Touka's POV
By the end of the day, I went to the mall and bought a jacket for him. I also picked out a watch to match it. Since Himeya was about 174 cm tall, I figured a black jacket paired with a white watch would complement his appearance perfectly.
"Then, I'll be going, Haru-nee," I said to Haruka on Friday night before heading out.
I took the train to Enoshima, a journey that lasted about two hours.
After Two Hours
As I stepped onto the platform, I glanced around, taking in the familiar surroundings.
"Nothing has changed, huh," I murmured to myself.
Well, of course, nothing had changed—it had only been a few months, not years, since I was last here.
I walked a little further outside the station, and that's when I saw him—a man sitting on his motorbike, waiting.
I waved, and the moment he noticed me, he removed his helmet. That was when I truly saw him again.
His dark green hair blended seamlessly with the dimly lit surroundings, and his deep blue eyes—those mesmerizing blue eyes—caught me off guard. They were as beautiful as ever.
"Himeya!" I called out.
"Yo, Touka," he greeted casually, walking up to me.
Without thinking, I threw my arms around him, holding him tightly, as if afraid he might disappear.
"Hey, what's wrong?" he asked, his voice laced with confusion.
I didn't know how to explain it. I had missed him. I had longed to see him. My mind had been filled with nothing but thoughts of him.
"I missed you."
That was all I could say at that moment.
He responded by wrapping his arms around me in a warm embrace, his voice gentle as he whispered,
"Welcome back."
Himeya's POV – Five Minutes Earlier
I stood by my motorbike, waiting near the station entrance. The quietness of the area made it feel almost abandoned, but I knew it was simply because it was a Saturday. Most people were probably enjoying their day off elsewhere.
The train arrived, and a crowd of people poured onto the platform.
"Whoa..." I muttered.
The scene felt eerily similar to my past life.
"Nothing's changed, huh..."
I glanced down at my phone and saw a message from Haruka.
[Is she there yet?]
Now she's checking in on Touka. I highly doubt she'd pull the same trick as last time... Not after everything.
I lowered my phone and looked up at the night sky.
The moon was beautiful tonight. It almost felt surreal—like something out of a comic.
Well… I suppose I am in one.
Then, in the distance, I spotted her.
A girl in a pink hoodie, waving her hand at me.
Her hair color made it obvious—it was Touka.
As soon as I saw her, I smiled.
I wanted to hug her. I missed her so much.
"Himeya!" she called out.
"Yo, Touka," I replied, walking toward her.
Before I could say anything else, she suddenly threw her arms around me. Her embrace was warm—so warm.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked, surprised by her sudden action.
"I missed you," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.
I exhaled softly and wrapped my arms around her waist, gently pulling her closer.
"Welcome back."
Café La Luna
After our emotional reunion, we headed to Café La Luna, a place we had often visited before.
The warm glow of the café lights spilled onto the sidewalk as we approached. Inside, the familiar scent of coffee and pastries filled the air, bringing back countless memories.
As soon as we stepped in, we spotted a group of familiar faces seated at a table near the window.
I smirked and walked over with Touka beside me.
"Sup, guys! I brought her," I announced.
At the table, four familiar figures turned to look at us.
"Took you long enough," Kousuke said, leaning back in his chair with a teasing grin.
"Yeah, we've been waiting, dude," Hiro added.
Touka let out a small chuckle.
"Haha, sorry. The train was slow," she said.
Kousuke smirked and shot me a look.
"Oh, please, it's not your fault, Miyako-san. It's this guy's fault," he said, jerking his thumb toward me.
"How the hell is it my fault?" I protested.
Hiro laughed, shaking his head.
"Haha, yeah, you're totally to blame, Himeya."
"Ugh..."
Touka giggled beside me, her laughter light and cheerful. Seeing her like this made all the waiting worth it.
Then, she noticed the girls sitting at the table. One of them stood up.
"You must be Touka. Nice to meet you, I'm Alicia," she said, extending her hand for a handshake.
Touka shook her hand and smiled.
"Himeya told me about you. Nice to meet you, Alicia-chan."
Her eyes then shifted to the girl sitting behind Alicia.
A girl wearing my hoodie slowly stood up, her movements hesitant.
"N-Nice to meet you, Touka-san," she said shyly.
It was rare to see Kei acting nervous, especially around someone she already knew.
"It's nice to finally meet you, Kei-chan," Touka said, smiling warmly.
I raised an eyebrow. "What's with you, Kei?"
She hesitated, then mumbled, "N-Nothing... I just thought that... Touka-san is beautiful..."
Touka blinked, then smiled. "Thank you. I also think Kei is beautiful too."
