Chapter 7: Mistake that can erase human kind

In Earth everone is trembling with fear. The anger, fear and sadness is bursting together at the same time. But they have nothing to do. Because Corlowall already has done something which will more likely destroy the human kind in no time. And Corlowall also knows that. All the people on planet is now fade up on him. They want him. They want to kill him. But why would it matter? Because they will also die in no time. And Corlowall obviously knows what he has done. He has done something terrible. Probably the culprit of the genocide of human. He lost his position. He has been arrested and now he is in a jail in Nicaragua. For his safety they have put him in there.

However today he will get interrogated. And his fate will be decided there. More likely he will get a life sentence maybe order of execution. He is ready for the consequences.

On the other hand the OPESTM military forces are now more alert. They have put additional army on Barmuda Triangle. Almost 10000 soldiers, heavy vehicles, artillery heavy weapons and air support are ready there. They are ready for any kind of threat. Even OPESTM's high command force has alerted the nuclear squad. If the situation gets out of hand they use that..

Still they are hoping any kind of response from MJC. So that this time, they will have a final negotiation with them but this time they will not dissapoint MJC. Serving the stronger is the wisest thing to do.

However Corlowall has been brought to court in California. Here will get interrogated. He comes to the courtroom. Everyone is looking at his face without a blink of an eye because they wanna see the person who has brought such a danger toward human's existence. Every high profiled personalities and leaders are present there. Even Paul and Veronica is there. But they are not mad at him. They know somewhere Corlowall is right though it was a complete stupidity. But the others, If they could, they would definitely kill him.

He stood before the judge and the judge asking

- You are Corlowall, the ex director of OPESTM, right?

- Yes, I am, Your Honour!

- Few months ago the OPESTM were able to reach with outer space living objects. Is this right?

- Yes, your Honour!

- They offered something, right?

- Yes, Your Honour!

- What was that?

- They wanted us to join their Megaversial League known as " Megaversial Judicial Council "

- Then you had a lot of briefing and meetings with all the world leaders around the world, right?

- Yes,Your Honour!

- So what decision you made?

- We decided to join their League.

- And what did you said to their representative?

Corlowall with guilt says

- I said no to them.

He puts him head down

Chattering form courtroom

Judge shouts

- Silence!

Then looks at Corlowall and says

- Mr. Corlowall Grahambel! You know what you did right?

- Yes, Your Honour. I am aware of my deed.

- All the leaders around the world trusted you. They sent you as our, the planet Earth's representative. But what you did? You just put us in danger by provoking them. What was actual reason for taking such confusing action?

- My mind said not to say yes to their offer.

Again chattering sound from the room comes louder.

Again judge shouts

- Silence! Mr. Corlowall, you took such a reckeless decision just so your mind said to do it? Don't you think it is a such a inadvertence act from a person with a great responsibility like you?

- If we agreed, they would use us as pawn and we would get destroyed that way also...

- Still we could have a discussion with them. We Could ensure our safety from them.

- Like the other 36 realms did?

- Mr. Corlowall are you taking the other outer space living object's words that much seriously?

- Why wouldn't I? Why wouldn't any of us? Can you deny the fact that the same organisation attacked us 100 years ago?

- That is the thing I am trying to say you. As you know, 100 years ago we were helpless. The army MJC sent, we couldn't stand infront of them for a moment. We have witnessed their advancement of science. It is clear they are running thousands of years ahead us and though we progressed a lot with our science, we are still no match for them. If they again send their army, all we have to do is just put our hands together and pray to God for an easier death.

- Sir, with respect, if we joined the MJC, they would anyway used us, our army to attack the rebel realms. Do you believe we would stand a chance against them (rebel realms)?

- But now we don't need to think that far. All thanks to you and your stupidity. Now only things we can do is now sit on our own chair, pray that some messiah like previous time comes to us and save us AGAIN.

Corlowall stays silent.

