Chapter 142 A Trip In Tme

Ragnar's blue hair swayed in the winds of cosmos. He was hiding in the darkness, looking for answers. The beautiful starlight, in every color of the rainbow, failed to banish the darkness of the dimension.

Ragnar used his powers to their full potential for the first time. Anywhere, anytime. That was the true power of the nightwater. As long as it exists then and there, he can go there. But he is just like the nightwater, a spectator. Or so he thought.

A journey through time, that was what Ragnar was planning. If he could watch everything, perhaps he could find Paarthadox. He only had one slight problem, he didn't fully know how to control these new powers, yet he took a leap in fate into time.

Now Ragnar was in a peculiar situation. He was stuck in a time he knew nothing about. But he wasn't a coward. He started messing around instantly, when he arrived. Within seconds he understood he was currently in the third dimension. He had one theory on this, but he didn't like it. What if he traveled in time and had the strength of his current self. That would mean he is still in the illusion. But the most important part, he couldn't feel his system and his other soul parts, that were literally fused with him, were dormant.

Ragnar had no wish to stay in the empty space of the third dimension. He wasn't even in a universe, or multiverse. He was in one of the many pockets, that were empty.

So the first thing he did was to use the nightwater to guide him to a universe. Then he found a world with life forms, similar to humans. They were good enough, but he could tell they weren't humans. They were neither blessed, or cursed.

They seemed like a combination of elves and dwarves. Short, with pointy ears. They didn't seem to friendly to each other either. But he couldn't be bothered to find another world, what's the worst that could happen in the end.

Ragnar's body formed out of the water in a lake. It was currently night at this part of the world. He could feel a slight headache, as the world didn't like his unforeseen arrival. But it gave up on causing trouble, when it saw that Ragnar wasn't planing anything bad.

Ragnar was naked and was exposing all his well defined body parts. As he was walking up from the lake, a women short elf noticed him. She seemed shocked, why was there a naked man in the lake. But she got so shocked, it almost paralyzed her, when she saw his height. He was three meters tall currently, three times the women's size. As Ragnar noticed this, he dispelled some of the water in his body, making him one and a half meter. Now he just needed clothes and he would fit in.

His plan was to ride out the wave and wait for this time him would ascend. Then his play field would be leveled and he could look for this timelines Paarthadox. If he could find him, he could help him. Maybe he could find sealed Cronus and ask for help. He is after all a being that will become a time raptor once he ascends.

Ragnar grabbed the unconscious women and dragged her to a tree. He made her sit up, under the shades of the tree. Even though it was in the middle of the night. But he didn't know how long a day, or night was here and how long she would be out. So he didn't want to be an asshole, just leaving her in the middle of a grass field.

After he was done he left, he couldn't stay for long. He used the night to cover him, making him practically invisible. Sadly he didn't use it before, as he had no idea that the lady was there. His power's were very limited and he doubted he could beat a S rank with pure force. But with his knowledge of the laws and his nightwater and hidden chaos power's, he could probably fight of a SS. But he doubted there being anything above A rank in this world.

Ragnar entered a small village. All the hoses were built with some weird white and black metal. It seemed very and didn't budge to the strong winds terrorizing the village. The winds were quite freezing to get on the neither parts, making Ragnar's greed for clothes increase. So he simply walked towards a stall, where a line of people stood. They were waiting to enter a little booth that seemed to sell clothes. So he cut in line and got first. After that, he tried to imitate a gust of wind, to push the short dwarf that was about to enter.

He succeeded and managed to enter the little booth. The second he did, he heard a sound and all of a sudden he felt clothes appearing on his body. When the people outside heard this, they seemed confused and the first in line managed to see a glimpse of his clothes. Before he made them invisible like his body.

" A illusion mage is stealing clothes!" One of the short elves that saw Ragnar screamed, making Ragnar facepalm and run off. He had achieved one of his goals, now he just needed a place to stay.

Seconds after he left the place, five guards arrived, with a lady. She seemed flustered and enraged.

" Find that thief, do you have any idea how much I lose from just one pare of clothing?"

" Mam we know all nobles buy your clothes for their quality and their price. You do not have to worry. We know what clothes are stolen, so if we see a peasant with luxurious clothes they will be arrested and interrogated." One of the guards said, he seemed to be the leader if the group. As the women didn't even acknowledge the other's.

