Chapter Thirty-Four: Perfect Exits

Keith stayed where he was for a few more minutes, but I didn't. I took one more sip of my coffee, then set it down before pushing myself away from the table.

"For a woman that's so sure she doesn't want the attention of a man, you sure dress like a slut," Keith snarled.

I stiffened at his slur and turned back to him. "You are extremely thick, you know that? Thick as in stupid. Just because I dress how I do, doesn't mean I was leading you on. I dress as I do to make myself happy and couldn't care less how others think."

Keith scoffed at my words, but finally stayed quiet. He either ran out of arguments, or he no longer cared to listen to me any longer. I didn't mind because I didn't want to listen to him either.

"You might learn to keep your thoughts to yourself. Otherwise, you risk exposing your stupidity," I warned Keith with a sweet smile.

He glared at me once more, but I just kept smiling and swept out of the room.