Judge says with soft voice I wish Soldier Prime was here also this time. At least we could have a hope for a negotiation another time.

Then looks at Corlowall then says

- However Mr.Corlowall Grahambell, what you did was absolutely nuisance. Do you feel guilty for your deed?

With a defeated voice Corlowall answers

- Yes, Your Honour ! I feel guilty about my deed.

- Now by the rule of 87 act 34, as you have admitted your guilt.the court also declares you guilty for your deed and now as punishment you will face a lifetime sentence..

Corlowall gives a hopeless smile. He was ready for this even for worse anyway. Now they put him in jail.

Month has passed. Everyone got busy with there own work. The fear is now lesser than before. Many of them forgot about the threat. But OPESTM military forces are still on high alert. The two Grand Super soldiers are leading all the squads. They again put additional forces on Barmuda Triangle. Scientists are putting their hard eyes on the door. Every country has provided some of their own military forces to OPESTM. But this event brought one good thing to Earth. All the countries are now united. Because they understood it is the time when every country has to stand by each other, forget all the previous enmity and put the hand of collaboration.

On Island Prof. Carter is still trying to do something different with the door. He wants to know how the door works. It may bring a possibility to communicate with the other side and ask for help and co operation. Though the leaders have ordered them to destroy the door. But their calculation says the door contains a huge amount of energy. So if they try to destroy the door, first it will need a huge amount of energy. But more importantly it may cause a huge destruction like blasting multiple nuclear weapon at the same time in a same place since it contains that much power. That's why Prof.Carter Did not agree with that decision.

Prof. Carter is near the door, having an observation as always. He has been working on this doors for almost a decade but still he doesn't know how to use it. Though it hurts his ego but nothing to do with it because this door got no frame. It has not even a door. Only a doorway. Lightens up when anyone comes and gives a radiation. A mystery!

That's all. Though now he has to face many kind of restrictions because of the current situation. He comes near the door. Looking it from every angle. Funny thing is everytime he looks at this portal door. He founds a new vision. Everytime the door gets different to him. Probably it changes its destination from time to time.

He is having a look at everything. Mason is near him. Due to this critical situation, OPESTM has appointed another additional Elite class Super Soldier, Jordan on the Island. He is now at the opposite side of the nearly 10 km away from the door. 3 more Elite soldiers are on 24 hours watch from Outside the Barmuda Island. They have also sent Mpho to Puerto Rico. Emilia is also with him and on Island 12 normal super soldiers are also assigned.

Prof. Carter is kind of tired. These days he has to do many things, many responsibilities on shoulder. Suddenly he feels dizzy. He feels like the ground is vibrating. Probably he needs some rest. But suddenly Mason calls Prof. Carter

- Hey, Professor! You feel this vibration?

So the vibration is not from his dizziness. The ground is actually vibrating. Pabbles are moving. Prof. Carter looks at Mason. Both of their eyes are almost out. Because they know the danger is coming. Assistant Professor Lauren comes to Professor and says with a fearful and loud voice

- Professor, the radiation gone up from 12 rads to 1000 rads just in three sec.....

Before she could complete her sentence, a sudden airburst occurs and Mason for some moment went blank. After some moment he puts himself together then looks around him. Everything around 1 km range has destroyed. Grounds are burning. He has been thrown at least 30 feet away from where he was. Then he looks at Professor. He sees prof Carter's dead body. Is that Professor Carter? It has to be Professor Carter. Where is Lauren? He can't see her. His vision is blurry. All he sees the corpes of 3000 soldiers around him. Only he is alive. But he is lying on the ground. Still everything is spinning to him. Maybe he survived because he is an Elite Soldier. He looks at the door. He sees five people are standing infront of the door. Their heights are in between 9 feel to 18 feet. And 3 of them are like giants with huge body. All of them are looking at him with their glowy devilish eyes and giving an evil smile.

Yes, they are the "FIVE LEAVES OF GUARDIANS ".
