Apology II

"Woah," Elma blurted, genuinely shocked at his awkward hypothesis. Just before she could offer him a piece of her mind, a delicate print rested on her shoulder prompting her to turn around.

"Elma Gray, right?" the voice sounded female and very polite.

"Yes? And who are you?"

"Emily. I heard you got to become the boss's P.A yesterday. I waited to see if I could steal a chance with you for lunch but saw no sighting of you anywhere close to the cafeteria. It is so nice to finally meet you."

Nice?

Elma let her brows arch on purpose for a second's worth before putting them back in place. "Well," she said through a mini sigh. "I guess it is also nice to meet you too, Emily."

The woman whose face was a cute oval cut under her scanty fringe, smiled again and this time, Elma noticed the gate in her tooth. "I am more excited to meet you. So, yes, the pleasure is all mine, Miss Gray." Emily whispered her last words breathily.
