Chapter Thirty-Five: The Club

I turned to find one of the many people I had hoped to never see again.

Keith's pea-green eyes were glazed in his overly inebriated state. I had not wanted to see him again, much less see him drunk as a skunk.

This is not good. I looked around the room, trying to spot Scott or Molly. I shouldn't have walked away from them. I wanted to get away from everything for just a moment. But now I knew that it had been an awful idea. I hated that Scott was right. I hated it almost as much as Molly would.

But neither Scott nor Molly were anywhere to be found. My heart sank as I realized I was on my own. I turned back to Keith and looked down my nose at him.

"Leave me alone, Keith," I told him firmly.

Instead of taking the hint, my words seemed to just infuriate him.

"You know you think you're soooo much better than me. All you girls think you're soooo much better than me," Keith said wildly, waving his arms around.
