Arc 3 Chapter 64 Soon

Pov Elin third person

5 goblins and five lesser kobolds, walked out of a corner. Like mindless slaves, they walked to Elin, awaiting their inevitable fate. Without flinching, Elin cut all 10 heads of. Not wanting to waste time, Elin stored the corpses and left.

When Elin left the dungeon, the clouds had departed. Leaving a beautiful clear night sky. The light of the suns far, far away, lit up the continent slightly. The dungeon guard was gone, replaced by an empty chair. Elin breathed in, collecting herself. She knew, she had to stay calm. The people of this city needed it. She walked of, in a hurry.

The once empty alleyways, were filled with the poor. From young to old, they cuddled, trying to keep their warmth. But Elin didn't care for them. She had a job to do and she would be damned if she failed. A dangerous glint, could be seen in her eyes. Terrifying everyone weaker than her.

When she entered the guild, it was silent. The adventurers, were either sleeping on their table, or they left. Leading to a quiet, harmonies energy. The staff seemed tired and ready to get of work. But that would have to wait, as Elin had more work for them.

She reached the counter, where she had talked to the receptionist before. But the girl was nowhere in sight, replaced by a human.

" What might i do for you, tonight." He asked, clearly tired of the days work.

" I'm here to return a complete request and leave." Elin said, noticing the mans need of rest.

" Ok just put it here and i will count it for you." The man said, as he yawned.

Doing as told, Elin emptied the bag, of corpses again. Five goblins and five lesser kobolds, hit the floor. The man started counting the corpses, while Elin put on her backpack again.

" That's 2 quests done and it's says here that you've met the requirements to become E rank. Do you wish to proceed." The man said, as he held out a golden pen.

" Yes." Elin answered, even if she didn't know what was about to happen. With Elins conformation, the man grabbed her adventurer card and wrote E on the F, changing her rank.

" There we go, you are now E rank. Good luck and come again." The man said, with a gentle smile.

" See ya." Elin said, as she walked out. She did a quick calculation how much mana she will recover over her sleep. Then she used that exact amount, to create a layer of water arrows. Hovering above the city. She quickly walked back to the dungeon, not bothering to sight see, on her third time, to the dungeon.

When she entered the dungeon, there was some weird light. All going in the direction of a corridor. Knowing what it was for, Elin walked through the corridor. She arrived at a giant room, with a bed in the middle. There was weird plants next to the bed. Elin knew what these plants were. They were called Slelotus. A famous plant, known for making it's enemies fall asleep. Knowing what they were there for, she simply walked to the bed and laid down. As she did, a weird green smoke, entered her lungs. Calming her nerves. But she didn't feel sleepy from them, just relaxed. Like she could fall asleep, if she tried.

Since Elin wanted to sleep, shortly after laying down, she did. It wasn't that big off a problem to fall asleep. Since she hadn't slept in a week.

Small time skip till Morning

Elin woke up sweaty. The environment she was in, had changed. She was surrounded by ice, yet she felt so warm. Like she herself had caused the warmth. Not wanting to stay in the warm bed, she got up. Even though it was - 75 degrees, she did not feel cold. She only felt warmer. Like her body was protesting. She had enough of feeling warm and tried to leave the dungeon. Like before, there was several lights, leading the way. When she got to the exit, she saw the guard from before. Seems like she had slept till day time. The guard was of course not the only thing that led her to that conclusion. The light of the sun, was hitting her in the face.

She was soon brought back to reality, when another adventurer entered. He looked strangely at the Elin. She wore thin clothes, that were almost see through. As it was her night dress, she used to sleep. Blood could be seen coming out, of the male adventurers nose. Realizing she was basically naked, Elin used magic to cover herself. And changed her cloths at 1500 mach. Making the dungeon shake from the sonic bombs. The adventurer that witnessed her body, was thrown onto the wall. With no sign of life. Realizing her mistake, she quickly healed the man. Since this was the first time she slept outside her village, it was confusing and scary.

Finally remembering she wasn't home, in the village. She got a grip. Leaving the dungeon, ready for a bloody war. Never before seen. Accept from the age of war. When the holy faction and the justice faction were enemies. She had been told stories, of the war crimes committed by both sides. After that day, she had lost much of her respect for the gods. But she understood Ragnar's actions. This war was used to get an alliance with the evil faction. So the war was worth it, in the end. As peace between the three factions was created.

