night check."

"Good then, I already gave the spare keys to your office to Myung. The last thing, is there anything important I have to take care of before we leave?", Jeon-soo asked.

"Not anything particularly. Myung hyung, I know you will handle things perfectly. Protect the pack.", I said smiling.

"I will not let you down."

"We are going then, I will check everything once more. And also, be on time for the meal too.", Jeon-soo said.

"It will not take too long."

The two left from there, closing the door from behind.

Huh... I will complete this early quickly and then I have to keep important papers in the safe.

After a short time, I was done with the papers, these are some important papers I have to keep safe.

I am done with everything, I will take a bath as I reach home. I stretched my arms as I stood up from the desk and left after locking my door. I will take these keys with me, Myung already has a spare for the office.

I went toward my home, we are having an early meal today. First, I will take a bath, and then will go for dinner.

There's quite a commotion outside, I saw Hwan loading his luggage in the car. He saw me while I was going in.

"Are you done with your packing or do you still deciding?", Hwan asked me as he came in with me.

"Done, don't worry."

As soon as we entered, Iseul came in front of us with a bag.

"Take this one too.", She gave the bag to Hwan.

It was a blue bag with a penguin drawn on it. There's only one person who is obsessed with penguins in this house, and that's Dong-woo. But why his bag?

Hwan took the bag from her and went out to put it in the car.

"Wait! Isn't it Dong-woo's bag?"

"Oh! yup, we have some sort of situation here.", Iseul said.

"And what is it?"

"Dong-yun was the only kid coming with us and he was too attached to Dong-woo, so because of that, we decided to take him with us. It's better this way he can have some company. I hope there isn't any problem with it.", Iseul said.

"I don't have any, just take care of the kids especially, it's not your honeymoon trip anymore.", I said as I went toward my room.

"Oh! don't worry about that, Eunha will take care of both of them.", I heard her voice from behind me.

I headed towards my room.

I went inside, I have already chosen the clothes I will be wearing for the departure.

I chose track pants with a hoodie and a pair of sneakers, except for these expensive sneakers the rest is my usual outfit for the day. I and Jay will be taking the same car and I am the one to drive so it's better to wear something comfy rather than something extravagant.

I opened my cupboard, I hung them on a hanger.

Suddenly my mind shifted toward the locker in my cupboard.

I have kept that family heirloom in the locker, lately, I was thinking to pass it on to Jay just as my father gave it to me instead of my brother. But will it be right to give it to him?

I closed the cupboard and went into the bathroom wrapping a towel around my waist.

I came out of the room after dressing up, I will put on my shoes later. Let's wear house slippers for now.

I went on and sat at the dining table, some of them are already there. Myung is helping Eunae and Iseul to serve the food.

"Dong-woo, will you call aunt Eunha for dinner?", Eunae asked the little kid.

"Okay.", Dong-woo got down from the chair and went to her room.

In the meantime, Jeon-soo came.

"Where is Hwan?", I asked Jeon-soo as he was the only remained to come.

"Someone called him on the territorial post, so he went there. He will come soon, he said we can start eating he will join us later."

"I am hungry let's eat.", Eunha said as soon as she came.

"Fine then."

Everyone sat at the table to eat.

I tried to make contact with Hwan through mind-link, I want to ask him if it will take longer for him to return.

But before I could contact him, someone sent a message on the mind-link to all.

"There is a rouge attack on the west side of the territory, there are a number of them. We need help there.", it was an anonymous message from someone in the pack.
