3.11.1 Shot in the dark

"HEMGRUM! GURTUM! LAKARAMA!"

Chants that sounded demonic, but were somewhat soothing to the ears, echoed in Max's ears. Waking him up from his stupor.

The gamble actually paid off more than I had expected. A shot in the dark that where I barely had any expectations.

To me, the dagger was the clue. Originally, Max was never meant to be a huge part of my plan. He was always meant to be a chess piece that would be used for all he was worth and then discarded after he had fulfilled his destiny.

That was until one day, I got a bit curious about his dagger and then asked some associates for thorough research on it. And the answer I got, oh the nature of the dagger was much more special than one might think.

Sadly, the deity this dagger belonged to had fallen long ago. So long ago in fact, that its bloodline holds no power anymore, and it can only sustain just a single Knight, and that too through the support of the holy artifact, Lakarm's Tooth.
