Chapter 12: The Tables Have Turned, Hurry Up and Get Divorced

The security guard was sweating profusely and was about to carry little Daisy away when Victoria stopped him with a raised hand.

Little Daisy pouted and held back tears, struggling to get up by herself. She patted her bottom with her little hands, then looked at Victoria with innocent eyes and said, "I've seen you before, you're that very wealthy boss."

Andrew also wanted to step forward, but seeing Victoria locked in a gaze with the child, he didn't do anything.

"Where have you seen me?"

"There's a big sign at the entrance of Daisy Joy Kindergarten with you on it. Grandma said you're rich," Little Daisy remembered clearly. After all, he remembered the money, not Victoria.

Andrew: "..."

Truly, the innocent words of a child.

Victoria bent down to look him in the eye, "What's your name, and why are you here?"

Little Daisy scratched his head. His brother sent him here, but he didn't know why?

Oh, right...

Little Daisy suddenly clutched his tummy, "Uncle, I'm hungry. Do you have anything to eat?"

Victoria picked him up with one hand and went into the company, "Andrew, prepare some food for the child."

Being carried, Little Daisy made an "OK" sign to his brother hiding on the side. His brother told him to check if there were any pictures of mommy in the rich uncle's office.

If he could complete the task, his brother would give him two candies.

Victoria took him to her office, attracting countless gazes along the way.

Being carried, Little Daisy wasn't shy at all and even dared to wave his tiny hand to greet people.

Once they entered the office, Andrew brought some pastries, and Little Daisy exclaimed in awe, immediately grabbing a small cake to eat.

Victoria sent Andrew off to handle Mr. Parker's issue, sitting opposite Little Daisy, who looked like a tiny creature nibbling away. The way he ate was exactly like a certain woman's.

Victoria took a picture and sent it out.

[Michael Knight: What are you doing? Why are you sending me a childhood photo of yourself? Afraid I'll forget what you looked like as a kid?

Victoria: It's not me.

Michael Knight: ...

Michael Knight: !!!]

So, it wasn't his illusion; the child looked exactly like him when he was young, without a single difference.

Andrew couldn't tell because he hadn't seen him as a child, but he had grown up with Michael Knight, who wouldn't make a mistake.

[Michael Knight: You actually have a secret child?

Victoria: Legitimate.

All these years, I was only ever with one person.]

[Michael Knight: !!!

Michael Knight: Aren't you getting divorced? I was still waiting, you know.

Victoria: Dream on, it's faster than wishful thinking.]

Little Daisy cautiously ate his small cake, studying Victoria, his behavior exactly like Polly Song.

Victoria also looked at him, as if seeing a miniature version of herself, but the mannerisms were all like Polly Song's. Was it because of him that Polly Song was so eager to divorce, adding a clause of having no further ties?

Victoria had never thought about being a father because it seemed impossible to him.

But this soft and cute little guy in front of him felt like a sledgehammer gently striking his heart.

A heart that had long been cold was suddenly filled with warmth.

Little Daisy finished eating and carefully packed the leftovers to bring to his brother.

Then he jumped off the sofa, pacing around Victoria's office with his little hands behind his back, peeking and sneaking like he was imitating someone from yesterday.

Victoria leaned against the sofa, his gaze following him. The scent of milk, which he used to dislike, now felt incredibly sweet.

His child, connected to him by blood, would follow him around, calling him daddy with his milky voice.

Andrew came in with two documents, one was the evidence of Mr. Parker's crimes, and the other was the divorce agreement Victoria requested last night.

After reviewing them, Victoria handed over the file on Mr. Parker to Andrew, "Go ahead and file a lawsuit."

Andrew nodded but didn't leave, as he hadn't gotten a response about the other document.

Unable to wait any longer, Andrew spoke up, "Does the agreement need any changes?"

Victoria glanced at the divorce agreement on the table. Little Daisy, however, seemed to have discovered something new. He ran over and leaned on Victoria's leg, reaching out to grab the agreement, "What's this?"

Andrew instinctively wanted to pull Little Daisy away, knowing Victoria rarely allowed anyone to touch his things.

Victoria, however, picked Little Daisy up onto his lap and tossed the agreement into the trash, "It's not important."

Andrew: "..."

Yesterday, you didn't say that.

Andrew, being Victoria's special assistant, would be a fool not to realize it by now.

This marriage, more than likely, will not end.

"Where's your mommy?"

Little Daisy circled around but didn't see a photo of mommy. So this man wasn't daddy after all, Little Daisy felt a bit disappointed, and ran off with the rich uncle.

Since his brother was waiting below, Little Daisy quickly jumped off Victoria's lap, struggled to pick up the pastry box, "Thank you for the little cakes, uncle. Daisy is full, goodbye."

He took some without any sense of embarrassment.

Victoria watched the little figure with a backpack run out, "Polly Song, I gave you a chance."

Little Daisy was taken down by the secretary and politely bid farewell to the secretary sister at the door before running to where his brother was waiting.

"Here, this tastes really good." Little Daisy said with a cheeky grin to his brother.

Little Charlie furrowed his brow, taking the small pastry that his brother had been carrying, "Did you see what I asked you to see?"

Little Daisy wiped his mouth, "No photo of mommy. Charlie, he's not daddy, is he?"

Little Charlie was also unsure, but his instincts couldn't be wrong.

"Let's go back to school first, or mommy will worry." Little Charlie took his brother's hand and led him back to school.

He's certain he won't make a mistake, but it seems this man doesn't have a good relationship with mommy.

If that's the case, Little Charlie glanced at the sky darkening, then mommy should hurry up and break up with him.

Polly Song, initially a suspect, was also supposed to go to the police station, but before she could, news broke that Liam Parker, Vice President of Parker Corporation, had been arrested for embezzling company funds and leaking company secrets.

The boy who had gone to the model room with Polly previously was also arrested, having admitted to posting the drawings online.

Victoria's first significant takedown after joining Parker Corporation was his uncle, a true member of the Parkers.

Polly Song suddenly felt a chill down her spine; this man was indeed ruthless.

Distance is the best option!

Divorce, divorce, must get divorced immediately, can't wait another year, or I'll be left with nothing.
