CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
*Ten months later*
Now putting himself together, Jim employed Umaru as one of the managers to help him rejuvenate and bring back Diploma Group in business.
Joan left the company and all of her wealth for Jim to take care of. Joan's father was happy about it though he was still sick.
Jim visited Joan's dad to check up on him.
"Daddy how are you doing?" Jim asked.
"I'm fine... I am so happy to have Lamont, my house help, he helps me a lot. I literally couldn't have done anything without him" Joan's dad said quietly in appreciation.
Jim smiled and kept quiet.
"How far on the case of Joan's killers in court?" Joan's dad asked Jim.
"Yes about that Sir... The case was adjourned to next week and I think the final verdict will be by then" Jim said.
"That was hard..." Joan's dad was interrupted.
"What they did... nothing could compare to that level of wickedness" Jim said.
"My daughter... My star! My only hope and source of joy" Joan's dad said as he wept. Jim almost joined but he got hold of himself and consoled Joan's father.
