Chapter Three
Splash! "Hey watch it stupid" Kevin growled at Ravi who had jumped into the pond,
"Dont be a sour grape, come on in, its helps" Ravi chided, wiping the water from his face with the back of his hand
Kevin eyed Ravi and continued chatting on his phone -such a brat- he was so engrossed in his chat, that he didnt notice when Ravi came up behind him.
Kevin looked back at the pond but didnt see Ravi, "Where the fuck are..."
Ravi pushed him into the water before he could finish his sentence, "You need to chill, and take a cold swim". Ravi wasnt lying the water was extremely cold.
"You stupid vampire, i will get you" Kevin threatned, he felt his bones freezing up and thanks to his pshycopath buddy, his phone was probably in the same condition. Ravi lent him a hand to help get him out of the pond. "Great, i will have to get a new phone" he sighed. This wasn't the first time either.
Ravi snorted at him and removed his wet trousers "Well, you know where to, dont you"
"To the council, right?"
"Where else?, its not like we can escape them"
"hmmp, you are a noble vampire, but how you love to break the rules and be friends with those awful werewolves, i will never understand" Kevin said shaking his head. Ravi slipped on his shirt "Ever heard of keep your friends close and enemies closer?" he asked putting on his trousers.
"Yeah and i am pretty sure they are doing the same to you"
They both got dressed with kevin in his soaking jeans, it was a 5-minute walk to the spot where the parked their motor bikes.
"Race you to the meeting" Kevin challenged
"You really want to loose, dont you" Ravi replied putting on his helmet and starting the engine
"Never, especially to you"
"Well, what you waitng for"
Kevin secured his helmet and started the engine but Ravi had already zoomed off "Hey" he called out to Ravi who ignored him.
Ravi arrived first and parked carelessly on the road, ignoring the female warden who was dishing out tickets to him
"Hey slow mo"
"Cant believe you beat me here"
"Told ya". Ravi ignored the lady who was still pasting tickets on his bike and walked towards the building
"Mister please tell your friend to re-park" the warden adressed Kevin.
"Please pay him no mind, i will..."
"I dont care what you do, he should park his bike, i have no idea how he got his lincense" she shouted
"Mam'm please you're shouting"
"Why wont i? he parked on the road, how will cars pass"
Kevin looked at Ravi who had entered and was talking to the receptionist. The warden stomped inside, and pulled Ravi by the hand
"Hey, mister ,go park your bike, before i give you more tickets or would you love to come to the station with me?"
"Dont you dare get your germ filty hands on me, i dont want to catch that irritating bug, thats making you soo unbearable" Ravi replied, giving her a sneer. The receptionist bent her head to hide her smile,-If only this lady knew she was talking to the rudest and most arrogant vampire-
The warden was embarrassed but that didnt stop her from pulling Ravi back
"Women are always so clingy" he sighed and forcibly peeled her hands from his arm "Go get attention somewhere else" -this pathetic human was getting on his nerves-, he nodded to the Security men , who came immdiately and carried the woman away, she was screaming and hurling threats but no one paid her any mind.
"You didnt have to do that" Kevin cautioned, he had witnessed how his friend embarrassed the lady.
"What, i havent had fresh human blood in two weeks, besides she came in here willingly, no one forced her to come inside and also the government wont care a bit" They walked towards the private elevator which opened at the last floor
"Mr. Ravi and Mr. Kevin" the senior council man greeted them as soon as the doors opened and they came out, he strechted his hands towards Kevin who shook him but Ravi ignored him when he strechted his hand out to him.
"So down to business" Ravi arrogantly said and sat on his chair at the head of the table
"Yes, its about the werewolves" the council man answered
Kevin who sat down, looked at Ravi with a raised brow "And what is it about"
"Well, we the vampires are supreme beings and the werewolves are not. from recent reports, the werewolves want to be given a top rank to be recognized"
"Hah, vampires arent the only supreme beings, Dragons were too, before they were eliminated" The second council man chipped in. "And everyone thinks the were wolves were responsible for the attack"
"Yes everything, was orchestrated by our great leader here, King Ravi, your father is still proud of you" the third council man said and the trio smiled while nodding their heads.
Kevin looked at Ravi and he knew exactly what was going thruogh his mind, Ravi hadnt orchestrated the attack, it was Ravi's cousin who was responsible but since Ravi killed him and hid the truth, everyone thought it was him.
"But still the last heir still roams this world" the third council man reminded everyone
"Probably dead, if you ask me" the first council man chipped in
"I agree with you Porco" the second council man said to his partner, the first council man.
Ravi watched them continue with their theories, -he had to find the last remaining heir- he got up to leave
"You're going already?" Porco asked
"You expect me to sleep here?"
The elderly man shook his head and bared his neck as a sign of respect as the king passed by.
"So what next?" Kevin asked Ravi as he fell in step with him. Ravi pushed the elevator button to the ground floor and turned to his comapnion "Fish out the last one"
"How?"
"Her sister"
"Sister?"
"Hmmm, dont be silly, its known news" he chided his friend as they stepped into the elevator, "Bryon had a secret wife, Eleanor who gave birth to Lilian, then married Amelia, the witch, who gave birth to the girl we are looking for"
"How come nobody talks about Lilian and why is she not the heir?"
"Newly born dragon royals are taken to the fire chamber to spend the night without their mothers or anyone close by, Lilian was never taken to the chamber, so she is not consisded to be the Dragon heir, but Meliora was taken"
"So Lilian, isnt a dragon?"
"Nope, she is a vampire like us, like her mother"
"And Bryon married her, a Vampire?"
"Yes, i guess he believed that his child will be great as her parents were from two powerful clans"
"So is she powerful?"
"Nope, only took her mothers vampire genes, what a waste of effort"
"But her mom was maried to him, Bryon?"
"Yes"
"Sooo...."
"Bryon loved Eleanor much and didnt want to put her in the lime light, so she would not be targeted by enemies and he loved his daughter too, so he hid them from the world and married a witch whom he depsised, they had a daughter, Meliora"
"Yeah , no one for the past 500 years has that name, maybe she is dead" Kevin guessed stepping out of the open elevator,
"Maybe she is dead" Ravi muttered behind him. "Maybe she is"
