"And if my knowledge serves me correctly," he continued with a grin, "you're 27 years old, right?"
Her frown deepened, her fists clenching at her sides. 'How long has this man been watching me?' she thought, her mind racing. 'He knows way too much.'
"Yes, I reversed time. So what?" Aurianna snapped, her voice defiant and cutting through the oppressive atmosphere. "If I have that kind of power, why wouldn't I use it? What fool would leave themselves to die if they had a choice?"
"Aurianna, you idiot! Do you want to get yourself killed?!" Eva's voice screamed in her mind.
"He's running his mouth way too much," Aurianna scoffed telepathically, her annoyance spilling into her thoughts. "And his cocky attitude is really pissing me off. I had to say something."
Eva's panic shifted into alarm. "This is bad. He knows way too much—more than I ever thought possible. I was certain I concealed everything. What the hell is he? Should I reverse time again?"
