Chapter Thirty-Seven: Home

I stared hard at Noah, trying to get him to even acknowledge me. But he refused to even look my way. My heart shrunk to the pit of my stomach, and I hid my sadness behind Molly's back. She seemed to understand my needs because she put her arm around me and held me close. She was my protector at the moment, and she was going to keep me safe from the evil men. I had no idea if Noah was following or not and tried to peek over my should to see where he was, but he seemed to have disappeared into the darkness. Tears filled my eyes, and no matter how hard I tried to blink them away, they slowly began to fall down my face.
