Garden of Eden

Eve and her entourage came towards the two with their bountiful harvest of fruits, although the animals surrounding her seemed somewhat wary towards Sylvia, Eve dropped all pretense and plopped down right back next to Adam.

"What fruit would you like missy? I have apples, mangoes, pears, plums, and peaches!" Eve said as she listed the various plump and colorful fruits in her arm. 'I'll have a plum.' Sylvia thought and Eve handed her a beautiful purple fruit that was oozing juices. Seeing the juicy and alluring fruit in her hands she began to gulp in reflex as she brought the fruit to her mouth.

Taking a bit as big as she can with her small mouth, she was shocked at how delicious it was. She had never tasted anything comparable to this as it also washed away her worries. As she was lost in her stupor her status window popped up as a system notification informed her of something incredibly shocking.

Mana Core: F- >>> F

Your body grows stronger]

Now she was truly confused. Normally raising a single rank in a mana core takes at least a month no matter how talented you were. Even if she accounted for the fact that she had a boosted growth due to utilizing an A rank awakening crystal, it wouldn't explain how she was able to advance so quickly. She looked down at the fruit in front of her and marveled at its greatness. Quickly finishing the delicacy in her hand she realized that it did indeed contain mana, and on top of that it was pure mana. Pure mana was unique in that it didn't contain any impurities that normal mana contained and its effectiveness was also leaps and bounds more than normal mana on top of this pure mana was incredibly hard to come by and was usually only ever discovered in dungeons where the outside world couldn't interfere with its pollution.

However, the amount of pure mana present wasn't enough for her to overcome an entire rank. She began to ponder deeper as Eve merely looked at her funny as she couldn't understand anything she was thinking. Mana? Awakening crystal? She simply ignored such thoughts as she too indulged in the heavenly fruit.

Sylvia concluded, that it was the mana storm that took her here in the first place and credited all of it to that phenomenon, and decided to stop lingering on the topic. However, as she was slipping away from thinking about it she realized she forgot something as she looked around her frantically searching for something.

Seeing her looking around her and patting down her body as if looking for a certain item, Eve thought of the circular item she was holding earlier that slipped from her hands while she was asleep and decided to help her out.

"Your sitting on it." Sylvia, hearing those words stood up to find the broken pocket watch laying on the grass where she was sitting. 'Thank you,' saying these words Eve smiled brightly as Sylvia focused on the pocket watch in her hands. She was extremely confused about what it was and what powers it held that were capable of bringing her back to the beginning of time, Genesis. Unfortunately, she would be unable to know as she didn't have an appraisal artifact on her when arriving here and she highly doubted that she would be able to get her hands on one.

She simply sighed at her curiosity as she put the watch behind her back before teleporting it within her inventory not letting Adam or Eve see. She asked Eve for another fruit and she gladly handed her a mango, once again confirming that most likely all of the fruits in the garden held pure mana, she savored the juicy flavor. Taking the opportunity she decided to boldly confirm her earlier theory about Adam. 'Adam can you perhaps not read my mind without Eve? I was trying to talk to you earlier.'

Adam, now hearing her question, nodded and stated "I was wondering what you were looking at me so intensely for, that's right, reading minds of animals, and I suppose you, is Eve's power."

Sylvia assumed it was similar to a unique ability but was also curious about how people even had unique abilities in this day and age. What she knew, at least, was that supernatural abilities only appeared after the eclipse. This also led her to think about the reason why mana existed in fruits now when mana only invaded the atmosphere during the time of the eclipse.

Seemingly deep in thought, the two naked individuals left her alone as the sun was slowly beginning to set, signifying to everyone it was time to rest. The animals around began to huddle closer around Adam and Eve while still keeping a distance from Sylvia. Seeing their wariness, Eve simply told them that the child meant no harm to them.

The animals, hearing her words, were still a bit hesitant. However, moments after, the first to emerge from the crowd and approach her was a snake that was barely 6 inches long. To Sylvia, the snake was certainly exotic as it had vibrant and shiny black scales along with pitch-black eyes. Sylvia watched as the snake slithered toward her without any hostility. Reaching her hand out to it, the snake latched onto her arm as it wrapped itself around her wrist akin to a bracelet.

At first glance, it appeared to be a simple black accessory that had a scaly texture.

Seeing the snake take the first step, the other animals became less reserved and began surrounding her. Feeling like a princess, she took in the fluffy furs along with the refreshingly cold scales. Surrounded in what seemed to be heaven, she soon drifted off into a slumber under the eyes of the countless animals.

