Kidnapped?

Blooming flowers, flourishing trees that bore juicy fruits, and exotic wildlife scattered themselves across miles on end. The cool wind breeze along with the bright sunlight reminded anyone of a refreshing summer morning. Animals of all different sizes were living together in what seemed to be a paradise. Prey lived peacefully along with their predators and the predators never bothered trying to harm them. Along with all of this majestic imagery, there was a flowing river with crystal clear water that was connected to a pond with lotus flowers and lily pads.

It could be described as a normal day in this paradise. However, there was a foreign presence laying quietly on the rich grass. The various animals all surrounded the 'thing' creating a circle, yet at the same time, they strictly kept their distance and simply observed.

This 'thing' had some sort of silky substance on its being that reminded many of a spider's web. However, the silk wasn't a pristine white and was instead a black as dark as the night sky. On top of this, the onlooker's instincts yelled at them to run as they looked closer at the object tightly grasped in the hands of the 'thing' in front of them. It was an odd circular object that contained materials that they had never seen before throughout their lifetime.

This 'thing', of course, was Sylvia. Laying peaceful and bathed in sunlight, she rhythmically breathed as her chest moved up and down signifying that she was, at the very least, alive. She still bore her black dress that didn't fit at all with the organic and natural environment she was in. In her hands laid the same watch she held when she first arrived.

Hours and even days went by as she laid on the ground sleeping. Many animals simply lost interest while others decided to inform the other inhabitants.

Finally, after what seemed to be an eternity, two human-like figures appeared as they hovered over her, a man and a woman. With some hesitation, they approached the slumbering Sylvia and decided to carry her a place where they could question her.

Arriving at a large tree with a suitable amount shade they had her lean against the trunk of the tree as they simply observed her. Especially the watch and clothes she had. They were curious as they had never seen anything like this before and were also curious about the purpose of these items.

After about an hour more of their staring, Sylvia slowly regained her senses. She felt the rough bark of a tree against her back along with the lush grass on her hands and legs. Knowing full well that she was outside when she should still be in the mansion she hurriedly opened her eyes wide and immediately saw two figures, which she assumed were her kidnappers.

She paused. She looked at her 'kidnappers' and they looked back. She tried to assert her environment and situation yet her eyes never left the two individuals.

'D-do they have no shame? W-why are they n-n-naked?' Sylvia's internal thoughts rampaged as she looked at the two in front of her as they were in their birthday suits. She swiftly reclosed her eyes and looked away from them. Due to her overwhelming high intelligence at a young age, she naturally matured much quicker than most of her peers and she naturally knew the birds and the bees. This also didn't mean she wouldn't be embarrassed talking about it.

Although she didn't show it on the outside she too held childish thoughts and ideas yet she simply found difficulty in expressing herself. She would often appear cold and overbearing due to her emotionless face when in reality she would be experiencing said emotions internally.

The two figures in front of her were wary yet oddly curious. The child in front of them was similar yet different from them and as far as they knew they, and one other, were the only ones inhabiting this location. To find another person was intriguing to them and noticing the hair color of the child they knew that she wasn't related to the other inhabitant. The woman ended up being the first to break the silence.

"Who are you?" The woman asked the child in front of her with her brown eyes and hair.

'Huh, doesn't she already know who I am? Why is she asking such a question after all she kidnapped me, didn't she? No no no, that's not what's important in the first place, WHY DOES SHE NOT HAVE CLOTHES ON?' Sylvia's internal yelling continued as she continued to have her eyes shut closed refusing to even take a glimpse at the shameless pair in front of her.

"What are clothes?" The woman simply spoke as the man beside her nodded in agreement to her question as they looked curiously at the child.

'D-did I say that aloud, or did she read my mind. Haha, my thoughts must've leaked out, there's no way for them to read minds, that would be outrageous. But just in case, c-can you hear me?' Sylvia thought all of this internally as she finally peeked one of her eyes open to look at the response of the woman as she was diligently nodding her head to her question. This made her freeze in shock as her mind was definitely being read by the woman in front of her. 'D-doesn't she know what privacy is?' She said as she peered once at the man as well and noticing their similarity in eye color, hair color, and even facial structure, safely assumed they were siblings or somehow related by blood.

'Wait this isn't even relevant, what did she say earlier? 'What are clothes?' how could she possibly not know what clothes are. In the first place where even am I?'

