All jumped without hesitation and no left behind. Just as his body submerged under the water, the sudden coldness attacked him. Ben reached to the surface with Alexis followed behind. Michael was ahead of them. His movement was slower. The water temperature decreased rapidly and he was about to be frozen. When his feet felt the soil under it, bounding and galloping, it was colder when he touched the air. The water gradually turned to ice. Michael dragged them to the bank safely as the ice stopped expanding a few inches away from their feet. His body shook violently. He looked at Alexis who was not different from a little frightened bird, violently shivering. The pink color on her lips faded and became purple.

“I’ve never swam as fast as this day.” He tried to breathe more. “But it’s fun.”
