Aslan's Honesty

"I heard there was a woman whose money bag was stolen," Ben said, telling the story his father's friend told him. At least he wanted to talk to Aslan, and the two of them weren't just sitting around.

"Yeah. That's me."

Ben almost hammered his hand from the shock. He turned to Aslan who was sawing wood in half and stared at the man in disbelief.

Feeling someone's gaze stabbing on his back, Aslan glanced at Ben briefly and returned to do his work.

"But, I have returned it. My wife scolded me for doing it. I've learned the lesson."

Ben was still shocked. Never before had he met a human as honest as Aslan. Stealing was indeed a criminal act. Ben tried to see it from the man's side and thought maybe Aslan was a little frustrated that they didn't have any money.