Eve, looking at the sleeping figure, smiled slightly as she also saw Adam also dowsing off in nature's embrace. All of the animals surrounding them began to mimic the two humans and also went into a deep slumber. As if waiting for everyone else to fall asleep, Eve slowly removed herself and headed to a different part of the garden.

Walking under the moonlight she was left alone as she listened to the flowing river water and the fluttering of leaves. Taking a deep breath of refreshing air, she continued her stroll to the end of the river.

As she followed the river while humming, she soon ran into the majestic pond. Unlike in the morning when the pond was surrounded by animals, it was now devoid of wildlife as a lonely figure was bathing in the middle of the pond.

Eve, having a mischievous thought, slowly quietly across the pond and eventually crept behind the bathing figure. Upon closer look, the figure was the definition of a redhead, and along with this had beautiful hazel eyes. On top of this, her body had curves in all of the correct places and it appears all of the fat on her body was concentrated on two large mounds near her chest. Her beauty, similar to Eve, was out of this world. After all, the figure in front of her was also His creation.

Slowly creeping her arms forward, Eve abruptly covered the eyes of the gorgeous redhead. "Guess who?" Eve said mischievously.

The figure, instantly realizing who it was decided to have a bit of fun and teased the brown-haired goddess. "Hmm, I can't recall such a woman who interrupts my bath."

Eve pouted at her words and said back, "What do you mean interrupting baths!? You interrupt my baths all the time big sis Lilith."

"Haha, I'm just joking with you little Eve. So, what did you come to me for?" Lilith said as she gently removed Eve's hands from her eyes and continued bathing.

"Do I need a reason to visit my big sis?" Eve said as she too began to cleanse herself in the crystal clear water. "Hmm, no you don't, but every time you visit me it's because you want to complain about Adam," Lilith said teasingly.

"I only complain because after I was created he pushes all of the chores to me and I end up having no time to spend with my big sis," Eve said as cutely as possible as she began to fake cry.

"Hmm, so what would you like to talk about?" Lilith said as she pulled herself and Eve out of the water as they sat close together on the edge of the pond.

"Actually, I was curious if you knew about the girl that appeared out of nowhere today." Eve leaving behind her playful attitude was now serious looking at Lilith. Lilith seeing Eve's eyes, knew she wasn't joking around honestly answered her. "What child? How could someone even enter the Garden of Eden in the first place? Also if it's another human it would mean that He also created her."

"I don't think He created her, she was wearing some sort of string on her body and she had a foreign object that doesn't belong in the garden. On top of this, the animals told me she appeared out of thin air and slept on the grass for days on end before informing Adam and I."

"How strange, are you sure she isn't a demon sent here by Satan?" Lilith said worryingly as if a demon really did invade the garden then it would send the entire place into turmoil.

"I don't think she is a demon, she looks like a regular person just like us, the strange thing about her is that she knew who Adam and I were and even called the tree in the center, 'The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.' Speaking of which, I still don't even know her name!"

'Haaa, how can you talk with someone and not even know their name.' Lilith internally thought as she marveled at the stupidity of the woman in front of her.

"Hey! I can hear that you know." Eve said as she pouted and turned her face away from Lilith.

'She's so cute when she acts like this, makes me want to pinch her cheeks.' Lilith said as her hands moved toward the puffed cheeks of Eve.

Hearing Lilith's internal thoughts she lightly blushed as her cheeks were being pulled and played with by Lilith. Even if this wasn't the first time that her cheeks became hostage, it didn't mean that it wouldn't sting later.

"Well for starters, you should find out her name and keep a close eye on her until He descends. I won't be able to be with you, we both know how Adam feels about me." Lilith said as Eve nodded with tears in her eyes and her cheeks a bright red.

"Ah! I almost forgot! She also doesn't speak! That's the other thing weird about her. She only communicates with me through telepathy. Maybe you were right and she's a demon hiding her devilish voice. I'll definitely get her to talk, if I found out anything else I'll come back here like always." Eve said enthusiastically with a new goal in mind.

"Mhm, have fun," Lilith said as she watched Eve walk back where she came from, she was glad that she was excited, after all, both of their lives have become boring and meaningless. Even more so for herself as she was essentially banished from the garden and was only able to stick around due to the pleas of Eve. She couldn't even touch any of the fruit in the garden.

She spent her time listlessly as she would sleep during the day and bathe in the water at night as she would often stare endlessly at the moon. Technically she didn't need to eat or sleep however, she still does so as there is nothing else to do in this 'cage' known as 'paradise'.
