Chapter 2: A New Friend

"You can go now and take your lunch," our teacher said. I fixed my things first when someone call my name...

"Mel!" someone's shouting my name.

"What!?" I annoyingly shouted.

"Someone's looking for you! He's to handsome!! But I think he's nerd," she said from a happy person down to a disappointed woman.

"What? Who is he?" I ask and then put my bag on my back.

"I don't know, she's just asking your name. You know gurl, I envy you! You didn't tell me that you have suitor now!" she said exaggerating, I move my feet and go outside.

"Nii-san!" I shouted because I'm looking at his back and when I saw him.

"Mel," he just said and then patted my head.

"Where are we going to eat?" I ask and then say goodbye to my classmates.

"I think there's a canteen here," he just answered and look for it.

"Let's go," I said and then we headed our way.

"What's do you want nii-san?" I ask him when we arrived in front of the seller.

"Me? Maybe I'll get noodles," he answered and I wonder why he pick something like that, I sense that he's not himself today.

"Okay?" I answered.

I volunteered to do it and I ask him to look for a table.

"Can I have two orders of noodles?" I said to the one who's in charge.

"Okay, I'll serve it in a minute," she stated.

"Sure...," I said and then I look around at this canteen.

"Here's your order ma'am," she said and then give a tray that has two bowls of noodles.

"Thank you," I said and then give my money to her.

"Here's change dear.. thank you and come again," she said and I look for my brother.

"Mel! Here!" he shouted and I look for his voice.

"Why do you have the same as me?" he ask confusedly.

"'Cause we're twinny! And I wanted to taste their original course here except your dishes too!" I shriekily answered.

"Owsss? Should I take that as a compliment?" he boastfully said.

"HAHAHAHAH... no," I said and then we continue eating.

Lin's PoV

After our teacher went to say goodbye, I packed my things and head to the canteen. I'm really starving since second subject.. and now I'm here joining the line.

"One noodles and juice please," I politely said to the seller whom I think a kind person.

"I'll serve it in a minute ma'am," she answered. Shems she looks like a chalaziferous.

"Yes, thans," I only said and then I look around at this canteen to look for a table but unfortunately I can see that all tables are occupied already.

"Here's your order ma'am," she said and then I turn around to get it because I was too busy looking for vacant seat.

"Ummm, excuse me.. how much all?" I shyly ask.

"Thirty seven ma'am," she answered politely.

"Wait a minute," I said and then I reach my pocket and grab a fifty pesos and give to the seller.

"Here's your change ma'am, thank you and please come again," she just stated and then I continued looking for vacant seat and table.

"Thank you too," I said before moving on.

After I ordered, I look for a vacant seat and when I found one I was heading on it when a groups of gays are going to seat there. Therefore I look around and found one again but now it's occupied but it seems it has one vacant seat on it. I don't have any choice and just head to their way.

"May I sit in this vacant seat?" I ask these two people who's eating together.

"Sure, here.. have a sit," the girl answered.

"May I know your name?" the guy in front of me ask.

"Oh by the way I'm Tareon Cyan, you can call me Tar for short," he introduced himself and asking for a handshake.

"I'm Melody Cyan, and you can call me Mel for short too," she cut in and offer her hand too. I'm too baffled which one should I grab hands first.

"Ahh ehh we can settle this by one after another," I embarrassedly said.

"Oh.. HAHHAHAHA," they laugh synchronizingly. They're really siblings huh.

"Hehehe sorry sorry," Mel stated.

"Ahh I'm Lizette Cherth, and you can call me Liz for short too," I introduced and then we shake our hands respectively.

"Uhmmm wait, are you by yourself? Also.. don't you have siblings or any relatives that enroll here together?" Mel asked.

"H-hey.. don't rush her!" her brother remark.

"Ah hehehe, please pardon her.. she's just really friendly and talkative person," Tar apologize.

"Hmmp!" Mel annoyingly roll her eyes.

"A-ahh don't mind it.. it's okay," I shyly said.

"So what is it? Do you have siblings? Or any relative friends?" she excitedly ask with her face smile.

"I have a sister and I have friends too, but.. one day when we went into school when she's a year six level she was caught," I sadly stated.

"What do you mean she's caught?" Mel ask.

"You mean she was kidnapped?" Tar ask and I just look down.

"Yes," I just nod and my heart kinda aches when I remember that scenery.

"They believe that I didn't do anything when my sister was kidnapped, they said that I'm selfish. They took all the blame to me, but as I stated to them when we're going to be kidnapped my sister sacrifice herself. She make herself a bait for me to free myself from them," as I explained my tears fell of.

"We're bound to school at that time and we're near in the alley when someone blocked our way, and then they captured us all the way inside to the alley. But I bite his hand because he cover my mouth and then I kick his balls to let him feel the agony, I help my sister with huge fourgon and then I straught the guy who's holding her with it in his feet. We were going to run when the guy I kicked earlier blocked again our way, we head back into the corner amd hid in the trash bin. I was out of breath and my heart was pounding so much, we haven't recovered yet when she started talking. I can still remember what she said that time, "I'll get their attention by running to the other side of the corner, in that time you will run and report what happened okay?" That's what she said and I was silently crying that time, I'm too afraid to let her go but I don't have any idea. I agree with what she said and she do as what she said, she stated too that she'll follow me once those guys are away. When I arrived at home... my uniform was too dirty and both of parents were so mad at me and asking me where is my sister, and I explained to them everything what happened," I lengthly explained to them.

"A-ah sorry, I just explained everything without asking you guys if it's okay," I embarrassedly said and just look down. Even now it still hurst when I remember those hurtful words that thrust my heart. I run too many obstacles just to realized that I don't need to take their words and it wasn't my fault at all. It was too painful for me as I talk back at her just to defend myself, considering that she has the worst and hurtful words. I don't want to let that happen again, feel that pain from her slap.
