Chapter 60: Anko meets Dragaia

---

So, y'know how I was alluding to the idea of picking up another woman in this arc?

BaaSheep123 made a great comment that was sadly deleted, but they brought up a point that made me almost consider just shoving Cameia in.

Emotionless...

I have literally no idea why, but that right there...

Thats a HUGE turn on for me...

I really like Dragaia too, don't get me wrong, but damnit if the idea of being able to write scenes dedicated to Emotionlessness really, really tempting...

I'd still need to actually flesh her out as a person, but I was already planning on doing that, but now I have even more reason...

Also, 335308 and 355617... if you know you know~

Entering the house again, I rose a brow as I saw Kurenai looming over Anko, smirking down at the normally dominant member of our group as she shivered slightly.

"Come now Anko~ You still have a little more to go~"

"K-Kurenai, come on... I-I haven't had any rest!"

Hearing the door open, they both turned towards me, Kurenai stepping back with a sigh.

"So, how'd it go?"

"It went well, Nai. We're getting a weapon for me, and a weapon for Anko."

Anko perked up at that, grinning at me before sending a furtive glance towards our raven haired Genjutsu user.

"Well, I guess she needs a reward after acting so good~"

Turning, Kurenai winked at Anko, before giving her a deep kiss.

"Alright, go, go. I'll clean up here, and then we can have dinner."

I nodded, chuckling at how Anko looked between Kurenai and I with a distrusting gaze, before sighing in relief.

"Is it finally over? Am I free!?!"

Anko grinned at me, joy on her face.

Stepping towards me, she wrapped me in a large hug, burying her face in the crook of my neck as she squealed in joy.

Giving her a pat on the back, I chuckled as I said "Just as long as you don't pull something like that again~"

Anko pouted at me, looking to the side as she muttered "I didn't mean to make her that upset..."

Grinning, I responded "Oh, and we didn't MEAN to do what we did..."

She turned to me with wide eyes, gulping before looking away.

Taking her hand, I whispered "Well, let's go, my love~"

Dragging Anko out of the house, I led her towards Dragaia's smithy, kicking on the door.

"Is that you Kokoro?"

Hearing her rough voice inside the building, I said "Yes, it's me."

The door was thrown open, and Dragaia looked behind me, towards the frowning face of Anko.

Stepping forwards, Dragaia looked her up and down, comparing her to herself before saying "Hmm, I think I'd be better than her..."

Anko squeezed my hand hard, almost snarling as she said "Who the hell do you think you are, huh?"

Dragaia pursed her lips, flipping her gaze between Anko and I before saying "Well, at least she steps up to protect what's hers."

"Dragaia..."

Hearing my exasperated voice, the smith shrugged before gesturing for us to enter.

Leading my irked wife inside, I waited for Dragaia to continue.

She was staring us over, before looking back towards the weapons on the wall.

Moving closer to them, she picked up two swords, looking between them before handing one to me.

It had a simple bone handle, no cross guard, and a blade that was four feet long and single edged. The blue metal was inscribed with various runes.

Surprisingly, when she placed it in my hand, it felt like I was holding a feather.

"This is a lighter, faster sword. Considering your build, you look more like an agility based warrior compared to power. Besides, with wind chakra this beauty would easily pierce most things..."

I nodded, gently slashing the blade around the empty space, marveling at the almost feather like weight.

"What are the runes inscribed on the metal?"

Dragaia grinned at me, before saying "Put a small amount of chakra into the blade."

Doing as she said, I widened my eyes when my chakra moved through the runes, increasing each time it passed through a new rune.

"What in the-"

Cancelling my chakra, I turned towards the smug Dragaia as she said "That's something of my own design~"

Moving closer, she looked down at the blade lovingly, before whispering "So if I were to make you as many blades as you wanted..."

I gave her a dry look, instinctively placing a hand on Anko's midriff as she tried to lunge forwards.

Chuckling, Dragaia looked between us with slight envy in her eyes.

"Well, for you there... hmm, lets see..."

Looking back at the wall, she alternated her green eyes between the daggers and Anko, before taking two off.

"Are you a power fighter or agility? I can't tell with your frame..."

Anko stalked forwards, snatching the broad, heavy dagger from Dragaia, who just raised a brow at her.

Twirling the blade in her hand, Anko held the blade up and looked at it.

It was under a foot long, and extremely thick. The blade was about four inches wide, and the runes on the blade weren't as complex as mine.

"The runes on that are just decoration; the dagger is meant to hack and stab with a lot of power. Made that before the sword too, so..."

Anko nodded, flipping the blade through the air before catching it again.

She looked at Dragaia with begrudging respect, before pointing the tip at the smith.

"Listen, Kokoro is MINE, you hear me? Try something again and you'll find your own dagger lodged in your throat."

Dragaia raised a brow, however she raised her hands in defeat.

"Fine, fine. I won't try anything..."

Looking to the side, she muttered "When you're here..."

Anko didn't hear that since she was marveling at the dagger, as well as looking over at me, her eyes burning as she saw me inspecting the sword.

As for what Dragaia muttered, I just shrugged it off; if she wanted to try and court me, whatever.

Unless she did something huge to sway me, or somehow managed to get Anko or Kurenai on board, I wouldn't even consider a relationship with her, or anyone for that matter.

"Is that all, Dragaia? We just... take the weapons and leave?"

Tossing us the sheaths, she nodded, leaning against a table before saying "If you want any other gear you'll need to bring the coin or another beast."

I smiled at her, chuckling as she bit her lip before looking away.

"Come on Anko; Kurenai should have dinner cooking by now..."

Anko grinned at me, tying the blade to her waist while I placed my new sword on my back.

Taking her hand again, I waved goodbye to Dragaia, looking back at my wife as she leaned towards me, whispering "You're punishments were brutal, so let me repay the favor, hmm?"

Her hand slid below my waist, and Dragaia's gaze was palpable as she watched us.

We made our way home, returning to Kurenai seasoning some strips of meat.

I helped her prepare the sides, enjoying the attention Anko gave both of us as she watched us.

Dinner was amazing, and what followed was an additional tasting of 'meat' as Anko displayed her displeasure for the last few nights.

After tonight, we were going to accept the Chieftess' and the Chief Priestess' request to hunt that 'Basan' creature.