" Good I expect to see the thief in front of me tomorrow. So don't make any excuses."

While the guards were getting yelled at, Ragnar had already left the small village. He was in a really good mood and nothing could make the day bad. Now he just needed to use his slight control of water. That he had noticed was very bad. Probably because he didn't have the power of water yet. But he still made himself a house of ice where he would wait out his time. He didn't have enough knowledge to travel back to his time yet, so he was stuck here for a long time.

Days of waiting turned to years. Finally after nineteen years, he felt something. A headache, like his real self was hurt. But not killed. With that he figured out that he was talking to bus kun. Meaning he would soon get his power if godhood and water manipulation again.

He was giddy with excitement. Waiting for his time to come. After days of waiting he felt no different. He even started to give up, maybe he would have to make himself a god through his own efforts. But his thoughts were interrupted when he felt an extreme pain. A pain he vividly remembered. It's the pain he felt when the dimension attacked him, long ago.

With the feeling of pain, the feeling of power also took over. He could feel himself ascending. A process a being was usually unconscious under. But he was fully awake and got to feel his soul get ripped apart and reformed again, several times in a second.

The process underwent for about thirty minutes, before he finally appeared in the fourth dimension. The problem was one thing, he appeared next to this times Ragnar.

But he didn't seem to notice him, so he hid quickly. He could hear him talk to the system.

" System what are those weird markings?" Ragnar said, before a moment of silence. After the silence Ragnar said. " Okey, anyways how do I make this realm thing?"

As Ragnar was hearing his younger self talk to himself he wanted to punch him. But he knew of the hard times in front of him. So injuring the younger him wasn't the best of ideas.

Not wanting to waste any time right now, as he knew of the hectic times to come. Ragnar placed a mark on younger Ragnar and created a crack. It was small and hidden. Not even his system could see it, as it was to weak and separated from the younger him.

As Ragnar entered chaos he lost the ability to move for a fraction of a second, before he started morphing for a good minute. Ascending all the way to a fifth dimensional being through the infinite energy of chaos. After his transformation, he made the weak system inside if his consciousness consume the energy of chaos, knowing it could handle it. After about fifty days and a day on the outside the system woke up. When it did, chaos Ragnar also did. The good news was one thing, they had their memories of the future.

" It was a success then, great!" Chaos Ragnar said.

(There are still some years left on the outside world, before the war. System recommends the host increase his strength.) The systems cold and weak voice said. It was still very weak and would need some years of absorbing the energy of chaos, before it would be okey again.

So Ragnar stayed in chaos, while keeping an eye on Ragnar. He made himself peak of the fifth dimension and needed a small burst of power to become sixth dimensional. But he didn't have to for that, as he could see a giants hand grab young Ragnar. A small battle happened and Ragnar managed to escape, only to end up in Julias prison.

When old Ragnar saw Julia, he could feel her despair emit form her body and wanted to destroy some stuff. But he didn't want to mess with the timeline to much. He wasn't a observer, he could change and destroy timelines.

Julia sent young Ragnar to the frontline, but old Ragnar stayed for a while. Watching the little girl. She was starring into the dark abyss, with empty eyes. Only reflecting the darkness she was seeing.

But he had to leave soon, so he silently nodded at her, before teleporting to Ragnar.

Young Ragnar was standing in line, waiting for his turn. Once it was his turn he got a spear and was sent to a group of healers. With the man Ragnar had come to respect over the years. Josh, the first person in this world that saw his potential and the one that helped him a lot. This title would have gone to the general, had he not discovered his other plans.

" Listen up cannon fodders!...." Josh began his speech and young Ragnar listened.

After the little speech they left for the ships and old Ragnar followed them in silence.

The first part went smooth, they some people, Josh screamed at some gods and goddesses and they went to the frontline. A place that haunted old Ragnar to this day. The pure mayhem and evil going down in this war made old Ragnar lose sleep. It was after all his first ever war. But he didn't feel scared being back here, he felt empowered. He was strong enough to kill the ones controlling the war in the fifth dimension now. What did he need to fear.

Everything was going smoothly and young Ragnar finally got to the frontline. It was as he remembered it, the first introduction to the place was a flying head. Flying towards the ship.

" It really does awaken memories!" Ragnar whispered.

" Did you say something Ragnar?" One of Ragnar's comrades asked, as he heard old Ragnar.

" No."

" Huh, must have been my imagination."
