Elma let her eyes fall to the brown envelope within her grasp. It had taken so much for her to pull away from sneaking into the content of what she was holding. Picking her face back up, she said simply, "I did what you asked me to do, Sir."

"Meaning you haven't checked the content of what it is you are holding right there."

"I haven't , Sir."

"Good."

Elma nodded.

"There are two things you have to know," Riccardo started his talk, "the first is although you started working as my assistant already, there is certain documentation you needed to have done before officially resuming your work with me yesterday. But for the situational speed with which we had to make that trip to Escades, I would have had you meet with Mr. Douglas to discuss and finalize the terms and conditions of your working here at this firm, not to mention you becoming my Assistant all at once.