Elin left the dungeon. The guard outside was surprised to see her again. As he hadn't seen her enter and he had stood guard for six hours. Just how long was she in there? The guard thought, as he moved out of the way. But he noticed something strange. She was carrying a man. He was the one that entered two minutes ago, so he was shocked to see the man again.

" He lost a fight with a monster, so i saved him." Elin said, as she handed the unconscious man, to the guard. Stunned by the development, the guard, received the man. He had known him for a while and knew he was the strongest adventurer in the city. Him losing to the first floor monsters seemed impossible. He was going to investigate it further. But not now, so he let the girl pass. Not wanting to possible offend a powerhouse.

Oblivious of the guards thought, Elin made her way towards the walls. She used magic, to reflect the light of the sun, to make herself invisible. She was going to the wall, to have the high ground. She was going to snipe all the monster and worshipers. Before her own army of monsters arrived. But when she got up on the wall, she saw someone. The dwarf, that had shown the way to the gate, was here. He was talking to another guard. They were laughing at something he said.

Elin didn't think she was going to see him here. But it was a welcomed surprise. Deciding to tell him what's about to happen, she canceled her magic. Scaring the people around her, as she appeared out of nowhere. Several weapons pointed at her, from different races and people.

" Long time no see." Elin said to the dwarf. He was shocked seeing her and order everyone to put down their weapons.

" To what do i own the pleasure?" He said, as he bowed to her. As he knew full well of her identity. It had conflicted him for a long time, after finding out. Should he tell someone, she was here. Or should he keep it a secret and respect her supposedly wish to stay hidden. In the end, he choose the second option, as he didn't want to bother her.

" Sorry to say it, but this isn't a pleasure. The evil factions worshipers are marching here as we speak. They will arrive in 3 hours. In 3 and a half hour, there will be a monster wave, that will help us. If you don't want to help, please don't be in the way." Elin said, as innocent and stupid as ever. But thankfully, the dwarf knew of her status.

This is bad, if it's her saying it. It holds the same weight as Ragnar's words. The dwarf thought to himself. But his friends and work partners didn't know what he thought. So they pointed their weapons at Elin, confusing her.

" Are you making up rumors and disrespecting the captain of the guards." One of the soldiers said, as he closed in, with his weapon.

In response to his actions, Elin disappeared. Appearing again, behind the mans back. Only leaving a sonic bomb, where she once were. She looked confused at the scared man. But her eyes turned hostile, once she figured out who he worshiped. Her master had said many things of them. The evil, of the holy faction. The evil goddess Xelena. The confused look in her eyes was long gone and killing intent was oozing out of her.

Clouds started to gather in the sky, as Elins eyes turned reptile. The thunder struck, as the rain started to fall. Every second, Elins figure was changing. She remembered the pain, her master felt. Even when he was just describing them. She remembered the story of the first Lakstar village. How they had raided and killed all of them. Using the strength of a whole army.

Weird sticks, completely black, started to form on her back. Taking the shape, of destroyed wings. In the gaps between the sticks, feathers of water formed. She looked like a fallen angel, ready to take revenge.

Her friend noticed what was about to happen and jumped between them. He was on his knees in front of her, bowing to her.

" I apologize for my friend. If he somehow offended you, i will take your anger. Please tell me more of the situation, i know you aren't lying. Why would a superior being, bother with weaklings like us." He said to Elin, bringing her out of her rage. She didn't know what came over her. It was like she was a complete different person.

" I apologize, the one he worship, isn't that great of a friend of mine." Elin said, as her wings disappeared. The clouds also disappeared, as she calmed down.

" I understand! You're god and Xelena aren't that great friend, if my understanding is correct." He said, trying to lighten the mood.

" No they are, but the worshipers hate each other and will never stop. What they did, 50 years ago, it will never be forgiven. The sin they committed, will forever be recorded in history. But enough of that. Don't get in my way. Me and the dungeon will protect this city, until the army of justice arrives. Until than, stay out of my way." Elin said, as she jumped of the wall. Wanting to find a place to think more clearly before the war.

What came over her, she did not know. That wasn't her, it felt more like her god. No, to be more precise, it was the rage, of all who died, that fateful week. Every time it's mentioned, she gets visions of things, she has never seen. But today, it was beyond the point of visions. She saw the life of her master, what he went through, on that day. How he fought back, how he joined Aratach and how it all ended. Her anger only increased. She couldn't even breathe, once she saw the end.

Even now, several minutes after the vision, her blood still boiled. She was going to see the end of the story. How the kingdom survived such an action.