What a moment between them both.
"Take a seat, both of you," Hiro said.
"Ah... right."
...
Touka's POV
I was sitting with Alicia and Kei, listening to their conversation while occasionally glancing at Himeya, who was seated with the boys.
Somehow, Kei-chan reminded me of Haru-nee, but she was much quieter. Meanwhile, Alicia-chan gave off a friendly, outgoing vibe. I had a feeling we could become close friends.
"So, Touka, how's school? I heard you enrolled in one of the schools in Shinjuku," Alicia asked, taking a sip of her drink.
"I'm still adapting, but it's not too bad. The people there are really friendly, you know," I said with a smile.
Alicia chuckled. I tilted my head slightly, wondering what was so funny.
"The way you're talking… It's just like Himeya," she teased.
Kei, who was sitting beside her, also chuckled, covering her mouth slightly as if trying to hold back her laughter.
"Hey, Kei-chan, you knew about the way I talked. Why are you laughing too?" I pouted slightly.
"Haha… no, it's just… what Alicia-san said is true. You and Nii-san really do sound alike," Kei said, her voice soft but amused.
I immediately turned my face down, feeling a wave of embarrassment wash over me.
Himeya, help me… haha…
Himeya's POV
I was trying to ignore the fact that my friends had just called me out for blushing earlier, but Kousuke and Hiro weren't letting it go.
"Dude, you seriously looked like you were about to cry," Kousuke snickered, nudging my shoulder.
"Shut up," I muttered, taking a sip of my drink in an attempt to distract myself.
Hiro leaned closer. "No, but seriously, that was a rare sight, man. I don't think I've ever seen you react like that before. Are you sure you're okay?"
I sighed. "I'm fine. It's just been a while since we've all been together like this."
Kousuke smirked. "Or maybe it's just because Touka's back."
I rolled my eyes. "You guys are annoying."
Before they could continue teasing me, Hiro suddenly changed the subject.
"You're close with Kawasaki-san… right?" he asked, looking a little hesitant.
I raised an eyebrow. "Kawasaki... You mean Yuka?"
"Y-Yeah…"
…
What?!
"Why?" I asked, already suspecting what was coming next.
"I think she's beautiful…" Hiro admitted.
Kousuke nearly choked on his drink. "Whoa, hold up there, dude!"
"Y-Yeah, wait up, Hiro," I added, eyeing him suspiciously.
"What's wrong? I just said she's beautiful," Hiro said, blinking in confusion.
Kousuke shook his head dramatically. "That's not the problem."
"Then what is?" Hiro asked, tilting his head like an oblivious protagonist.
Kousuke gulped. "Yuka… she's the scariest one… right?"
"Hmmm? Is she?" Hiro asked, completely unfazed.
Damn, this dense idiot…
"Okay, I'm going to contact her," I said, pulling out my phone.
"Wait up! What are you doing?! My heart is not ready now!" Hiro panicked, grabbing my wrist before I could tap on Yuka's contact.
"Really?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah," he admitted, looking genuinely nervous now.
Kousuke burst out laughing. "Hah! I knew it! You're scared of her too!"
Hiro groaned. "No, it's just… I need to mentally prepare myself first."
I smirked. "Sure, whatever you say."
Hiro sighed in defeat.
Touka's POV
While the boys were having their ridiculous conversation, Alicia and Kei continued to talk to me.
"So, how long are you staying in Enoshima this time?" Alicia asked.
"Probably until sunday," I replied. "I haven't decided yet."
Kei glanced at me, looking somewhat hesitant before speaking. "Will you be staying with Nii-san?"
"Eh?" I blinked in surprise at the sudden question.
Alicia grinned mischievously. "Ohh, now this is interesting!"
I quickly shook my head. "N-No! I mean, yes, I'm staying at his home but... uh... Yes, I'm going to use Haru-nee's room."
"I'm using it, right now. So, Nii-san and Touka-san can sleep together." Kei said.
I felt my face heat up instantly. "W-We're not going to!!"
Kei, despite her usual quiet nature, nodded as she smirked. "Is that so?"
I covered my face with my hands. "Stop teasing me!"
Alicia and Kei laughed, clearly enjoying my reaction.
I sneaked a glance at Himeya, who was busy talking with the boys. He was smiling, his usual cool expression slightly softer than before.
I wonder if he wants... that kind of thing again...
Before I could dwell on the thought any further, the waitress arrived with our food.
"Alright, let's eat," Alicia said, clapping her hands together.
The conversation drifted into other topics as we enjoyed our meal, but one thought lingered in my mind.
I was finally back.
And for the first time in a long time…
It felt like home.
