Sophie Lynn looked at Polly Song and subconsciously stepped back, "What are you trying to do? This is the Parker Family, it's not a place where you can act recklessly."
"Miss Lynn misunderstood, I just want to discuss why you like Victoria Parker, who's a married man." Polly Song said with a smile, "Does it mean that married men are more charming?"
Polly Song mentioned "married man" twice in a row, almost cementing Sophie Lynn's identity as a third party.
As expected, Sophie Lynn's face flushed red, "You were the one who took the money and left, Victoria has nothing to do with you anymore. If Victoria finds out you took the money, what would happen?"
Sophie Lynn threatened, this woman clearly deceived Victoria.
Polly Song clicked her tongue, Victoria actually knew about this but hadn't done anything to her. If another matter was discovered by Victoria, her life would be in danger.
"Miss Lynn, you don't like Victoria Parker for his looks, do you?" Polly Song gave her a knowing look.
"Of course not, do you think everyone is as shallow as you?" Sophie Lynn immediately denied, "I heard you work as a laborer on a construction site?" She said with disdain, casting a glance at Polly Song; how could a construction site possibly be clean?
A laborer?
Polly Song was surprised by her new identity; a renowned architect's close disciple, adored by countless architectural bigwigs, turned out to be a laborer.
But thinking about her year-round presence on construction sites, it might as well be true, wasn't she just a laborer?
"Miss Lynn, adhering to the principle of women not deceiving women, I think I need to tell you something." Polly Song approached Sophie Lynn, though Sophie Lynn disdainfully stepped back. Polly Song didn't mind, "Actually, Victoria Parker likes men."
"What did you say?" Sophie Lynn shouted.
"I'm telling the truth, or else think about it; Victoria Parker is so rich, wouldn't I just stick with him? Why did I take the five million his mother gave? The five million is one-time, but Victoria's money is continuous, right?" Polly Song said earnestly, seeming to be entirely considering Sophie Lynn's welfare.
"Then he, then he just now..."
"He was fooling you; I'm even his cover for fooling his mom. Didn't you mention five million? He knew about the five million long ago, then gave me thirty million to continue acting with him, otherwise, would I be here? We're all women, I don't want to see you get deceived, right?" Polly Song said and pretended to slyly take out an agreement from her pocket, revealing the divorce and thirty million section, with Victoria Parker's signature below.
Sophie Lynn's worldview was shaken, her face turned pale, it's impossible, how could this be?
Sophie Lynn was so stimulated that she walked away, her steps shaky as she left.
Polly Song watched her leaving back and clicked her tongue, "That's it?"
The fighting ability was too weak; if it's about men, one should at least try to fight for them, not give up upon hearing they like men.
Upstairs in the study, Mrs. Parker had been watching her son.
"Although your grandmother specified in her will that the Parker Family would be handed to you, your uncles and cousins are all watching you like hawks. That Polly Song is who your grandmother foolishly took a liking to, what can she bring you?"
Victoria Parker leaned against the bookshelf listening to his mother's criticisms; he knew from the first day he came back that things were not peaceful within the Parker Family.
"Then why was my grandmother so insistent on her?"
"Your grandmother was just confused, who knows what she was thinking? Since Polly is willing to leave with money, why did you bring her back?"
"Years ago, the crisis within the Parker Family was unknown to outsiders, yet you were clearly aware. It was my grandmother who withstood the devastation to prevent the Parker Family from collapsing, how could she be confused?" Victoria reminded, which was what puzzled him the most.
"Your grandmother wasn't insistent on her either; otherwise, why didn't she leave anything for her in the end? Or even see her one last time?" Mrs. Parker said indifferently; if truly cared, she wouldn't have let Polly go so easily with just five million.
Victoria Parker twirled the phone in his hand and suddenly laughed.
"I'm talking to you, what's so funny?" Mrs. Parker grew increasingly displeased when her son laughed abruptly, "The Lynn family and Parker family are well-matched, marrying Sophie Lynn will be nothing but beneficial to you."
"Mom thinks I need to rely on women to establish myself in the Parker Family?" Victoria stood up straight and put the phone in his pocket, "I haven't thought of divorce recently, nor developing feelings with a woman, as for the Parker Family's matter, I have it under control."
Mrs. Parker was stunned as she watched her son leave; what did he just say?
Not thinking of developing feelings with women?
Then with whom?
Men?
Mrs. Parker could hardly stand, she leaned on the table for support; had her son gone mad?
Victoria Parker descended the stairs; Polly Song was walking out. Upon seeing him, she instantly reacted like she had seen a ghost, jumping away in a flash, running faster than a rabbit.
Even far away, she daringly made a face at him, and as he raised his hand, she scampered away like a frightened kitten.
Victoria Parker looked at his raised hand, a thief with a considerable whim but no guts, a timid little scamp.
Polly Song directly went to Daisy Joy Kindergarten to pick up Daisy and Charlotte Cook after school.
Little Daisy saw Polly Song and immediately rushed over, while little Charlotte followed leisurely behind, helping his brother carry his small backpack.
"Mommy, why are you back?" Little Daisy hugged Polly Song's neck and gave her a kiss on the face, being very affectionate.
"Mommy." Little Charlotte walked over, sternly calling her.
Polly Song crouched down to hug little Charlotte, routinely pinched his chubby cheeks, "Come on, give mommy a smile."
Little Charlotte gave mommy a forced smile, which was disapprovingly pinched at the corners of his mouth by mommy, not resisting at all.
This time Polly Song couldn't resist pinching him twice more; if they're bullying her, she'll bully her son.
"Let's go, mommy will take you home." Polly Song said, holding their hands as they returned to school.
Little Charlotte, being held by mommy, looked back once more at the man still on the big screen; he knew that man was Victoria Parker, the one who married his mommy three years ago and then disappeared, just returning to City A before.
An irresponsible scumbag!
"Charlotte, what are you looking at?" Polly Song saw her son constantly looking back and couldn't help but look behind.
"Wow, mommy, I know that handsome uncle; granny said that uncle is very rich." Little Daisy immediately shared what he knew with mommy.
Polly Song: "..."
Polly Song pulled over little Charlotte, "Remember, those handsome ones are all liars. When you meet such people in the future, run as fast as you can, don't you?"
As Polly Song said, her phone rang, she handed little Daisy to little Charlotte, freeing her hand to answer the call.
"Hello Miss Song, I'm Andrew Lindsey."