"The 'Garden of Eden' of course. Now tell me who are you are and what clothes are, is it that silky string on your body?"

Sylvia simply froze and information all about the Garden of Eden that she had learned surfaced in her mind. However, putting two and two together she realized a crucial fact and desperately suppressed a certain part of her knowledge to the depths of her conscious.

"Hmm? You already know me? How do you know our names? I haven't even seen you before!" The woman, also known as Eve, completely forgetting about the clothes, was surprised that she already knew the names of both herself and Adam. Eve was also surprised to see that she already knew of the tree in the center of the garden and on top of that she even called it 'The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.' Adam and her only knew that they should never eat fruit from that tree no matter what, nothing more nothing less. Yet here they were hearing the child in front of them call the tree by a title.

"The tree of the knowledge of good and evil?" Eve tilted her head and instinctively put a finger on her lip as she pondered. Sylvia looking at her immediately thought she was pretty and seeing her in such a cute pose her cheeks reddened slightly. After all, both the man and the woman were 'perfect' in every shape and form. Her beauty outshined Sylvia, for now. She was confident that once she grew up she would definitely win over this woman, surely, she still had a long way to go before adulthood.

But putting that all aside Sylvia was confused and a little scared. She knew a lot about the Garden of Eden, after all the modern-day hidden city 'Eden' was named after such a place. So she also knew that the garden itself was a near myth and also never existed in modern-day society and was only known many millenniums back in time.

'What year is it?' Sylvia thought this assuming that she would get a reply from the brown-haired beauty. "What's a year?" However, her reply was all she needed. Not knowing what a year was in itself was enough for Sylvia to understand that she was in the past, and she wasn't simply sent back to a time period she was familiar with, like she had read in web novels on her computer. She was sent all the way back to the beginning of the world and its creation. She slowly recollected herself and began thinking as she would normally do. Sylvia would often think whenever she was nervous or afraid as somewhat of a coping method.

Seeing Sylvia's internal struggle, Eve turned to the person next to her, Adam, and asked him. "What should we do? I feel like she is similar, yet different from us."

Adam too, went into deep thought and came to a conclusion and declaration, "We should inform His Holiness and ask him for his guidance, he will descend here in a week and that is when we shall ask him. For now, we should simply look after her and make sure she doesn't do anything too out of hand." His decisive answer and reasoning always charmed Eve as she agreed with him and stood up to go grab some fruits, Adam himself was getting a bit peckish due to spending so much time looking at the child.

Sylvia hearing their conversation realized one important factor, she would be with them and they would look after her and that was great and all but, what would happen when He finds out about her existence. She doubted she would be able to hide all of her thoughts against Him as she was doing with Adam and Eve. She realized the possibilities of what would occur, and she was nearly certain that she wouldn't be treated very nicely in the Garden of Eden when He finds out that in the future her kind had already eaten the fruit.

Realizing her train of thought she hurriedly look towards Adam and examined his expression and noticing no changes with only a face holding confusion on why she was staring so intently, she sighed in relief. She was scared that she would read her mind and she reminded herself once again to not think about such dangerous thoughts unless she was completely alone. However, she realized that perhaps Adam couldn't even read her mind in the first place, or he needed Eve to read minds. After all, she was only fully able to talk with Eve through her thoughts and Adam was silently sitting beside Eve agreeing with her questions.

She decided to test it and simply thought, 'Adam don't you feel embarrassed being naked?" Sylvia was still young so although she knew of the concept of sex, she didn't feel anything looking at Adam's naked body, the truth was, she was simply curious yet also a little embarrassed seeing a blatant exhibitionist with no shame.

However, time went by with no words spoken from Adam, she even viewed his facial expression to try and see any slight indicator or reaction. Seeing no such reaction she decided to be even bolder and think. 'I want to eat the fruit from the center' She was taking a little bit of a risk as if he was able to read her mind then he would be extra vigilant and would make sure she wouldn't take a single step near the tree. But, she was certain this was one of the only ways for her to get an obvious reaction if he was able to.

Seeing no reaction and not even a single movement in his facial muscles she lightly smirked as she soon thought, 'You aren't so perfect after all.'

Time passed as she saw the figure of Eve approaching them with a bountiful harvest of fruit in her arms along with a parade of animals following from behind.
